Un grande el Cte.Pablo Sar!!!. Es quien comanda este vuelo del video. Pero fue un 29 de febrero de 2008 en el BOEING CX- BOP que vole en cabina por primera vez. PDP/MVD. GRACIAS POR TAN BELLA EXPERIENCIA Y POR LO BUEN COMPAÑERO QUE SUPO SER CTE. YA QUE TAMBIEN COMPARTI VARIAS PATAS EN EL DIA DE SU CUMPLEAÑOS Y ALGUN VUELO JUNTO A LOS SAR, SU HERMANO Y UD.
Outstanding look into the operation of a gorgeous aircraft. Pluna has a striking rainbow of schemes that look to be inspired by the artist Escher. One of the nicest new liveries out there right now! Thanks for posting :)
I've noticed on some videos whenever there's gusty winds, that whoever is landing the plane is constantly fighting with the plane to stay straight, if you notice the captain is coming in and he's just going from left to right with that yoke, yet the plane to me seems to stay in the same place.
@TomcatMVD Some companies have standard operating procedures stating that thrust levers shall be released when passing V1. So no accidental braking should be commenced after V1.
Buen Video! Felicitaciones al Comandante que aparece al final, muy buen manejo de su inglés! pocas veces ocurre! Que les siga yendo bien a Pluna, saludos
A lot of airlines also do that for a captain or FO that is on their last flight before retirement. Kind of like a sign of respect and gratitude for their service.
why was i under the impression that "English" is the international Aviation/ATC language. Pilots are speaking English, but i'm hearing ATC doing a lot of Portuguese?
It's not Portuguese, It's Spanish. The ATC speaks Spanish in Aeroparque (ICAO:SABE/IATA:AEP) because its a regional airport and there is no need to speak English. Besides, charts indicate that in this Airport, ATC speaks Spanish. But if necessary, they understand and speak English very good.
The pilots speak in English on the airplane most of the times because the manuals and checklists are written in English
The new color of pluna has relation with the name of my country. Uruguay in the language of the aborigens that lives of my country means river of the colorful birds.
Its done by the airport authorities when there is a special occasion. I'm guessing there is something special going on here. Like first arrival, or Cpts last flight before retirement, or first Aircraft type into the airport etc...
They don't turn the engines off as such, it's a bit like taking your foot off the accelerator in your car. They continue running but at the lowest possible power setting.
Would all commercial jetliners put the engines in idle when descending or is it at the discretion of the ATC/Captain and other circumstances like weather?
to answer your question to the best of my ability, it's water firstly and secondly, I've seen a few airlines do this when they unveil either a new livery or a new aircraft in their fleet even sometimes at the launch of a new airline.
they where flying the plane in from canada so it was a new plane for the airline..they do the water gun spray in special ocassion..and when theres a fire..lol =)
Great vid, just out of curiosity,Just Planes would you all be doing anymore Airlines from the Caribbean? Seeing that you did BWIA already, would you try to do another like Air Jamaica or LIAT or even the new Caribbean Airlines?

The more likely explanation for the captain's good English is him being one of the Canadians chaps sent to MVD for training on these CRJs.
I was surprised to see the FO release the thrust levers when rotating, is this standard procedure?

BurialMusic 2 years ago
iddle descents are usually recommended for fuel savings.
pilotara 2 years ago
Some 40% of power is used in descend of 737. That is lowest I think. Of course they can always use speed breakers if needed.
