  • I just used my Monarchs in the rain yesterday with no worries. I found 2 Bald Eagles, a Peregrine Falcon, a Saw Whet Owl, and a bunch of Blue Herons. They're usually my loaner pair while I'm using my EDG's, but now they're also my bad weather pair. I reccomend them to anyone who wants to get into birding. Great bins! Just ordered some 7x50 Action EX ATB's too for some twilight owling. So I guess you could say I'm a Nikon guy, lol.

  • I'd go for Pentax DCF ED. Slightly more expensive, but it has ED glass, which is the highest rate bino you can get.

  • @dvamateur What do you mean "ED" is the "highest rate bino you can get?" Every company says they have some type or other of unique glass and coatings. The pentax are great bins, but your logic here holds no water whatsoever. Also, they're definitely not the best glass you can get. The leica, zeiss, swarovski don't use the same glass as the pentax, and they're certainly brighter and sharper

  • @andysj531 Well, the Leica, Zeiss, and Swarovski may be okay, but I am more of a Fujinon/Pentax guy. Sorry...

  • how do you be so confident, nice, kind, smart person like you guys on this video?

How do you like Eagle View ? I have two of them, but now I think I like these Monarch ATB better.

  • @urkingod Eagle View is a great binocular too. With Monarch X you will get more field of view and light gathering capabilities though.

  • It's not what it looks like on the outside--it's what's inside that counts. The Nikon Monarch X is a great choice for birders who are looking for quality at a price that they can afford in this tough economy. It's packed full of great features including dielectric high-reflective multilayer prism coatings, rubber armoring and long eye relief.

  • The Monarch X also weighs in at less than 26 ounces and is fully waterproof and fogproof. Add Nikons No-Fault Policy and 25-Year Limited Warranty and this binocular is tough to beat at any price. Give it a try and judge it for yourself.

  • wow, nikon ripped off swarovski EL design and thumb imprints, along with the middle part being seperated lol

compare nikon x vs swarovski EL and youll see xD

  • @Michkuty Actually, nikon's like the 10th company to jump on the twin barrel bandwagon, and theirs look more different than all the other copies. Its true that swaro pioneered that design, but at this point, it's hardly a rip off. And every binocular has "thumb imprints."

  • What is the price in euros?

  • @kamranhaneef US price is about $599.95. Please visit nikon. com to find a price in your area.

  • those are the straps you should release with the SLR's!!!!
