  • to bad conservatism is the polar opposite of communism

  • human nature is more empathetic than you think.

  • MARXISM WORKS BUT NOT WITH SNITCHES TRYING 2 UNDERMINE IT!!! whatTrotsky wanted was world wide socialism!!! WHEN LENIN CAME 2 POWER HE GAVE POWER 2 SOVIETS(local councils) SO THAT POLITICS WOULD REFLECT THE NEEDS OF THE PEOPLE!!!

  • @DomhnallX50

I don't do name calling morons or cursing fools. All you accomplished was getting blocked. Learn to disagree civilly. Otherwise you are the Poster Child for Road Rage Thuggery.

    Have a good life.

  • No offense, but as a Marxist myself, I assure you, that the Democratic and Republican parties could not be any more hostile to the idea of socialism. You won't find a single member of either party advocating socialism over the free market. It's just Right-Wingers who are using populist conspiracy theories to caricature a government that's just too moderate for their fascist sentiments.

  • I don't believe the government's responsibility is towards "babysitting" us and catering to us. Our finance and jobs are all up to us, outsourced jobs are being outsourced because we are slowly evolving, new jobs come in old jobs get removed. Remember the milk man? Decent job, prominent as early as the 40's but not so much in the year 2010. That's why education is important, because it helps you keep up with today's standard workforce and thus provides you a better chance at a great career.

  • Mr we dont have no social equality though we have men that can not get housing or living jbs so our government is not establishing happiness for all for them to declare that they believe in happiness for all is to declare they are utopians and they are not

  • @goodguy2949

It is not the Governments duty to make you happy.

  • @tmotofga Yes, but if it's the job of government to solve the issues of society and protect the majority, shouldn't government be trusted with the task of guaranteeing health care, a home, and employment -- things that are "must-haves" in today's society?

  • @TheLowBudgetFilms If you trust the government with that kind of stuff. The problem with government controlling/providing everything is they don't do it well. I know retirees are getting their social security benefits and checks slashed. You're just convincing people to rely on unsustainable benefits which is going to hurt people bad in the long run. People aren't learning from social security or the national debt.

  • Nice video, but i think you got something wrong, socialism is one step before communism, again is closer to democrats not the gop. Capitalism is good that how we became #1; Corporations have voluntary workers. Nothing wrong with making a profit. All Corp owners are different. People tend to overgeneralise.

  • pretty accurate... socialism also doesn't work because of the problem of so called economic calculation.

You're description of the GOP sounds more like economic fascism than communism though. I think most people think of communism as an extension of socialism, or vice versa.

Great video. I wish everyone knew the difference between these ideologies- and the little difference between the two parties...

  • conservatism is the complete opposite of communism

  • Social Democracy can be seen working in France, U.K., Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark (happiest country 2009) even Luxembourg.

  • Socialism is the arm of communism. Its the very mechanism via which a society is enslaved and turned communist ( socialist - communist ).

For example: the United Socialist Soviet Republic aka U.S.S.R. was communist (aka socialist)

Also, just look at what the sweet little "Z" in "NAZI accomplished. It created a dictator (Hitler).

    Socialism is no good.

  • "We can't expect the American People to jump from Capitalism to Communism, but we can assist their elected leaders in giving them small doses of Socialism, until they awaken one day to find that they have Communism."

    —Nikita Khrushchev

  • "We will bury your grand-children without firing a shot"

-- Khrushchev (on turning the West communist from within)

  • "I am for SOCIALISM, disarmament, and, ultimately, for abolishing the state itself...I seek the social ownership of property, the abolition of the propertied class, and the sole control of those who produce wealth. COMMUNISM is the goal." - Roger Noah Baldwin (Founder of the ACLU)

  • Socialism is Communism.

    People need to get educated.

What part of "United Soviet SOCIALIST Republic (USSR) don't you get?

What did the "Z" in NAZI lead to? Fascism / Tyranny. (The Z stands for Socialist).

Socialism is the very arm of Communism. It is the very chain by which a people are bound and enslaved.

  • socialism doesnt work with a dictator... but modern america and europe are proof that socialist democracy works

we have public schools (socialism) takes from workers and gives to kids education

    Socialism is nooooooo good!!!!!!!!

  • @wildboy789789 speeks the truth people in this country don't know what socialism is

  • The Ron Pauls and the Michelle Bachmanns are taking over the republican party, thank god. Down with the marxist/communist/facist regime in the white house.

  • YES!! Keep waking people up!!! I wish that a third party could rise up. What do you think of Ron Paul?

  • socialism=charity..child please!! socialism = welfare and secton 8....

The goverment can't run what they do have control over. Everything they touch ends up costing 10xs as much as it needs too. Look at the National debt since retarded Obamas been in office. Borrow from China for stimulas money. Yeah that worked out well! Good job Mr Barry Sorteo.. Im barach hussein obama...

  • hmm, I'm finished with the vid now. This was pretty interesting.

I have to say some socialism isn't bad at all. Stuff that should be given out of morals and not economics, such as health care, medicine... you know stuff like that. protection (police) fire departments, public libraries. all socialism.

Pure socialism is a bad idea, and so is any pure economic stand if you ask me. We need capitalism, yes. Their should ALSO be restrictions and the wealthy should be watched carefully.

  • still watching, totally agree with you on the first part you said about socialism, and I have said this many times.

  • I'm typing this while watching, and just want to say so far that you seem pretty smart and would be fun to debate with :)

  • Do me a favor, pay attention to what I said and listen to a few more of my videos. Then come back. I won't respond to what you just said because you obviously have me confused. Peace.

  • Those who rail against Socialism need to sign up right now to forfeit future social security checks, put their kids in private schools, forgo medicare, never drive the interstates and take their money out of banks(FDIC). Your taxes will be reduced accordingly. Then we stop giving welfare to billion dollar corporations. That money will be used for intelligent people who realize that life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness are not a matter of profit for the few but quality of life for the many.

  • Let's see:

    1. Kids are in private school (I still pay taxes to support public schools).

    2. I don't use Medicaid / Medicare nor will I ever. I am former US NAVY. They will give me all I need if (God forbid), I can't provide HC for myself.

    3. I work feverishly hard to build my business so that I don't need SS, but if I do, I paid into it. I have no problem getting back what "I " put in.

That being said, do I need to sign ANY list?

    Let's see.........No I don't.

    Thanks for the offer though.

  • good job calling GOP communists. thats a left wing ideal. if you were going for the extremes it would have been. "Liberal Dems / Communists VS Conservative GOP / Facists"

  • Negro please!!!!!!!!!!! you just want a nanny state so you can feel confortable with your slave roots. you do not want to be free. Typical under educated black guy pulling everybody back to slavery.

  • It is not luck my friend.

I get up and go to work everyday and seek means of enrichment for myself, family and friends (whom would have it also) so that we may strive and NOT be dependent upon Government. No one has ever told me what I cannot become. My only impediments have been my own personal choices.

So please, don't make it sound as though I am saying "I got mine, don't care if you don't get yours".

That is not what this is about.

  • Sorry J. No disrespect but no one has walked over me and I have never depended on a Social program for anything.

You and some of "YOUR" people may need it, but there are too many Blacks that have proven they don't.

    Peace.

  • great vid' TMOT

    ....

  • 14 identifying characteristics of fascism

    1. Powerful/Continuing Nationalism 2. Disdain for Human Rights 3. Identification of Enemies/Scapegoats as a Unifying Cause 4. Military Supremacy 5. Rampant Sexism 6. Controlled Media 7. Obsession with National Security 8. Religion/Government are Intertwined 9. Corporate Power Protected 10. Labor Power Suppressed 11. Disdain for Intellectuals and the Arts 12. Obsession w/ Crime & Punishment 13. Rampant Cronyism/Corruption 14. Election Fraud

  • The best definition I heard of fascism is what Jerry Doyle said, that it consists of the "4 P's of production"

It's fascism if the government controls all these P's of a company:

    Persons (working there)

Product (made there, and how much)

Profit margin (what people earn, and to that extent what they can use company assets for)

    Price (of product)

Fascism is actually leftist in that it is big government (just like socialism) but is JUST right of socialism in that it doesn't nationalize business

  • Fascism is to the far right, actually.

  • Based on what? I too once never questioned that claim back in public school, but leftism is defined by the further increase of a government's size and it's bureaucratic subsidies, while right-wing is to it's shrinkage. Ever notice how right-wingers always want SMALLER government?

Anarchy, even in it's unsustainability in perpetuity, is true right-wing extremism.

  • great comment ...

  • "right-wingers" do not always want smaller government: they too want government strength in certain instances. I point to advocacy of a dominant military as an example: the thought of 'strong-rule-of-law' may also be alluring to some conservatives as well. However, I do not place fascism adjacent to conservatism, rather it stands to the far right as reactionary.

One need look only to Nazi Germany as an example of fascism: a regime that certainly did not embody "socialist" or liberal ideals.

  • You mean like the McCain acolytes? McCain is socialist lite.

And a strong military is advocated only with the proviso that it not violate posse comitatus AND the fact that a military is one of the original functions a government is required to provide for national defense.

However, our current admin isn't confident that our military will follow unconstitutional orders to persecute Americans. That's why they're planning a nuke for the Pittsburg G20 next month, so that outraged nations will invade

  • the extreme nationalism of both parties meet each other in tyranny ..

end result a homogenized society ..

    loss of individualism...

  • We're on the same wavelength, tmot!

I keep telling those socialists that there is NO SUCH THING as compulsory charity. I usually just get a blank stare, or (in the case of typing) simply no reply...

  • in 1960 CEO's made 40x the amount of frontline workers.......in 2007 CEO's made 450x the amount of a frontline worker...........Ain't America great?

  • Damn son and there you have it... the numbers never lie, so it is what it is....

We all know what time it is...

  • Tmot, Great videos. I find them very interesting. I don't always agree but I always commend you for making your own decision. We need ALL the men like you to stand up and speak their mind.

  • (part II)

In doing so, however, you fail to elucidate how liberals and conservative policies are infiltrated. The only allusion you offer with regard to either group is the eight year rule of the republic party via the presidency. Yet, I do not feel that you have made any particular point. For example, I can claim that any four year presidency, by your logic, is a communist regime. A claim, we both know, is unreasonable. I wish you had, and challenge you to, expound your persuasion via examples.

  • Whilst you were typing, I gave my response.

  • We need a phone conversation for this. I gave an overview under these assumptions:

    1. Listener would study the ideologies if not already familiar with them.

    2. Listener would look at various policies and compare them with these ideologies.

    3. Listener already has an understanding of how our Government is SUPPOSED to operate and then they could connect the dots on their own.

Nowhere in the Constitution does it provide for a Government ran HC System paid for through the Taxation of Citizens.

  • To introduce individuals to different ideological doctrines is commendable. However, your video's offer not only objective information, but you additionally level fault with certain "policies" or parties. The reason why I began to watch your video is to understand your particular viewpoint and how you maintain its validity.

    (side note)

Nowhere in the Constitution does it provide for privacy, the right to marriage or any number of supposed protections we citizens take for granted.

  • Newrounder, you beat me to the punch.

The Constitution doesn't provide for social security, public schools, medicare, or any myriad of programs. Yet, they do exist. In fact, if you want to take the Constitution in its purest form, the way the founding fathers intended it to be, then you would have to be male, white, and a landowner in order to vote. Additionally, if you were non-white, you were'nt considered a citizen. Clearly, the laws have been changed since then because they weren't perfect

  • Tmont,

    Where to begin...

    1) I understand that you are not in favor of companies which ship jobs overseas, but I seem to recall you lauding Walmart for offering prescription drugs at low rates in your previous video. However, Walmart is one of the largest proponents of manufacturing overseas as a method to reduce cost.

    2) You use extremely vague language when asserting socialist and communist values are "infiltrating" the policies of liberals and conservatives respectively. (cont.)

  • I can only give so much information in 10 minutes and I don't want to do 10 videos on Economics, Supply and Demand or Who pays what when it comes to the US Tax Burden. This is why I said take a course if you need to and research these terms and issues for yourself.

As far as Walmart goes, the drugs they sell at lower rates was to suggest that this is where we can start fixing HC along with Tort Reform, eliminating Preexisting exclusions, reduce regulations & allow portability to name a few.

  • Perhaps you could have elaborated on your specific complaints with regard to policy instead of spending the time to define socialism, communism and fascism?

I walk away from your video without my viewpoints being challenged. If I agree with your vague statements, then I find superficial affirmation. However, if I disagree, I have not been presented with any argument that encourages me to re-examine my perspective.

  • Its good you talk about a lot of issues that black ppl face.... But its refreshing you changed up ur swag with this topic...

  • Thank you.

I generally speak on issues like this were people come to actually gain insightful (churches) knowledge on the political scene in the US and abroad. You will see that most of the viewers of this video are White and because my audience is primarily Black, the view count on this video won't exceed 200.

Too many Blacks don't understand how much power there is knowing how to actually benefit from this type of knowledge because they are spoon feed checks and cheese from the Gov't.

  • Another problem that I see in society, is that the churches failing to do their job to help people, also. I used to volunteer at a Church of God (Clevelant, Tn). The Pastor decided to close the food pantry and to the use the money to build a Gymnasium for the youth. Needless, to say, I was quite disgusted. There is lots of politics going on in our mainline churches.

Thank you and yours for the prayer. I do not need surgery. I need to get off of my hindend and get myself back to good health.:)

  • Good for you. However, prayer does change things. I believe that AND action is what makes the difference. peace and be blessed always. Thanks for stopping by.

  • Great video TMOT!

    Some points however......

Yes, there are negative aspects of the systems you mentioned. However, you failed to mention the negative aspects of capitalism. All systems of government are corrupt in one aspect or another and arguments can certainly be made for the corruption in the current American system just as in any other system.

But, I don't think that the current health care bill can be demonized as "socialism" any more than a system of public schools can.

  • I pay taxes and yet, my tax dollars go toward educating people who "didn't earn it" as you say in your video. But, does that mean that its not good for the country to have a system of public k-12 education?

The same could be said for the WIC program, medicare, welfare, workers compensation, etc.

All of the above programs have definitely been good for the citizenry............even though there have been SOME abuses in each. So, why should health care for everyone be any different?

  • Now I know very few people that have an issue with taxes for Education which undoubtedly is the overwhelming will of the People. Notwithstanding, an educated people can be a more productive people.

But even our education system has faltered due to special interests of teachers unions, parents who don't parent and apathy filled teachers.

This is why my kids are in private schools, yet I still pay the taxes.

  • True.

But, unbeknownts to many, the idea of public schools as well as INTEGRATED public schools was not something that was in the original laws of this nation. Public education had to be fought for and, like health care, was not popular with everyone in the country at the time. However, over time, we've come to see it as a good thing.

As with education, a HEALTHY citizenry is also more productive and, in the future, when universal health care is the norm, we'll wonder why people fought it.

  • True, but we see the state of our Public Education System. Do you want that with Healthcare too?

I'm sorry friend, I pay for education 2 times already (Property taxes and private School Tuition).

I'll be paying twice with this plan if it goes through.

No Choice and Waiting in line for substandard care.

That is a Guarantee if the Gov't gets control of it.

  • Nobody approves of corruption in the public school system. But keep in mind, with that being said, the entire public school system in this country is not substandard and, still does a better job of educating its citizenry than if everyone had to pay for private education..................which is almost the situation we have with healthcare in the US.

  • It is indeed unfortunate that you pay twice for your childs education. But, that is your CHOICE. Just as if we had a public option for healthcare and you paid for private insurance

  • I understand that is my choice. But I made it.

As far as HC goes, Public option will undoubtedly lead to employers cancelling coverage and forcing employees onto the so called public no choice option.

My company has a $24 million deficit this year. We are cutting jobs, raising fares, charging for parking and cutting services.

    I'm even taking a 10 day furlough.

What do you think they would do if there was a public option?

They would drop coverage and keep their 60% in their pocket.

  • Or, the flip side of that would happen TMOT.

The insurance companies.....in order to compete with a public option........will have to LOWER their rates in order to keep the business of the corporations trying to dump them......................which is how "capitalism" is supposed to work, right?

    ;-)

Make no mistake, if the insurance companies lower their rates they'll still be making huge profits, which is essential to capitalism.

We can have both (public / private) and it not be "socialsim".

  • I think the problem with Capitalism which I thought I mentioned was that the corruptness of the ideologies of Communism ,Socialism and Fascism exacerbated Lobbyist is what has made Capitalism falter in the US of A.

  • Those in charge become corrupt means.

    Great power comes with responsibitliy.

  • Very good video. Just to compliment your points on the purpose of government and of the US government in particular, I'd suggest reading Thomas Paine's The Rights of Man and Common sense. One of his main points is that the purpose of society is to advance culture and prosperity and government is meant to protect against man's inherent nature. It's a fantastic and short read.

  • Both are great reads. Glenn beck also has a revised version of Common Sense. It's a great read as well!
