For all the haters who think Ducati's are fragile little mantle pieces that arent designed to be ridden like any other superbike, I just rolled 19,000 miles with this bike yesterday. 19,000 miles of daily commuting, ripping twisties on weekends, track days, finishing back tires like this, and enjoying my bike... and guess what... it still runs as good as the day I bought it and I have not had a single problem with it. Give the Italians some credit, they can build a bike too.
@frisc45 That's where everybody seems to miss the bus on their thinking. Ducatis are designed, built and tested on a race track. Classifying what "type" of people ride a certain "type" or brand of bike is just retarded. I love anything on two wheels. I own a Suzuki, a Yamaha, a Kawasaki, a Ducati and a friggin Chinese 150cc moped. Yes, I'll build a Harley eventually too. What "class" of person am I?
Keep up the great burnouts...there hasn't been a cycle that I haven't seen him do a burnout on. Cycles are meant to be riden hard...otherwise what's the point.
I actually LOL'd at comments calling Ducati burnouts "abuse". It's just a bike, people. When you're on your deathbed, will one of your regrets be "doing a burnout on a Ducati back in the day"? What kind of POS machine can't handle a burnout? A beater minivan can, but not this performance machine?
I dont have a bike but just wondering is that a vest oyur wearing because that buldge on your back is that just protection in case you fall? nice vid BTW
DUCATI SPECIALIST 1.WORST BIKE EVER MADE (A)JUST LOOK AT THE TRACK RECORD OF THE DUCATIS 749 YOU BE AMAZED :( (B)SOFT ENGINE MEANING .THESE BIKES ARE ONLY GOOD FOR ONE AND ONE ONLY RACING BIKE LIFE 70000KM. (C)SERVICE INTERVAL EVERY 5000KM ( EXPENSIVE (D)VERY BAD TRACK RECORD OF ALL DUCATIS EVEN THE SHIT 1098 ANSWER= APRILIA (A) ONLY PROBLEM EVER ENC-OUTED WAS GEAR CHANGING DUE TO GEARBOX SERVO EASY FIX!!!! (B)HARD ENGINE LIFE 200000KM+ (C)SERVICE INTERVALS EVERY 12000KM! (D)PARTS NOT EXPENSIVE
@PRIVATEFBI Racing bikes were always expensive and always had short service intervals... my KTM 620 was services every 3500kn... so what? it was street legal racing supermoto and gave me that kind of performance, unlike cheaper and longer service intervals XT660X...
@sabbathian Rock on. My little brother's first street bike was an '05 KTM 625 SMC... most fun thing to ride on the street EVER!! LOVED it, that thing withstood 14,500 miles with no problems other than having to replace a leaking base gasket once. He sold it to buy an 848 a couple years ago. Still miss that KTM :)
@acidangelster Thanks, it's got tons of torque so it requires less than 1/4 throttle to keep it spinning. Once it's hot and greasy, even less. Cruising on the hwy is more taxing on the bike, dont know why everybody thinks this is ruining anything more than a tire that was due for the garbage can anyways. Lmao.
@acidangelster Yes, the 848 is a torquey bike... it's a V-twin. There's one sitting in the garage next to my 1098 that I ride all the time :) It's my little brothers. Buy one, you'll love it, I'd venture to say it's almost more fun in the twisties on the street because the power is all useable and you dont have to be so careful. We switch bikes a lot riding thru areas and on the street I greatly enjoy the 848. On a big track like Road America (4 miles) I prefer my 1098. Both are fantastic.
@gedas1 Thanks man!! And respect to you for being one of the few who appreciate it rather than make fun of me for "RUINING" my 1098 lol. What a bunch of panzy's.
@nikezri92 I work in a small bodyshop, I dont make or have lots of money... wanna know my secret? I am single, have no kids, drive a piece of shit car and spend the money I DO have on the few things I love... Id rather be making payments on something like this than a car I haul groceries in. My car sits all summer long, I have 3 bikes :)
@Abraxxas1127 Dude, you're totally awesome. Fuck all the cool guys on cars. Bikes are the right stuff for men. For me bikes have affected a big part of my life. MotoGP is my liife. So, i've got another question, what are the other two rides? and could post cool vids of them.....
@nikezri92 Thanks bro. I have a '92 GSXR 1100, a '00 ZX12R Ninja, the 1098 and most recently a '79 Yamaha XS 650. Oh, and a stunted out Chinese moped my brother and I enjoy beating on. There are a couple vids in my stream of the moped and the XS, I dont have anything of the 12 up.
For everyone whining about him doing a burnout on Ducati.. Seriously its his bike he can do whatever he wants with it. If your a biker there is one thing you know, how much can you handle? Obviously he's a great rider and comfortable with what he's doing and can do it so its not a big deal to him. It's the retards that do more then they can handle that give bikers a bad name.
You call this stunting? LMAO This is a simple burnout, every bike in the world has or will do a burnout. I track-day it too, what a shame, huh? I bought it to ride, not park in a garage and look at. 14K miles and counting!
hey dude these people are retards they are the type of people when they were a kid mother wouldnt let them take the their toys in the yard to play. Just ignore them and hella nice vid btw ;)
@westeh LMAO!! You're right, it's still fun to read their mindless comments though, the fact that so many haters would cry about me "ruining" my beautiful bike is one more reason for me to continue to post videos like this. People's comments are usually directly related to their level of intelligence :D Thanks for enjoying their mindlessness with me ;)
sure, after the bike has won the race and done it's job.. they then rebuild everything.. so that abuse would be negligible....what did you win @ Timm's ?
@Sync13371337 read the discription. he doesn't regularly do that with his ducati. he was getting the last bit of fun out of a crappy tire after 3,400 miles. he sais he has OTHER BIKES he does that with... Jesus... and don't bullshit me by saying doing this for what was it? 40 seconds? is gonna rip the bike apart. what's the point of having a nice bike if you can't do that without it falling apart?
@Sync13371337 You people crack me up. You mean to tell me that a Ducati, which is born and built for racing and countless hours at a time on a race track at full throttle, pounding off the rev limitter... but it cant handle a 4K rpm, 1/8 throttle rolling burnout? I wonder how many of you people who talk like this have ever even ridden a motorcycle... LOL!!!
You're so full of shit, sportbike are designed to be put under allot of material stress you retard, a little 15 second burnout hasn't hurt any bike in the past
@Abraxxas1127 my uncle use to work on bikes and thats how they would burn out a motor for fun but ducati puts there bikes through test after test after test so no big deal i personal wouldn't do it every week i mean her and there should be fine
@Abraxxas1127 Yeah I agree. Unless you ride the hell out of the clutch of drop the bike, ther's nothing wrong with a burnout on that rev. Its not like youre on the limiter. Show offs give Ducati a bad name. Ducati bikes can take a little abuse.
@Abraxxas1127 The bike is puling on some weight, nothing is being ruined on it except the tyres with are suppose to be ruined anyways. Kids looking at the Ducati badge and red paint is all they know about bikes so i wouldnt worry much about what they say..Bikes can take much more abuse than can engines, since its designed from the off to run 12, 13 k rpm .
@123darkhorse Ruin the engine? He's probably not even above 5,000rpm with how low the exhaust note is. He's just putting away making burnouts look easy. Ruining a tire? Definitely.
What better way to end the tire's days? it should be given The Purple Heart! for it's contribution in it's life time, during it's struggle verus the tarmac!
