  • just finished this show. amazing. thought it was actually way better than band of brothers which got sappy and kinda glorified the war. this show actually is actually honest in its portrayal of nonstop horror. some of the images.....ill never forget

  • band of brothers was great, but this is even better, trully incredible series

  • Far the trailer makes me want to watch the movie again. when i watched it like 100 times now.

  • @alickaboobs it's not a movie,it's a series lol

  • @aceofspades1844 hey when I go on to iTunes to find the pacific there is no series so were are you down loading yours from?

  • I haven't seen Band of Brothers yet, I really want to see it :c

  • @deidarasfangirl223

you must see it, it was amazing :D

  • good job marine. japs deserve every single bullet in their fucking heads.

  • @cboyty no.

  • @cboyty they were just fighting for there country. thats what everyone was doing. they dont REALY diserve anything.

  • @thecoadwordis no offense, but did your history textbook tell you what those japanese soliders did to POWs or other asians?? those are not "just fighting for their counties". they raped women and killed inncents without any orders.

  • For a second i thought the movie Passion of the Christ was about to start by the sound of the music :P. All seriousness, I totally didn't know this series was being aired but I'm going to get it and watch it because Band of Brothers was amazing.

  • 0:23 tom cruise or what lol. " here we go boys !"

  • lets play in youtube plz

  • @MrGTAdriver something with like dday (army point of view) or the italy campaign or even iraq or vietnam would b cool

  • USMC We Fight What Your Fear So get SOME BITCHESS

  • a country that forgets its history, is doomed in the future

  • god bless the usa and every single us marine

  • After Band of Brothers they Made the pacific. The two most amazing shows ever I wonder when they will make another 10 part mini series and what war?

  • I mean seriously, idiots, just shut the fuck up about BOB. If you like it so much better, go to a BOB channel. So fucking irritating how average idiots regurgitate the same fucking comments over and over.

  • I get so sick and tired of these morons coming on here saying, " BOB is better," or " the Pacific is not as good as BOB."

    SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!!!

No one cares what you like better. We have already heard the story of WW2 Europe 1000 times. Let the men who served in this theater get the attention and respect they deserve.

  • i hate how people back home treat vets like shit for what they do

  • Interesting Trivia: the majority of the Japanese soldiers are actually Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese and Korean. The producers and staff had a hard time trying to recruit Japanese actors to play the role. Many Japanese refused to be part of the series.

  • If it wasn't for The USA and Canada The Pacific and European theaters would have been lost,

    Respect to all veterans!

  • @awsomeking5

I'm not arguing with you about the Pacific theater, but clearly you haven't read about the Battle of Berlin or Battle of Stalingrad. The Russians sustained massive casualties, but they didn't need us to win in Europe.

  • @ST3V3NWith3sForEs Yeah, but the russians where attacking form 1 side, britain and the rest were attackking from the other (Dieppe, D-Day, etc...)

  • Do you wanna live? Get off the beach!

life is a tunnel with a light on the end...

  • if this shit doesnt touch you or make you cry, your soul must be torn as well

  • On every single video..JESUS CHRIST SHUT THE FUCK UP. I came here to hear your guys opinions on The Pacific and maybe compare it to BoB. But on EVERY trailer it's just ranting and ranting about HISTORY. It's over with! Gone! No what if's, not what should happened. What happened happened. Now stop ranting about WW2.

  • @AfroGangsta10 i like ww2 and i want to talk about it as much as i can (about the things that real happend of course) but if you don,t like ww2 why do you watch this ?

  • @DutchSoundz Please learn how to read. First off, no one should actually like WW2. You should like the history of it and such. Not the actual war. Secondly, I never said I "didn't like it". People are constantly just bickering about what could have happened. Or what should have happened. There not sharing ideas. They are arguing like little kids. No one wants to hear. The Tiger tanks would have won the war if more were produced or such. It's over with. I want to hear about the series.

  • @AfroGangsta10 sorry :P i do like the history of ww2 and yes those little kids are anoying, xD

  • @AfroGangsta10 Please don't compare this with Band of Brothers.... they are nothing alike.

  • @TheZimpiko28Project Why can't I? It's made by the same directors and producers. It's a sequel basically. AND YES THEY ARE ALIKE. The only thing that is different is that there are dozens of sex scenes. They don't connect to the characters as well as they do in BoB. It's the same type of series, of course people are going to compare it to BoB. What do you expect? Get over it.

  • @AfroGangsta10 Wow I made a simple statement and you had to be an ass hole about it. Fine. The reasons why you can't compare them.

    - the PTO was completely different from the ETO

    - Sure the directors and producers are mostly the same. Who gives a fuck? Big goddamn whoop.

    - This isn't focused on an entire company of men. It's about 3 guys who have separate stories.

    - This show focuses more on actual war and what it does to you, not brotherhood.

    Shall I go on?

  • @TheZimpiko28Project Actually, it's common sense to compare these two series since they were made BY THE SAME PEOPLE. "Big goddamn whoop"? Lol When the producer and director are the same, and it's the same type of movie, people are going to compare it. And Both are focused on war and what it does to you. It's just that BoB does show more brotherhood. Based on your "reasons", no movies can be compared.

  • @AfroGangsta10 You know it's funny the directors and producers even said it was "much different than band of brothers". And yes movies can be compared. What about sequels and prequels to movies? And don't say The Pacific is a sequel to Band of Brothers, because it's totally not. And by "what war does to you" I meant what it's like when you get back home. That's something that Band of Brothers didn't cover. You didn't even answer my question either you fuck." Shall I go on?" I have more reasons.

  • @TheZimpiko28Project When I said "compare" I didn't mean actually compare it like your doing idiot. You took me out of context. I said "and maybe compare it to BoB" as in which one do you like more. When sequels and trilogies come out, your saying they can't be compared? It's basically the same exact thing but with a different plot and place. Yes TP is not a sequel, but most people recognize it as one.

  • @AfroGangsta10 this called history.. our grandfathers told our fathers.. & our fathers told us.. & we'll tell our sons.. till the end of the world..

  • @sly8220 And is there anything wrong with that? No. What's going on here isn't "telling of history", it's "Well if Russia wasn't there than US and UK would have been destroyed" Or "without the Lend Lease UK would have been taken over". It's childish ranting about what could have happened.

  • @AfroGangsta10 what does ur comment mean exactly?

  • @MobileMMO It's a message to everyone to stop arguing about what could have happened. I'm always down with a little fun "what if" but these people are taking shots at eachtother. I just wanted to hear what everyone thought of the pacific and BoB, not about WW2

  • @AfroGangsta10 I suggest you read the book With The Old Breed at Peleliu and Okinawa. Tha pacific is built on the book. In my opinion The pacific is a better series and that is because With The Old Breed at Peleliu and Okinawa its written in a better and more detailed way than BOB. Life in the pacific is described as very good, This means that the details of the film its mutch better.

  • @AfroGangsta10 I suggest you read the book Band of Brothers, Its a good book and its built on BOB serie. Bob is a god series to,but i miss the details that the book contains, Because of the lack of details will BOB not reach all the way up on my scale.

You have to read the books to understand it. I recommend the book With The Old Breed at Peleliu and Okinawa, Its the best book i`ve ever read. But Band Of Brothers is a good book to,

  • @AfroGangsta10 An my last opinion is that The pacific goes into more depth to the various names before an after the war, This makes the series better than BOB. But offcourse, Its just my opinion.

  • @NorthernNorwayDigger If small details make your verdict then I feel bad for you. Really the only people I have talked to that liked the Pacific more was little kids cause they said it was easier to understand.

The pacific is more hollywood. Too much sex. Even my 82 year old dad who was in WW2 agreed.

BoB makes you care about the characters. The pacific only makes you care about Basilone.

  • @AfroGangsta10 Were afriacan americans allowed in the army at ww2 (except the pilots) or is your youtube name just bullshit like your opinions?

  • @dragoran Haha what are you talking about? I made this account years ago..and if your that immature to criticize my account name on the internet then you must be really desperate for insults..haha..

Anyway, yes the 92nd infantry division saw action in Italy. Others would be used for field artillery.

By the way, your misconception of me being black is hilarious. It just goes to show you how arrogant people are on the internet thinking they can make assumptions with no proof.

  • @dragoran African Americans were ground units too, not just pilots. They were in the European and Pacific front.

  • @AfroGangsta10 In my opinion, TP made you care about the characters more, simply because they focused on each of them more, while in BOB, I couldn't keep track because they switched character focus too quickly. Also, TP is nowhere near Hollywood. I don't know about your dad, but in both fronts, mostly Europe, there was a lot of sex, and actually the makers of both series say that there was more sex in TP because it was focusing on WW2 realism, while in BOB, it mostly focused on one Company.

  • @Trekiefreak777 I'm not neglecting the fact that there was a lot of sex during the war, it's just simply not needed multiple times. BoB did it right. One and done, the sex scene was brief and over and people got the message.

But in the pacific, i found myself just leaving the room when the 3rd or 4th sex scene came on. I wanted to watch an intense series about the most epic war, not a porno.

  • @AfroGangsta10 Oh, so you don't mind seeing people blown up and killed but too many sex scenes, that just is too much for you?

  • @worldslinger81 Well considering it's a WAR series, MOST People were watching it for the battle scenes. Not for the fake porn.

Battle scenes are enjoyable. Not many people enjoy the sex scenes. You think the people that were actually in the war, that this series was based off of, wanted sex to be a big part of it? no.

  • @Trekiefreak777 Read my first comment before this one:

Like I said, most critics agree that the characters were more developed in BoB. When they said "developed" they don't mean spending more time on.

I could honestly care less about TP char. Except for Basilone(B/C everyone knows him). Everyone else, just bland.

BoB went into depth with every character. And the side characters story, like the medic in Bastogne, is what pushes BoB over TP according to a lot of critics

  • @NorthernNorwayDigger Oh by the way meant to say "gran dad" not dad.

  • @AfroGangsta10 Personally, I liked BoB better, but the Pacific was a good series too. It's really hard to compare the two, since they show two entirely different situations.

  • @AfroGangsta10 BoB and the pacific are just both awesome:P I say watch em both:P

  • The USSR suffered the biggest losses both in terms of manpower and materials. The US contributed the financial power and significant manpower overseas that enabled the war to be fought on a worldwide scale. GB is a little trickier. We contributed less in real terms, but were the only ones that took a stand (with the empire) who were at war in late 1940 as well as stretching ourselves to the point of bankruptcy trying to fight all over the world as well as maintaining a democracy.

  • @iDropShot856 Every ally played a crucial role...so that means had the U.S. been uninvolved things would've ended up a lot different. The same goes for Russia.

  • Also I agree with moto whats the difference between a hole of dirt in the open and in a city their were foxholes in cities.

  • Deepest respect to all veterans.

  • Kids, war is war, regardless of where it's fought. You guys arguing PTO was worse because of foxholes or kamikazes are tards. Death at the hands of a crashing airplane is the same as death from a bullet. A mortar. etc. PTO was horrible, so was ETO. (Eastern front was the worse). But if you really want to argue things, at least get your facts straight, there no excuses when you obviously have internet connections......

  • The main character in this show, Robert Leckie. His son was my social studies teacher in 2011

  • Watch the FULL HD version @ movieshdnow. com

  • i'm hre to stop the comments war..i'm a keyboard warrior in blood and bones!

  • ITs the ending theme from Passion of the Christ by John Debney but I dont know the name of the song

  • anybody know the name of the song used in this?

  • @LeroyJenkins1988 It's called 'Resurrection', and it is composed by John Debney :-).

  • @DraebyRavnFilm Thanks man. I figured it out after I asked on here and I downloaded it right after.

  • what song?

  • band of brothers was much better but it was good too

  • @nickikz they're so different its kind of hard to compare the 2 only reason i like pacific a little better is because im fascinated by the pacific war

  • The best mini serise yet!!! then band of brothers then Generation kill :)

  • I love reading the stories people put in the comments about there life experiances of being in a war or in a military some make me cry.....God bless thos who are in the military.

  • Guys Tom hanks and steven Spielberg didn't make this for us to argue. They wanted to show us the brutality of war. And it doesn't even come close to the real expirience.

  • @Armydude5678 We all know the brutality of war....thats nothing new.....The series is a good history lesson for those not familiar with the island hopping campaign.... War bad...Fire Hot...yeah we got it....I suppose thats why we no longer fight wars...err....nevermind.

  • @MarkFFHH Sometimes wars have to be fought, Mark. Especially that war.

  • all you tube war posts are the same every video you find.. the " know it alls arguing" its nice this one actually has ppl putting the arguing down on the fools arguing about something they think they know everything about..YOU ARE BEHIND A KEYBOARD ON THE INTERNET WAKE UP SON

  • You guys are fucking retarded, sad cunts arguing over what was the bloodier theatre of war. JESUS

  • @Moowayable umm for one operation overlord was the invasion of normandy which WASNT just d-day, the airborne assault conducted BEFORE then was also part of operation overlord. And before you start insulting people try learning how to read or understanding what you read because i'm not arguing over what theatre is bloodier, I'm telling people who are arguing about it that it is a matter of opinion. JESUS your fucking retarded, a sad cunt coming in trying to sharp shoot with no bullets

  • @Moowayable well said... who gives a fuck which one is the bloodier theatre of war, people died there, like if that wasn't bad enough people argue about where was more brutal, casualties and blahblah yadda yadda yadda... get a life people!

  • @DocStrange0123 Exactly my point mate, cheers!

  • @Moowayable actually its been my point, i've been telling everyone that neither theatre is bloodier, that its all opinion, you just came in here acting the fool

  • YOU WANNA LIVE? GET OFF THE BEACH!

  • Why are you arguing? I'm just glad that the war ended.

    wich one is better?

    plz thumbs up

  • they should make a vietnam one next.

  • Hey guys, all the Allies went through hell and did their bit - the Americans , the British, the Canadians , the Aussies , kiwis . We all did it and are still doing it..

  • the australian sacrafice was a major thing. the kokoda track was intense for the aussies. please dont leave us out when you are talking about sacrafices i actually get offended

  • @LLDJ1997 - completey agree! Australian soldiers went through hell at Kokoda and we lost countless lives as a result. My father served with the ADF in Papua New Guinea in 1944-45 and never really recovered from his ordeal...he lost many good friends fighting the Japs.

  • @TheStork40 yeah my grandpa was at new guinea but not kokoda. i dont know much coz he died when my dad was 6 :(

  • @LLDJ1997 - I'm sorry to hear that about your Grandpa; I'm sure he did his country proud. My father served with the 25th Battalion and fought in places like Pearl Ridge on Bouganville Isl. He never really spoke much his experiences; we could see how much it really tore him up though.

  • @TheStork40 yeah if you have seen this show the last ep shows you how scared they were after the war. its so sad

  • The best trailer for this miniseries.

  • looks like a good movie

  • @pailo12345 its actually a mini series and its fantastic you should rent it out thats what i did now im going to buy the box set

  • Out of all the theaters in WWII, which were all extremely dificult, the Pacific Theatre was the toughtest because the japs believed in fighting until the last man dies

  • @Davis4037 saying which theatre of war was the toughest is all a matter of opinion, plus not like many fought in pacific AND european theatre so they cant even compare

  • 約翰巴西隆,我心中ㄉ英雄,I love you

  • yeah god bless those brave Nazis for killd those jews

  • @chechenets1

    Dude... you're fucked up.

  • @ILIYYILI your just saying that be coz your a jew

  • God bless these men - from a serving British Soldier..

  • It's a real shame the war had to happen, just wish I could have been there.

  • @renno103 i would not want to be there at all, it sounds selfish but i bet those brave marines didn't want to either

  • For the number of Death in WWII, Japanese killed Chinese more than Germans killed Jewish. It is horrible.

  • @iloveicecream3399 And the worst part is hardly anyone even knows how many Chinese died fighting for the West and how much we owe them.

  • @iloveicecream3399 Thats a good point. But you have to keep in mind the context. The Holocaust was seperate from the 'War', not to mention that it wasn't just Jews who were killed in it. The Chinese were actually engaged in war with Japan, so their 20 Million deaths is a seperate type of event than that of the Holocaust.

Good post though, not too many people know of what China went through.

  • If you add up the deaths of all the American,English,Italian and german you still would't get to the amount of Russian deaths. If that's not corageus then i don't know what is.

  • Enviroment wise- The Pacific Theatre - Jungle, malaria, poisonous creatures.

Enemy- The Pacific- An enemy that rarely surrenders, has been trained for a large portion of his life, and will do anything to kill you

POW wise- The Pacific- having the feeling that your imprisonment will surely lead to your slow death

Now i'm not saying that any battles in any theatre were less tough, or required less mental and physical focus. I'm just saying that these boys actual war (not battles) was.

  • @MH60KSOAR I don't think you know the difference between a battle and a war

  • @TravasaurusRex89 I don't think you know the difference between a dumb response and a dumb account name.

  • I rly think it's a shame they only depicted Iwo Jima as a 5-10 min part =/ The rest of it was it was amazing tho =)

  • to anybody that compares a movie like this to call of duty black ops or that crap. JUST SO YOU KNOW IT IS A WHOLE DIFFERENT TIME PERIOD!!!! the new call of duty's are a disgrace to the gaming world in my opinion so DO NOT make an argument over this.

  • @drew486 really have to bring call of duty to this to

  • @sirderek10 well of course! don't you know the Guidelines of being a Troll?!

  • The pacifac is the best

  • Let me explain my comment:

I don't see any Germans making kamikazes in their Messerschmitts, I don't see a German woman blowing herself up with a kid.

I mean okay, D-Day (Comment under me), that was one day, I'm talking about 'war'.

That's it, it was just harder.....

  • @legendsancheray so after they landed it was a walk in the park? dont compare the pacific campaign to the european camapaign. there were 185,924 american death in europe and 106,207 american deaths in the pacific. look this up yourself.

  • @jingq2 Noooo.... man..... nvm

  • @jingq2 dude you shouldn't have played into his game...casualties meant nothing in the two theaters..firstly, the Army was much larger so obviously more deaths and secondly they were both hell in two different incomparable waves and extremely difficult..in Europe you had a little more urban warfare in some areas in the cities, more area to cross, enemies more technologically advanced while in the Pacific it was hard to find the enemy, tough environment, fanatical warriors(most were) so you see?

  • @spazgecko "The army was larger so more deaths". That's a very simplistic way of looking at it. Not to mention the Army was very much in the Pacific, and lost more men than the USMC. But further, if we're to look simply at numbers of deaths in Europe vs Pacific, then you also have to consider that the numbers for Europe span 11 months...vs 4 years.

Both theaters were brutal, and both had their own 'cons'.

  • @legendsancheray germans did ram their planes into other allied planes

  • @legendsancheray The Pacific war really was horrific, but it no worse than the fighting on the eastern front in Russia and in Italy, in Stalingrad and San Pietro etc...They're totally different theatres of war though, almost impossible to compare.

  • @dmayres100 the russians were fucking morons they killed there own men you dumbass fuck them

  • @ImPureRockk You need to grow up and do some research before you make comments like that, insulting people for no reason...

Had Russia failed, mainland Europe would have fallen. Fact. For a country that lost 20 million people, you should be slightly more respectful.

  • @dmayres100 I agree with you people should be more respectful of the Russian sacrafice, it very well could have ended differently! Some of these ''diehard patriots'' think they are superior to everyone else and it makes them sound like Nazi's in some sense its like they look down on everyone else! They all think think that the American military will crush anyone and fair enough America have an exceptional military but dont underestimate your ememies they should know that from the war in Vietnam!

  • @Ghostface5051

No, actually, the Russians weren't that courageous at all. They only killed Germans because they had machine guns stuck up their asses by their superiors.

  • @LemurDeCatta haha sure you could say the same about any army man everyone has to follow orders the consequences for insubordination in the red army might have been worse then that of America but people still did get court marshelled for desertion in the American army and i believe even one person was executed. I strongly believe the Russians were very courageous, they killed Germans because they had invaded their country, its noy even called WW2 in Russia they call it the Great Patriotic War.

  • @LemurDeCatta yeah those guys your talking about weren't the regular soldiers, those were last minute drafted civilians they had to use for a last ditch effort. STILL you can't say they were all cowards.

  • @ImPureRockk You're wrong their dictator was the moron a fucking paranoid freak! you cant blame the Russian people for their governments idiotic actions,Stalin was fucking nuts but he ruled with an iron fist he wiped out his entire military command in the great purge because he though they were plotting against him! When Hitler launched Barbarossa in first russians the germans encountered went fucking Tonto! They were jumping for joy because they thought they were about to be liberated!

  • @ImPureRockk you should really look into your history. The Russians practically won the european theatre for us, we were holding off on D-Day until the Russians already had the German army routing towards Berlin

  • @TravasaurusRex89 The Russians definetely did the bulk, but had we (The US and Brits) not defeated the Nazis in Africa, then Italy and finally France, those forces would have been east. Not to mention the bulk of the Luftwaffe was west to counter our air.

The argument could be made both ways.

  • @moto19d Thats why i said practically, of course we never know what would've happened if they took on the Germans without any assistance.

  • @legendsancheray lol yhe nazis made something like it but they crashes into bombers d day lasted weeks german women have blown themselves up your probobly some dumb dude who plays cod a lot and knows nothing about war

  • @SuperSpotlight3 I dont like CoD..

  • @SuperSpotlight3 Actually I do know alot about war and no, I dont play CoD alot because I think the CoD-series pretty fucked up my interest in the last 2 years.

And well, sorry, I did not know that and I'll take back what I said about 'kamikazas' and thank you for sharing that info with me.

  • @legendsancheray FINALLY SOME ONE WHO ISN'T A DOUCHE! thanks for saying that about CoD

  • how do you know it was harder? were you in europe AND the pacific theatre? If not you can't even compare, you can't compare two things if you haven't tried both, especially if you haven't tried one

  • @TravasaurusRex89 also the pacific theatre was a bloodier campaign and that's a fact.

  • @MH60KSOAR yeah hows that a fact? Did someone go measure the blood spilled in all the theatres in liters and compare them or something? What do you even mean by bloodier? There were more deaths US deaths in the european theatre than the pacific theatre , the battle of the bulge had almost as many casualties as the entire pacific campaign. So please explain yourself. Again I'm not saying one was worse than the other, I'm saying its all opinion. NO FACTS involved in opinion

  • @TravasaurusRex89 the battles in the pacific were short and brutal. Considering it was mostly island hopping more men, and the Marines were facing a brutal enemy more men died in a small area than in the pacific. The battles were short and Tarawa was the bloodiest battle of the war for the Americans, which resulted in 1,687 american deaths in three days.

  • @MH60KSOAR like i said opinion, nothing in there means pacific was bloodier than european. Some many think operation overlord, market garden, d-day, battle of the bulge are worse than that. Some may say that the fact that americans can simply not invade an island full of japs and just move on to more important ones means pacific wasnt that bad, all opinion. you give me nothing but that

  • Comment removed

  • @MH60KSOAR Do your homework kid. 2400 Americans died on day 1 of D-Day (4400 Allied casualties total). The Bulge was the bloodiest of the war, 19000 Americans killed in a month.

    Your 'facts' are way off.

  • @moto19d lol, Bulge wasn't the bloodiest. Why don't you do your homework kid. Ever hear of Tarawa Atoll? Didn't think so. 2000 Americans killed in 3 days. The Battle of the Bulge lasted 44 days and 19000 KIA. Now i'll let you do the math. If you have difficulties let me know.

  • @MH60KSOAR Yes I know of Tarawa, every Marine does. But here's a hint, if you're gonna throw the term 'math' into your comment, let someone subtract 2000 from 19,000 for you....still have 17,000 to go. If you are simply referring to Tarawa in terms of shortness of the conflict, the allies suffered over 4K dead on D-Day alone, including over 2K US GI's.

Cool screen name though. I hope someday we can all name ourselves after something we have nothing to do with, and fail basic math in chatrooms

  • @moto19d Well seeing as your only competent to solve simple math, let me do it for you. 2000/3 = 666.6

19,000/44 = 431.8, now if we divide 666.6 by 431.8 we get a ratio of 1.54. Also you have to take into consideration on the size of the battlefield and how many men were involved. Tarawa is only the size of 3 football fields. Plus the actual amount of allied losses on D-Day was 2,500, and considering how many men involved and how large the battlefield was, Tarawa still beats D-Day.

  • @MH60KSOAR So you're basing this all off of ratio? How big was Omaha beach? Just Omaha, not Normandy? Just over two thousand died day one at Omaha (not including Utah, nor the other two beaches). I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the number landed at both beaches was about the same.

And here's a fun fact, more Marines drowned at Tarawa than were KIA by fire. Feel free to look it up.

  • @MH60KSOAR Also, your numbers are wrong. Just under 1000 Marines were killed at Tarawa, not 2000. If you are including Navy losses, which involved fleet actions not tied to the landings, then you have to include however many allied airmen died in the days leading up to D Day (12K in May 1944). And if anything, maybe do the overall casualty figures, not just deaths.

  • @moto19d Don't forget to look into the eastern front of the european theatre, I'm pretty sure there are countless more battles there that were worse than the battle of the bulge.

  • @TravasaurusRex89 Very true. The eastern front was historic, and no other conflict short of nuclear/biological will ever surpass it.

  • @TravasaurusRex89 lol ok heres where ur wrong in the pacific war the us total deaths were 106,207 killed

battle of the bulge was 19,00. Yes there were more deaths in the eurpoean war but thats because the army was there and they sitting at about 1 million active duty. The eorpean theater was hard war but u have to understan that 90% was tank warfare and the other was city warfare compare to japan surprise ambush attcks and hiding and waiting for marines in fox holes and bunkers

  • @iDropShot856 Oh ok I meant casualties, but regardless which theater was bloodier is STILL a matter of opinion

  • @iDropShot856 The stupid argument of 'The Army was bigger so of course more casualties' is ridiculous. As far as everything else you wrote, about japanese foxholes, did the Germans not dig in? Because most defending armies do that. And acting like tank warfare is 'no big deal'. That's one of the dumber things I've ever heard someone say on here (congrats). The Navy lost 30K men in the PTO. In ships..isn't that like tanks? Thats more than the USMC lost on land..And the Bulge was 19K, not 1900

  • @legendsancheray You're correct in mentioning Kamikazes and suicidal people. But your entire comment is dumb as shit. Firstly, claiming D-Day was '1 day'. Then acting as if that was the only event of the Europe theater. The Army lost more men in the month of Bastogne than the USMC did in 4 years of island hopping.

    Pick up a book sometime.
