I got my PSone in 2001 and it still runs fine. I got my PS2 in 2005 and it still runs fine. I got my PS3 in 2009 and it runs perfectly. Sony builds things to last! I still want an Atari 2600 though.

I had a 2600 JR and a stack of games. Two things I do recall, 1st the machine and the games were very expensive (I often had to buy 2nd hand) and most of the games were repetitive and TOUGH !

No saves, no extra lives, no memory cards to store position or data

I wonder how many of todays gamers would cope

This is a tough battle and the PS2 barely wins, seriously, I'm 20 and I can say that, the PS2 has much better games and have a more complex but easy-to-use controller. However, Atart 2600 was the first successful home video game console, so I have to give them credit for that, and the games were incredible back then, but suck now due to the expectations of little 12 year old kids who'd rather play Call of Duty instead of PAC-MAN or DIG-DUG.

The 5200 version is out of the question, as it wasn't the game that was the problem, but the system and controller themselves. By the way, I'm 14, I collect retro games, and CoD is over-rated In my opinion.
