What if it is my first i-phone and I don't have any Apple products like an i-phone 4 which will act as my back-up or MacBook Pro that has i-Cloud. @sipyoanjo7003 It's "Cloud Based", meaning it functions with the aid of servers on the internet to translate and process the voice pattern.  Voice Control is handled entirely on the phone, and is therefore limited. Siri will work over WiFi or 3G, if you are not connected to the internet you will need to turn Siri off to use Voice Control.

@TheDudeman1999 iOS 5 works, but you can't get siri. siri is only with the iphone 4S. you may still use the Voice Control feature with your iphone 4

I hope to get this for Christmas! Im still rockin the 3GS and I wasn't impressed with the 4 so I waited. I wish the battery life was better but the more stuff they put in a phone the more battery it will use. Hopefully they will work on that in phones to come. I love my iPhone can't wait to get the new one! ;)

I love my new iPhone4S,  because Siri is very useful and sometimes pretty hilarious. Don't forget that you can tell Siri to "restart", which does a software reboot!! The screen will go black, and you will see that white swirling thing. It's not quite a true restart of the iPhone itself, but it is a genuine software reboot. To do this, you may have to try a few times until Siri actually does do the software respring/reboot.
