  • love the sound !

  • that's a real nice one ;)

  • Put a smile on my face when you started playing Little Wing.

  • Nice demo!

Is it easy to apply classic 57 gibson pickups on a viking deluxe??

  • needs some tuning tho ^^

  • Nice axe. Is the guitar still for sale? I have a newer Hag. but like you have mentioned the tone is a little different. Thanks

  • Tell me... How do you find the neck on this baby?

  • absolutely cool. and looks more d'aquisto than teisco :P

  • Check the Korg Guitar Tuners ;-)

  • accordala.

  • check out my video: old teisco del rey for sale.. with great vintage blues sound...

  • calante.

  • calante?

  • Actualy this guitar was very popular when it was built. It was very well made and should not even be mentioned in the same sentence as tiesco. As a mater of fact Elvis Presley played this same guitar in the 1968 tv special "Elvis".

Hagstroms are not extreamly high eng guitars, but clean ones go for around $900.00

  • Elvis played a Viking II cherry red, theres a great website dedicated to elvis guitars on the internet it was owned by Al Casey a great musician. I have almost completed building a copy, hopefully be able to try it out in the next few weeks, and compare it to this great sounding guitar and playing.

    Great to hear

  • you made it? whaha lol

  • it looks and sounds like a teisco guitar

  • really? it doesn't sound bad to me, zappa used this guitar even. but then again, teisco guiars are good for some music too.

  • how much

  • Have you already selled it? It would be a shame because this guitar sounds amazing.

  • Cool! This one has the fender-style six-in-a-line headstock!

There's something so cool to me about a six-in-a-line headstock on a hollowbody, e.g. a Fender Coronado. Cool guitar, very cool.

  • That's got to be one of the nicest sounding guitars I've ever heard. Do the new Chinese made ones sound as good?

  • Indeed. thanks. you won`t get that sound out of a new chinese one.. they`re really different: laminated maple body (mine is birch), humbucker (mine got some p-90ish singlecoils..)

but there is a new reissu out now: the viking IIP.. never played this.

    Cheers

    Cheers

  • hi. yes its still for sale. I will put it on ebay in the next days... I will let you know

  • @CheapMinor Do you know when you will put it on ebay? thanks

  • @CheapMinor I'm looking at a very similar (in appearance) Hagstrom... all i know is that it was made in the 60s (so I'm guessing in Sweden)... it has the fender style head with the tuning pegs all on one side. The pickups look identical to the ones in your (old) guitar in this video... Can I expect it to sound as awesome as this guitar? You've got exactly the sound I want goin on in this video...

  • is it still for sale?
