  • *you're* (you are) the other woman.

  • I never cried that much:((((((((((((((((((((

  • what ep & season is this ?

  • @smoshwatcher100 Raincoats and Recipes is called

  • @RomanYdOLLsMadeline so from what season?

  • @smoshwatcher100 Season 4 ,episode 22

  • @RomanYdOLLsMadeline thanx :P

  • what a scene. :,( a real tear jerker. oh, rory.

  • This scene always makes me wince. Ouch. Greats gods cool mom or not to have your mom catch you in the 'right after' oui cringe worthy.

  • I love lorelai's facial reaction when she saw Dean get out of Rory's room, she knew what was going on when he got out of her room.

  • My mom had me when she was 16 and now were close like Rory and Loerlie

  • Ohhhhh SHIT!!

  • am i the only one that liked dean + rory better than rory+jess ?

  • @taniafatbitch32 You are not the only one! :D

  • i miss this show!!

  • I'm sorry but i didn't think this was a bad thing yes dean cheated on his wife but Rory and dean were meant to be. But I do think the should of never married Lindsay if he knew he was still in love Rory he should of called off the wedding and told Rory how he felt and she felt the same and then they should of slept together

  • @teamdamon91girl Having a connection doesn't give anyone the right to cheat on their spouse. The fact that they got married in the first place shows some sort of commitment from BOTH parties. My opinion, of course.

  • @teamdamon91girl "should have" becomes *should've*, not 'should of' would have=would've, could have=could've

  • Lorelai: What did he borrow..?

    Me: HER VIRGINITY!

Haha i'm sorry, it's just as soon as I heard that line I automatically thought of that xD

  • I will never understand why Dean didn't just stay in Rory's room until Lorelai left.

  • I dont see how this is all Dean's fault I mean he didnt make her sleep with him. I mean give him a fucking break the guy made a mistake.

  • chris and sherry were on a break, they were not engaged and both loreli and chris had no idea sherry was pregnant... so rory what your mom did was not the same as what you did, you knew dean was married.. and just because he took the ring off doesnt make one bit of difference!

  • why did Dean have to come out of rory's room like that??? it was so obvious... he should have stayed in there, door closed..

  • I love Rory with Jess. Dean is just terrrible for her. I didn't mind her with Logan but he did really hurt her but so did Jess but Jess did get him self together by the end but Logan didn't. He didn't get what he wanted right when he wanted it so he left her.

  • The emotion in this scene is so expertly played by Lauren and Alexis. I'm mesmerized by their talents.

  • oh watching this when i was fifteen back then and said poor rory and now like 7 years later i realized Lorelai is kinda right.

  • Something about Dean disgusts me ...

  • @Mehlwurm18 Could it be the cheating on his wife? :P But yeah, there was something uber-skeevy about Dean cheating with Rory. He went from being a sweet if sometimes jealous boyfriend to That Guy, who married somebody else and then PINED for his ex the whole time, all the while hurting his wife (um, who really should have gotten a job if she was so damn desperate for the finer things in life) and treating her like crap for NOT BEING RORY. What a jerk he turned into!

  • I HATE Rory's character after this. Actually, I hated the way she treated Jess in the previous episode even more, but ohmygod. The writers made a huge mistake with this. Not only her sleeping with Dean, but her choosing him over Jess?! But she was being a brat here. &the thing that annoys me is that she doesn't even realize it's wrong until like after the summer. &Lorelai was so right, even tried to talk to Rory about it calmly, but Rory shoved her away. Rory deserves the worst at this point.

  • this is the point where she went on a downward spiral... cheating with dean, stealing yachts. should have chosen Jess!!!!! at least he got her back to yale logan didnt care..

  • Dean is hot, but i love Jess (cause he looks like Adam Levine) :P lol

  • I have to admit Jared is waaay more gorgeous than Milo could ever be. Especially in season 4 when he has the facial hair and THOSE DARN DIMPLES! Just sayin.

  • This scene was powerful in the sense that we finally see Rory in a different light. Granted, sleeping with a married man whose not your husband isn't the best idea. Naturally they're going to have their differences, but I have to side with Lorelai on this one. But this is one of the best scenes in the Gilmore Girls series in my opinion...

  • Okay, under what possible situation would "he took the ring off" make things better?

  • Dean is way better than Jess! :)

  • Dean is now Sam on supernatural and his brother is named Dean and Sam now is way more bad ass. This aint shit, oh wow he got Rory pussy, fuck that shit Sam got grade A quality Vagin in supernatural.

  • Lorelai was 200% right on this one

  • It is scenes like this that show what a spoiled brat rory is....

  • Comment removed

  • I loved Seaon 4 because Luke and Lorelia kissed but then Rory went and had sex with Dean.

  • thank god caller id wasnt around yet

  • Rory and Dean having sex just grosses me out, to be honest. Probably because I hate Rory's hair and dress and Dean drives me nuts because he's a tool. Just my opinion, though. :D

  • Did anyone else notice how ugly Dean looks? I don't know about you, but if were Rory, I would take the good-looking, well-read, unpredicatble, gelled-hair Jess over Dean...

High school Rory was the best. The college Rory made me want to cry.

Also, I hate season 4 with a passion.

  • @sockrokr2 Do you honestly think Jared is ugly or are you just saying that because you'd rather Rory be with Jess lol? Cos even though I like Jess over Dean, I still say that he is a very gorgeous guy lol

  • ok i agree with jessrules05 because both chris and sherrie were over and they ddint even know that she was pregnant

  • Rory is definately wrong thistime...

  • i dont see what the problem is, considering rory's age, she can do whatever she pleases. I get that dean is married and that is pretty bad but rory doesnt have to consult her mother in whatever she does it is her own choice.

  • @charlottecheesecake Considering Rory's age, she's a child. And sure, she doesn't have to consult her mother but considering how close they are, it would be a first instinct. Besides Lorelai is totally right in this argument, I usually don't side in their fights but this one... totally on Lorelai's side.

  • @charlottecheesecake considering rory's age she should know right from wrong and sleeping with a married guy is wrong! and loreli needed to give rory a reality check.. and the way rory acts in this scene she definitly doesnt seem her age at all! she's acting like such a brat!

  • Lorelai did the same with christopher except he wasn't married. She knew he was in a committed relationship with sherry living together, etc. Hypocrite..

  • @rmpr123456 wait, i thought they were broken up. oh wasn't it that he told her that they were taking a break and he was going to break up with her? either way i don't think she's a hypocrite

  • @candymandy224 they were stil together. He didnt break up with her he was planning to according to what he told to Lorelai. Basically she slept with a guy knowing that he was in a relationship so its basically the same.

  • Comment removed

  • I love lorelai in this scene, she manages to keep so calm, whereas Rory is such a bitch! x

  • @MistYouMadly totally agree

  • I don't know why this scene bothers people so much...

  • What episode/season is this?

  • season 4 episode 22

  • whats for a season?

  • lorelei's a good mom

  • Im totally on Lorelai's side with this one... Rory is so annoying in this scene

  • wow, rory isnt acting like rory at all in this scene.

but when she walks outside who did she call?

  • It sounds like she tried to call Dean's house, but his wife answered the phone.

  • she called deans house and linday picks up the phone

  • @xxTIFFANYYxx Dean but Lindsay answers.

  • lorelei is so cool

  • Rory doesn't deserve Dean or Jess, or anyone with the slightest amount of decency in them. Why did she change?

  • i know. with a mom like that you would think you would be humble and cool. but no shes a brat, she always goes to her grandpa for everything. its understandable, i dont hate rory, but i am constantly disappointed by her

  • @waln492 I defintely agree!! I love loreali and wish that rory could sometimes see that she isn't always right.

  • ok I've just recently started watching Gilmore Girls and I'm only up to season 2 but does Rory really change that much after the third season? I mean yeah it was wrong to sleep with Dean but everyone is entitled to make mistakes. I'm not saying you all are wrong I'm just curious.

  • How can Rory equate Lorelai sleeping with Chris to her sleeping with Dean?! She says Chris and Sherry were engaged and Sherry was pregnant: they were taking a break, neither Chris nor Lorelai knew she was pregnant and Chris and Sherry got engaged after Lorelai slept with him, as a result of her being pregnant. Sorry, haha, rant over. That part just kinda bugs me...

    I really miss Season 1/2/3 Rory :(

And how could anyone ever choose Dean over Jess?! Come on!

  • @jessrules05 Engaged = committed relationship.

  • @sneakiebug09 Yes, but they weren't engaged or in a committed relationship at that point, they had practically broken up, if they hadn't Lorelai would never have slept with him (or so I'd like to believe). It was only AFTER Lorelai had slept with him that Chris is told that Sherry is pregnant then, once he'd gone back to her, they became engaged (and we don't even know how long it was between him going back to her and them getting engaged). If you're arguing that they must have been in a serious

  • @jessrules05 he was married when that happened wasn't he?

  • @VampireGirl726 Christopher? Nope, him and Sherry weren't married or engaged, they weren't even together, they were taking a break.

  • @sneakiebug09 (cont. my other post - sorry if there were multiple posts of that one, I was on a different browser than I was used to and don't know if it managed to post)

relationship in order to have become engaged at the beginning of Series 3, then I disagree, because Chris made it pretty clear that he was only going back to her because she was pregnant, and they weren't already engaged, they were on a break.

  • @jessrules05 (realizing it's an old post).Disagreeing with the Dean vs. Jess question (:-)), I think you put the the Rory Season 1~3 vs the later years correctly. I felt that this was the start of Rory being more of an adult making faulty choices, entering a 'realm' that can't be protected by Lorelai. Unfortunate that it had to be losing her virginity and entering a sexual relation with an ex, but then again, I guess there wouldn't be any greater way to 'mark' the start of that sequence.

  • @jessrules05 Well I think your right.

But i would choose Dean over Jess,

  • @jessrules05 why would anyone choose jess over dean?! jess treated her horribly and never did one nice thing for her while they were together and never did something she wanted him to do or would sulk when he did and never told her what was going on with him, he wasnt dependable and then just abandoned her. dean however did nothing but love her even when she treated him horribly to chase after jess and he only married lindsay because he couldnt have rory. rory and dean shoulda ended up together!

  • @klarebear721 Well, putting aside the physical side that Jess is way more attractive than Dean. let's have a look. Firstly, Rory would never have ended up with someone who didn't share her interests in books, music, movies etc because that just makes up too much of a part of who she is so, while Dean was a good first boyfriend, he was never gonna be endgame; no matter whether Rory ended up with Jess, Logan, Marty, a new guy, or alone, it could never have been Dean.

  • @klarebear721 Secondly, Jess if just plain out more intelligent than Dean, so he and Rory were more like-minded, which is important in a relationship. There's also the fact that Jess/Rory had amazing chemistry while Dean/Rory had the chemistry of a dry plank, but that's physical again so I'll put that aside. Then, Jess always challenged Rory where Dean never really did, which was important, especially with his role in season 6.

  • @klarebear721 Last, while Jess was hardly a saint, he never did anything as plainly wrong or childish as marrying someone to get over someone else and then cheating on his WIFE. And after that, do we so redemption for Dean? No, we see him shout at Lindsay after having cheated on her, dump Rory in front of her friends and tell Luke that his relationship with Lorelai won't work (his last ever appearance). In contrast, Jess is almost completely redeemed for anything he did wrong by the end.

  • @jessrules05 Firstly, yes, i actually agree that fact of the matter was rory was too smart for dean and to be honest i actually like her best with logan. but jess is just such a jerk there with him the bad FAR outweighs the good. first, he lies, steals, smokes when he first gets to town and is rude to everyone except rory who also made a mistake of chasing after him while she had a boyfriend!

  • @jessrules05 then when she and jess are dating he treats her like absolute crap! throughout their relationship he never wants to do anything she wants to or sulks when he does, never tells her the truth about anything and is never honest with her. then he blows town again without saying goodbye again and then when he comes back a year later he continually ignores her until he tells her loves her at which point he leaves her again!

  • @jessrules05 then he comes back and expects her to be so weak minded that after everything he put her through she's just going to fall into his arms and run off with him! like seriously? if he knew her at all he knows that she would never do that, ESPECIALLY not for him. and you wanna talk about wrong and childish? jess did countless wrong and childless things his entire time in stars hollow and went through life not caring who he hurt, including rory. jess was easily the worst of her boyfriends

  • @jessrules05 the only thing jess had going for him was that he was cute and that he was as smart as she was, but when she was his, he treated her terribly. i;ll admit he got better by the end and maybe if there had been an eighth season they could've ended up together but the fact of the matter is for the bulk of the show jess was an inconsiderate rude thoughtless punk and i was relieved when she turned him down that second time and met logan.

  • @klarebear721 I just saw your entire conversation, and I almost disagree on all of it, but putting that aside, I have to say that Logan was MUCH worse than Jess. Do you realize that Jess never got a second chance? He tried so hard, but he never got another chance. Dean got like five, and Logan got a bazillion chances. Logan hurt Rory WAY more (cheating on her, breaking up with her after being a total dick to Jess, etc.). Jess may not have treated her very well, but it was always clear that he

  • Comment removed

  • @klarebear721 really loved her. He had some problems, yes, but he figured all of that out in the end. He had the most chemistry with Rory & understood her in a way that Logan never did. You see that ESPECIALLY in the s6 when Jess is the ONLY one who can convince her to go back to Yale - including her boyfriend and her mother! Logan never even tried to get her back, he even encouraged it! He was lazy, rich, & spoiled, and changed Rory completely. And I just can't see Rory w/ someone like that.

  • @XshamosasX you do realize we;ve argued this all out on another video, right? so....hello again!

  • @klarebear721 oh. wow. I never read your username. Sorry xD Jeez, this just shows how much energy I spend on this xD BUT, did we argue about Logan? I don't remember.

  • @XshamosasX hey no problem, im the same way lol and i believe we touched on it towards the end... we can agree to disagree on this one

  • @jessrules05 I 100000% agree with you!

  • It's funny how people said they didn't like Rory after this cuz she changed. I agree, but I never thought about it till I read those comments. I just thought I disliked her because of Logan and the fact that I never liked Dean to begin with. But it's true that she really changed after this point.

  • I have to disagree. I was disappointed that the character that I once idolized made such a poor choice but I like it because it's realistic. It shows that she isn't perfect, made a mistake, and she figures it out.

  • retiring home. haha.

  • rory was trying to self justify wat she did. she knew it was wrong but she was trying to coninve herself it was rite. grr this is when rory went downhill! rory and dean sucked togther and rory and logan were just as bad, cuz logan turned rory into something shes not. jess was the perfect guy for her and she was too stupid to realise it. and he was too little to late. gosh rory just sucked after this epi. she sounded so immature and naive. go loralie!

  • I agree! After this....rory is different.

  • what happened after she slept with dean? did he leave his wife or anything?

  • Linsey found a note from Rory to him, so she kicked him out of the house. But the note was Rory telling Dean that she couldn't be with him because he was married. Somehow they ended up together a few episodes later.

  • Do u hav the clip where lindsey found the note?

  • Sorry, shadesofgrey1947, I don't have any clips from this. I'm still trying to make downloading programs work on my computer, and I don't have gilmore girls on dvd yet.

  • Well Dean was never going to really tell Lindsey what happened but Rory told Lorilei to give him a letter and Lindsey founf it and they got divorced and Dean and Rory went out for awhile but shortly broke up because they didn't belong.

  • lorelai normally pisses me off so much, but i was totally rooting for her in this scene. what the heck is wrong with rory? this is when she really changed for the worst.

  • agreed after this rory went from the character i loved to the one i couldnt stand.

  • rorys mad annoying! ew

  • I'm for team Lorelai on this.

Rory annoyed me in this scene.

  • It should be 'You're the other woman.'

    Not 'Your the other woman.'

This always bothers me when people get it wrong.

  • i can has skool?

  • ditto!!

thank you for the correction, don't know why so many people make this mistake, it boggles my mind!

  • you would love my sister!

  • when is this ??

  • The last episode of season four. This is the very last scene.

It bothered me so much that I actually had to wait until season 5 aired on TV. Well, I guess that's the way with all season finals.

  • rory acted like a brat

  • no she didn't. she loved him. she just didn't wanna face the fact that her mum was right, she wasn't being a brat. she was confused.

  • I agree.

  • i can uderstand why the tention could make this a funny scene. not as in joking funny but that odd feeling that makes you just want to laugh because there is nothing else to do, funny.

  • not rory

  • the funny moment is with loreli

  • at the begging who is loreli talking to

    it is so funny

  • She's talking to Rory; her daughter.

Did you pay any attention at all?

Dean's married and Lorelai just about walked in on him having "relations" with her daughter-who is not his wife. That's what the conversation is about. It's not meant to be a funny moment.

  • yes but rory wasnt in the room

  • No, she wasn't, but Lorelai knew she was in the house. Did you not notice the volume of her voice? It wasn't like she was talking to someone next to her.

  • i though loreli was just talking to herself out loud

  • no she knew rory was there because rory told her that she was going to go home from the inn to get the cds and dean followed. then they had sex and dean is married and lorelai is pissd

  • ...someone needs to c-a-l-m d-o-w-n.

  • Really? I love Rory, but I hated her in this scene. I completely agreed with Lorelai.

  • I agree with your comment. I agreed with Lorelai, and it was kinda sad that rory didn't see it.

  • about what

  • why she is funny
