I'm sorry the club didn't come out and say this to the fans but when we built the emirates, you shoulda known we won't have the money, that we would have to rely on youth to build a new team and that inexperience and lack of funds will not be able to compete with chelsea millions. It is a success to still be in the champions league. There will be a time where l'pool and chelsea will falter because of a new stadium but those fans won't understand either.

He doesn't know a good defender from his elbow and even when they do sign a half decent one their style of play exposes the defence. It all looks pretty but as the saying goes it flatters to deceive. If Wenger was a winner he would have signed a defensive coach or at least given some consideration to that half of a football team. In saying that,he's good for the Premier League and its cool we have so many styles

@magestic99 Before 2005 George Graham's influence was still lingering around Arsenal. Wenger won his first title with Graham's defence. If I was an Arsenal fan I would want Graham and Wenger in tandem as they are both experts in one area of the game, but are lacking in the other. I don't want to criticise Wenger too much, as he is great for the league, but the soul has left the club and I really think the players lack spirit and belief.

The thing is the man is incredibly stubborn when it comes to altering his overall direction of the club. He states in the interview that he does not regret letting flamini go w/o buying an adequate replacement. I believe if you could ask him now, without a mic in his face or a camera rolling that he would have surely paid the extra 2 million for alonso from liverpool because his reliance on youth is in danger of qualifying us for the uefa cup next season.The whole "cut off your nose despite..."

With arsenal's resources and our success in the past it's disgraceful the position he's taken the team to, it's all his fault because of his overinflated ego. Somebody has to have the guts to tell him he's wrong sometimes and winning is more important than pretty football. If it wasn't for Wenger bringing in B, C class palyers and making them A class we would be a mid table team. He has made fans think we can compete, when we don't even have money. He doesn't pick pretty football over trophies he has proved that. All our success and resources are down to Wenger. He made Scallops out Tuna now everybody's on his back about winning trophies. We are now competing with the top flight team (AC, Inter, Man U, Chel, Barca, Real) and we don't ave half the funds they do.

You make some good points and I totally understand the budget constraints, but what I meant was that Wenger seems to think he can just pass his way around everyone and when that doesn't work he has no plan b. We have no spine and our center halves other than Djourou suck. Our number one priority should be to go get a big, physical, mean, borderline dirty holding midfielder like Lorik Cana or an imposing center half in the mold of Vidic.

Mourinho has won silverware every year that he's been a manager, and has won every trophy that his clubs could win; Mr. Peanut has never won the Champions League, and hasn't won a single thing in 5 yrs (and it will soon be six). He has started to believe too much in his "small budget" system (which is a misnomer) and has watched his team become eclipsed by the likes of Chelsea and Aston Villa.
