  • that is SO cute! I love how he plays with the kids.

  • When it gets a few years old. BOOM the sound of my 308 in it front right shoulder. Cripold it try to scoot away on it nose when I walk over and slit it throte. It would make a nice mount

  • @AxRbuck I get the last laugh on this one. I heard he was taken. What the asshole didn't know is that I gave him medications a few times to control parasites. The Federal label clearly stated that it is not to be used on animals for human consumption. I hope that asshole became sick as shit! A few respectable people heard the bell on him and left him alone.

  • Pretty fawn

  • what ever happened to this fawn?

  • @FIORE334 I assume a hunter shot him several months after this video was taken.

  • I love how he runs with the children!

  • LOL @ the ONE dislike.

  • Lol it's wearing a collar

  • Love you bambi <3

  • That fawn is very fast.

  • Good bless you for taking care of this baby : )

  • I would have named it dinner. But that's just me

  • t5hat is so cool.I love seeing wild animals being friendly

  • your are retared i was never in the aRMY IM ONLY 15 . RETARD.

  • @12ArmyStar

    your a douchebag

  • Nice !! Thanks for sharing..

  • the only bad thing about a deer as a pet is someone could shoot it by acident

  • yo mega ur giving us hunters a bad name wtf

  • that is just adorable <3

  • @MegaChubbyboy You need help

  • wow...i have never seen a fawn that tame :)

  • that fawn just broke Usain bolt's world record :)

  • What kind of milk replacer did you raise him on? Did he make it to adulthood? If you ever end up raising a fawn again, see if there is anyone in your area with dairy goats. Raw goat milk is the best thing to raise these little guys on ^_^

  • @Spork09 I went to the local feed store and bought two bags of all species milk replacer. It was much cheaper than goats milk although I agree it would've been better. He found us in May and the last we saw of him was later November. He had lost his spots by then.

  • Nice property. It must be nice living so close to nature. I saw a live deer only once, and only this very summer.

  • A deer named Bambi...how original. =P

  • @resachu1 What would you expect young kids to call a fawn? Dave? :+P

  • @cowman1970

No...I was thinking more along the lines of Bob Saget. :]

  • @cowman1970 LOL

  • you arent supposed to pet Fawns. The mama deer wont take it back if your scent is on it.. you just killed that deer.

  • @ball4life850 Read the description and the comments.

  • @cowman1970 =O, My bad. I didn't read the description. I used to feed deer apples and they would just walk up to me. And i could pet them.

  • @cowman1970 i hope you know that you are commiting a federal crime and the fine is 5 years in came. i hope you know that the mom will kill it. And i hope you also know that if you just take a deer from the woods that its mom was near by. it not like the mom is just going to ride its ASS all year long until it is older.? wtf fuck the deers life

  • @12ArmyStar Awwwww cry me a river poor baby. Look at the year this was taken and read the description very very carefully. He was never contained or confined for that matter. Next time get the facts before you flame.

  • @12ArmyStar omg what a mouth on you. despicable and shameless. didn't your mother teach you any manners? didn't they teach you to be respectful in the army? so its a crime to help out a fawn but its ok to kill a deer. whatever. i'm glad these people helped out the little fawn. you big potty mouth.

  • @ball4life850 that's birds dumb dumb, deer fawns are not scent based, the fawns follow the mother's scent, not the other way around...jeez

  • @ADD8oi pretty sure you are wrong silly goose. You are supposed to wear gloves while touching a fawn so you don't risk having your scent on the fawn.

  • @ball4life850 nope, doe's dont scent their fawns, its the other way around

  • @ADD8oi :o okey dokey.

  • is it still living with you now?

  • so adorable:) thank you to care of him:)

  • All you haters out there GO FUCK YOURSELFS you burger eating hypocrites!

  • He seems that he likes beeing close to you mostly. You are the one that feeds him I suppose?

  • @denmasxe Yes, I pretty much took care of him.

  • Did you put the collar on the deer, or did you find him that way?

How do you know if he was shot? (I ask because....it takes a real piece of sh*t to shoot a fawn, or at least, a deer that is clearly semi-tame. If it wasn't tame, why would it have a color on it?)

  • This is someone's pet, he is so tame and has a collar. Didn't you check around neighbourhood for the owner..? A cutie like that shouldn't be left alone, dogs could chase her, or evil humans would barbacue her!

  • Deer are so cute. I can't believe that Chloe screamed near Bambi's ears. Deer must be petted nicely.

  • i'll change my statement a little.... if you don't live in convential, walmart-a-few-blocks-away society, and you are, say, native american and live on your own land and you are going to bless the animal, approach it gently, use every single part of that animal to survive, then that is a dignified, natural thing. It is still sad, but any other variation of hunting is an act of senseless murder. Just because animals can't speak for themselves, why does that make them second-class citizens?

  • Hunting isn't always bad when it is done the right way. I know far too many people that will shoot just about anything simply because they can. Anything from wild game to "stray" cats and dogs. That really really disgusts me to no end. I tried hunting when I was a kid because that was a rite of passage and didn't like it one bit. I like fishing better because I can always throw fish back into the water.

  • @sailorbbydo screw u fag. go do ur makeup sissy

  • @AtvingGuitarGuy Just because gay men put make up on doesn't mean they can't kick your ass. Homophobic cunt.

  • how is bambi? he must be full grown now right?

  • DEER SAUSAGE!!!

  • How cute!

  • Why do you have a collar on it? If it goes in the woods and does not come back that's a pain full death.

  • The collar was the type the pulls off rather easily.

  • im going to kidnap one and disguise it with a dog costume! so no one will suspect a thing

  • how amazing

  • lucky, what amazing experiance they're so cute!

  • i enjoy hunting but i hunt 4 the meat not the horns (antlers) or the sport. if i kill it i eat it. (except 4 coyotes which r scavengers)

  • That be nice to own a deer, especially this kind of deer. Get it when it is a fawn, play with it, run with it and care for it. I can play with it all day during my days off at work or something. DO some a lot of running.lol When i get a big place, I am planning to own a deer. (not really sure which kind) I read that deers are really good pets. But, if i own one and when he gets to an old adult, i will let him free, unless he chooses to stay. But this vid. is inspiring. thanks

  • you said that you would want to legally keep the fawn. if you do or did don't you dare fence the animal up, he/she might stay, but they should have the freedom to come and go, if he/she really likes yall theyll stay.

  • You don't get it do you? You obviously don't understand the nature of animals or the laws regarding animals. I wasn't legally able to keep him so he "came and went as he pleased." He obiviously went onto public grounds and was shot as a result. As with any pet, you are legally obligated to keep them under control whether it be dogs, cats, goats, deer, or whatever.

  • BAMBI GOT SHOT???!!! Where was he when he got shot? Was the person who shot him know you were good "friends" with Bambi?

  • My family used to live next to a family that had 2 pet deer(not simultaniously), Shadow & Lightbuck. Like most pet deer, they were fading glories. Wild game that lose their fear of Man will walk right into a hunter's gunsights.

  • We have several huge bucks that come out in the morning and early afternoon to eat apples that fall off my 4 trees. It is nice to watch them. I'm not totally against controlled hunting, however, it really bothers me when hunters kill just about anything just because they enjoy killing.

  • maybe he will grow up to be dinner?

  • I think that already happened. I however get the last laugh. I gave him a few treatments for external parasites which was "NOT TO BE USED" in animals intended for food. I hope that whomever it was is rreeaall proud of themselves.

  • id rather consume venision any day over beef.....if it werent for the milk they produce id say send the cattle back over seas

  • ya me too. Well White Tail anyway. I havnt had any other kind yet. I only hunt white Tail deer because thats all there is here in kansas( as far as i know).i heard mule deer is not very good tho

  • Not anymore, Deer and other related species have been coming down with chronic wasting disease which is similar to Mad Cow. People have died from this. It's quite creepy.

  • Did you do your research?Do you know how many cattle died due to diseases, madcow, parasites, and other "non" natural causes?.......compare that number to deer and comment back....your will be shocked at the results!

  • Yeah, I've done it. Several states have had numerous deer slaughters over the disease. With cows and other farm animals we can easily pinpoint the cause of the problem. With wild game we have no idea where the disease comes from.

  • "While the possibility of human infection remains a concern, it is important to note there have been no verified cases of humans contracting CWD. "

    -Chronic Wasting Disease Alliance

  • There was a video on yahoo a few years ago the covered a BSE type story out West where 6 people died from a degenerative brain disorder. The only common link was the wild game they ate. The morticians where even afraid to touch the bodies. I never heard if it was verified or not.

  • That is so nice! Nice yard too! Lots of space for the kids.

  • lol cute ive add a few fawns come into my yard and play... and had one that never left and now hangs with my horses and cows lol i like that it chased ur kids lol just like a dog

  • Almost hit a little deer like that the other day. Slammed on my brakes and it was probably a foot away from my bumper. Scared the crap out of me. I probably scared the crap out of it also, lol.

Anyways, crazy video. Never seen anyone pet a deer before. Well, at least not a live one.

  • very original name

  • I really hope that you took the collar around its neck off, As it grows the collar will get too tight, and possible harm the little thing.

  • Please, please do not collar wildlife! In my work as a wildlife rehab volunteer, I have seen wild "pets" dead from a collar getting caught on a branch, and I have cut collars off that were embedded in other animals' necks. Infection, maggots, agony -- not a pretty site.

  • classic name lol

  • His mother was probably killed. Cute little critter. Glad your kids got to pet him/her. I hope the little guy/gal is ok. Thanks for posting.

  • Wow that is so sweet, the children look like they are having so much fun, my son is two, we took him to the safari park when he was 18 months old and his face everytime he saw an animal was just so adorable, was a mix of emotions, really excited and curious. I loved your vid :)

  • Thanks, we had a lot of fun with him. I posted a slide show video of him.

  • did you put the collar on him? if so, did you keep one on him as he matured? i thought that was the universal sign he was a "pet" or in better terms would not run away from a human and therefore unethical to hunt. Don't you just love asshole neighbors that cut down all that timber? Got one here myself!

  • He had a collar on him the last time we had seen him. He was shy around those he didn't know. Most hunters I know are unethical. They shoot first and ask questions later. Similar to the South Park episode "Volcano."

  • Do you still have him?

  • No, he is gone :(

  • No, because the asshole neighbors had to log 10 acres of ground below me separating him from his mother. He was starving and dehydrated when we found him. I have never ever seen a fawn wander around in the open let alone approach a dog. Wasn't my damned fault!

  • Aww that is beautiful

  • Adorable!

  • Oh, he is so cute!

    Where is he now?

    Do you still have him?

  • No he is gone :(

I have a slide show video posted here of him also.

  • how big is he now?? is he full grown now?? do you still keep him??

btw thats so cool to have found him and calling him bambie so cute

  • how cliche. always named bambi.

    id name him chuck.

  • What did you expect the kids to call him?

  • how did you train him?

  • dosent he poop all over the house?

  • Not too much. He was partially trained.

  • Aw! How cute!

  • Unfortunately many fawns that are found are thought abandonded and picked up. Fawns are predispositioned to hide as they do not run well yet. They are well camoed and predators can't smell them as have no scent until older. Mamma deer has usually run off and will come back soon. Once a fawn is handled the doe will usually not accept it back. It's best to leave them alone. Also, the fawn will lose it's fear of humans and become an easy target for hunters. Good intentions gone bad.

  • Where I'm at the Doe leaves them in the alfalfa fields and the poor things get caught in the haybine and ripped to shreds. The one we had was pratically at my front door. He was really dehydrated. The loggers had him flushed out.

  • So how big is the deer now? Do you still have it?

  • No, he disappeared during the second week of deer season in 2007. Others said they did see him since then. Not sure if that's true.

  • your kids gonna scare the poor thing hahah

  • Lovely..

I just happened to had a little Water Deer which I guess about one month or less.

My parents went to mountain to mow grass and found this little one.. must the mom went away with other babies cause my father was doing that by machine so they got scared..

So then I started to raise that little one but I could see deer's tear..I couldn't stand that anymore..so gave back to original place where we found..just after four days later..

It just remainds me of that memory..

  • Cool video.

  • I LOVE Pop Tarts. Will you adopt me? :)

  • oh this is so cute

i never seen a deer do that befor

    sweet video

  • In 2003 I saw a boy and his dog playing with a doe with a nerf football..The Dog chased the Doe and The doe chased the dog and the deer actually was playing with the nerf stomping on it and kicking it....I couldnt believe my eyes..I asked the boy is that his pet deer and he said it wandered in his yard as a fawn and he fed it and it visited him ever since..That fall a bow hunter shot that doe and broke that kids heart..

  • HUNTERS ARE FUCKTARDS lol i just like saying thaat but really they are they should go burn in hell

  • There will be hell to pay for the deer population here in Pa if any are found to have the chronic wasting disease which is similar to mad cow disease.

  • I think a massive kill has happened already in Michigan.

  • I think I've heard about that, I go to Michigan State (zoology). I heard in a couple of my classes that there has been an outbreak of chronic wasting disease, or something like that. By the way, I think it's great that you can adopt a deer as a pet and still see the importance of hunting. A lot of people (see above and below) can only see poor Bambi, but I'm sure many of them would prefer humane euthenasia to starving to death. It's hard to appreciate the "one for many" approach these days.

  • The government should install a quota to hunt you and your neighborhood as well, sicko.

  • Fuck you! I'm a hunter. It's my right to hunt. I will say that I wouldn't shoot a deer wearing a collar though. It's obviously someone's pet. I'd be to afraid it belonged to some kid, and I wouldn't want to hurt the poor kids feelings. I'd seriously have to let a collared deer pass my stand.

  • Naaw, soo cute!

  • whear do u get a pet deer i want one soooooooooooooooo bad and u shouldent reliece a tamed deer into the wild theay wont know how to survive coust all there meals r handed 2 them

  • thats adorable but I bet it's gonna go run up to some jackass and that jackass is not gonna be so nice and he's gonna end up as dinner :(

  • If he did then I feel sorry for the creep that eats him. He was extra medicated for external parasites.

  • aww i want one!!

  • it gets stock in the bigning.

  • ....dude.......

  • sooo cute...

  • were did u get a pet deer!! i want 1

  • Deer that used to people shouldn't be released into the wild. It may be their home, but once they're accustomed to us it's too dangerous for them and people.

  • Have you seen him since hunting season started? I'm so worried for his safety out there.

  • I think that I may have seen him a day after the season was over but I can't be sure. Rumor has it that he was shot. Yet, that can't be proven either. I had him on meds for parasite control so if he was shot and somebody ate him then they get what they deserved. He was clearly marked not to be touched. A blind man could've seen that.

  • God me too. Hopefully the hunters don't hunt fawns. Murders :(

  • An ethical hunter will not hunt a fawn!!!! I never would!!!!

  • that is tooooo cute! i love how he chases the girl...just like a puppy : )

  • I love the deer and I love that you're taking care of it. I think Bambi really likes you guys!!!

  • Deer season starts tomorrow for two weeks. I hope he can survive.....

  • I like this.The fawns so gentle=)

  • Where is this at???

  • it's a cute one , but why does it wear necklace ?? i mean , do you use it as a pet ? :/ if you have it as a pet i think that it's really poor about him/her, i mean not to sound mean but wild animals can't be

    treat like pets..

  • The collar has a bell on it so we can hear him when he wants to come in or wants fed. He has lost his spots about two months ago and only shows up at the house during the evening.

  • deers my fav animal and so are horses pretty much anything on four legs is my fav

  • I Love Deers! =D

  • deers??? its deer singular and plural

  • but "deers" is so cute! like gooses, or mooses, or meeces... :)

  • to my knowledge, any game animal is considered to belong to any citizen in whatever state of the U.S. whether its on private land or not. Anyone can keep one if you're lucky to have one that friendly, plus hoping that it doesn't hop or cross your property line cause if does its considered to be fair game to hunters! to be safe, if you decide to keep it, put a collar around it! i hunt myself & I would never want to kill a tame friendly deer pet! Good Luck with your deer!

  • the law where I live, in PA, is that you are not allowed to pen\cage a wild animal without a license from the dept. of agriculture. since the fawn is not in a cage they should be ok. fawns will not travel too far away either so if they have a large portion of ground the fawn will be ok too. Lucky kids, cool video! :)

  • I like the deer more than the kid.

  • Little kids playing with a fawn, this is something really special. Not to mention super lucky.

  • I heard a good idea is to put a reflective collar on their necks. It'll keep the local hunters aware that he is a pet.

  • That is a great idea. Especially since he'll be very used to people and won't be wary of a**hole hunters. Best of luck with him!

  • Not all hunters are assholes!!! Only an asshole would assume that!!!! I wouldn't shoot a deer with a collar, and I'm a hunter.

  • @Bear54935 hmm next time you kill such a beautiful animal even though there is more than enough food to go around already, I would liek to see you kill that deer WITHOUT a gun or knife ect.

  • @Bear54935 I would wonder why the deer has a collar...... then drop the hammer on him.

  • @Bear54935 Especially a fawn. Not going to waste a tag on that :-)

  • @Bear54935 if i were one i wouldent shoot them at all...

  • cute deer, cute kids, they are all very lucky to live with a yard so big to run & play with a deer! bye byes ;)

  • He's going bye byes!! hehe... so cute. Man, I would have loved to have been able to run w/ a fawn as a kid. But we had dogs, so it was all good. :] Best f luck with Bambi! If you do decide to keep him I hope he doesn't turn out to be too aggressive as an adult.

  • They do get aggressive during the rut, but I really don't have to worry about it until the Summer/Fall of 2008. I really doubt that he will stick around till then. My biggest worry is all the hunters. My ground is posted but he is fair game if he wanders someplace he shouldn't. There are idiots out there that would kill a fawn.

  • hmm im kinda torn in 2 directions here. One part of me says cool and im pretty jelous that you get to hang out with that deer. but the other part says its a wild animal and should be treated as such,no names, no collars. hmmm dont know which way i would go if i were in you shoes.i do agree though I am a hunter and in the past i have filled my antlerless tags with yearling deer but im thinking i wouldnt shoot one with a collar.

  • Don't hunt period. Only worthless criminals hunt.
