HI there ive played bioshock on xp32 and vista32 and it was as smooth as silk but when i tried it on xp64 and vista64 it becomes abit laggy. does anyone have this problem to
these cards cost less than i paid for my 8800GTX's for SLI (approx. £450 each) and they more than double the peformance in SLI.. A bargain for the performance gains...
yes i agree the new gtx 280's are expected to be £400 with a 50% perfomance gain so thats brilliant from nvidia as i didnt expect them to charge more than the 9800gx2's.
In this case the person owns 2x9800GX2 so its obviously gonna be butter smooth. A very powerful rig in my opinion. Hes a lucky bloke cause not many people have that kind of bucks.:)
The main argument is can Crysis be maxed out with smooth frames with this card ??? the answer is nope. Because recent benchmarks by several game sites including users have shown alarmingly similar results between a single 9800GX2 and 2x8800 cards (45-55 fps). Yes that is smooth for crysis BUT people need more than 60fps for an amazing experience and the 9800GX2 lets it down. Its pricy and a waste of time if you are only behind it for Crysis. Other than that its an awesome card no doubt.
First of all my congratulations to the person who owns this rig. Its awesome. Now to the business end of the discussion, people with the 8800 family cards run COD4, Bioshock etc without any problems particularly the 8800GT, GTX, Ultra, GTS (512MB one) smoothly. In my case I get 80-100 frames in Bioshock with my GT maxed out. So it isn't a big deal running the game with a 9800GX2.
sweet gaming rig

what is the difference between the 32 and 64 bit operating systems?
THANX IN ADVANCE
ghabhg 3 years ago
64 bit will use more than 2gb of ram so it is faster for some games and a lot of aplications.
myles1292 3 years ago
if 64 bit is better then why dual boot 32 it?
