Our boys were fighting the Communists in Korea and Joe McCarthy was fighting them at home. All I had to worry about was finishing breakfast in time for Captain Kangaroo.
Anyone remember that "Tom Terrific" was the nickname given New York mets pitcher Tom Seaver, who led the Mets to their miraculous win in the world Series in 1969? (they had never finished higher than 9th in their 9 years in the league - that year they split the leagues into two divisions, the mets defeated the Atlanta Braves to go on to defeat the Baltimore Orioles in the World Series). Funny how one uses the terms of one's time - can yhou imagine a sportswriter calling an athlete that now?
A pleasure and a privilge to see Tom, Manfred and Crabby after all these years Any possibility of getting one with Isotope Feeney? Thanks for sharing.

When I was being bad, my mom would call me "Crabby Appleton." Haven't thought about that in years.

I'm glad that"Tom Terrific"used his magical powers to force that mean old fink"Crabby Appleton"to return those calender dates back to the kids.
