  • I am almost 100% sure this is only because this is only practice, but your left hand fingers are not completely curved... Not to mention I play viola... so if I am completely wrong... EXCUSE: violist <---- I would say that is pretty viable. :)

  • i dont mean this to degrade you or insult you in any way, but that technique needs a lot of work if you want to be a celllist

  • :O

  • нормально, я вот тоже мечтаю в симфоническом оркестре играть)))

  • ...............a long time ago, this chaos of a practice happened........

lol hopefully you got a lot better by then ^.^

  • Great job!!!! Whats the name of the song?

  • Curl your fingers more, keep your elbow up and use the point of your finger to rotate around for vibrato as opposed to moving your whole hand and arm. Trust me, you'll save energy and it'll sound nicer :)

  • epic pizz is epic.

  • I was *-* when u was playing

    thx for up this vid

  • THAT WAS SO GOOD! :DDDD

  • I would love to see allyou people who say she sucks try to do that with ALL that pressure?!?! Don't say "oh I can do that" no u can't so u shut up k losers?

  • what is the name of the song?

    cello part is beautiful

  • youtube symphony orchestra? whats that? i know its been like 2 years but what is that! hahah

  • u suck at cello.

  • @iSodaa Where are your videos then, yoyo?

  • just shut the fuck up and play u ugly bitch and u suck dick

  • wow ... it looks really difficult :D

  • AWESOMEEEE SOUNDED REALLY GOOD i wanna learn how to play the cello it looks so harddddd but the sound is so beautiful

  • i likw your shirt! :DD <33

    "stop staring at me.) x]

  • love your look!

  • Hi cherrybunny6,

This is my favourite piece of Tan Dun, he brings in Chinese music elements so smoothly. I play the guitar, but sure thing your very good at your instrument :)

Congrats ! Keep it up !

  • try not to collapse your knuckles.

  • i wanna see your cello too :)

  • What piece is this?? By the way nice job :))

  • @StringHearted tan dun's eroica.

He stole a load of famous classical themes, so I;m non too impressed with this work, but oh well.

  • Why am i seeing such Fail pizz on this piece this is a very simple piece and to ear the SLAP of a Pizz is rly bad Use the fleshy part of your finger and go from side to side

  • My next goal in life is to leanr how to play the cello, Is it difficult? Like how long did it take you cuz im really intrested in this instrument now!

  • my brother is doing his grade 8 and he is in year 11 and started in year 3 but his teacher thought he was really good so he skipped 7 and went from 6 to 8. hope it helped

  • i sill think thats preety Bad ass! lol, To be honest this makes me want to learn how to play the cello. Then i would know 2 Intruments! lol. Its pretty ovious that one of your profesions is in Strings/Music...and Vlogs. Lol

  • omg sesshy in the corner on the door! lol

  • you're pretty good...there's just your "nerve problem"...i play violin and i'm going to have a concert soon so i try to play in family parties first...that helps a lot

  • I liked your song! Pretty good!

Just try to feel more calm while playing :)

  • I know how you feel... I get nervous even if just recording audio. Something about future analysis just makes things a little harder... You did fine. I promise. I liked it a lot. It was a good listen.

  • I play the cello too!!! Your sound is soo good. This sounds really stupid but here's my advice. Whenever I go into an audition, I pretend I'm the best and everybody knows it. Even the judges. That way, it feels stupid to shake and be nervous. And it works trust me! I used to diss myself all the time and thats what psyched me out before auditions.

  • Wonderful heavy sounds. The tone is really good here. Some note problems though.

  • Amazing! lol, I was going to do that on ym Trombone but i was to caught up to make a video! hopefully there will be another time ro something! lol.

  • wow! ur good!! keep it up :3

  • totally amazing. seriously.

how do you know where to put your figer, since it doesnt have "separation things" on the arm, like a guitar?

    cheers from brazil

  • nope its all in the ear

  • I would think well im almost certain because its not a guitar... hmmmm i mean its a cello right and ur asking why it dosent have "Separation things" like a guitar well those "Things" could mess with the way it sounds u know....im really bad at explaining things LMFAO! she just cool lke that thats why! lol.

  • LOOK at these people! below me these people are fuckign retarded! stop making advice! and dont put comments fuck you! all! but yes u are great i cant play that

  • What the fuck? What the hell is that supposed to mean.

  • greaat!

  • Good luck with your audition.

    ------------

  • go Annie!

  • I notice you stop your vibrato as your note changes. A sustained vibrato that flows into the following note makes for a much more beautiful sound. =) I really like the piece though

  • thats is one of the hardnest techinques to get under ur fingers. Its already hard enuf to sustain a good vibrato but then transition it into the next note, its a lot harder than it sounds

  • Youre acting as if i dont know....

  • Nice work. Don't be nervous. Just do the best you can. And good luck!

  • you can play girl! you just need to loosen up a bit. :D

  • You need to relax, girl. :)

Have a look at some footage of Jacqueline Du Pre, she is the best cellist who ever walked on this planet.

  • well done!!!

  • reeaaaly good!! :)

  • Cheer up girl... You look sad...

  • yeh i shake when i know ppl r watching me play the cello too.....a lot!

  • actually.... you didn't degrade anybody but... yourself.

  • I Love It!!! ^^

  • you are the best

  • your future is assured in the music. copiar.que excellent attitude worthy of the others think it is indifferent, we love you.

  • Not Bad but am beter haha kinding

  • Not everyone in the world is as secure about themselves as you obviously must be. I'm so sorry you were raised to be an ignorant little prick who degrades others so they can feel better about themselves.

  • hatefull bastard

  • well ur mean arnt yeah? like to see you do that on any instrument and see how people critisize you! then ull know how it feels! Your Such and Ass

  • Did I hear a fragment of Beethoven's 3rd Symphony?

  • yes, there is a fragment of it in there.

  • you did great! just make sure to smile! ok.... believe me or not... not cope with stage fright my conductor tells us to eat bananas.... the potassium in the bananas felt with stopping stage fright! also! you just got to play infornt of people more... first start with friends and family,,, then in a group then try for a solo infront of people on stage! You'll do great! good luck!

  • You did it really cool! I love the cello

  • don't worry, im video camera shy 2!! continue 2 practice!!!! did u make it, yet?

  • You are fantastic!!! Really well done! I really enjoyed your performance!

  • You're realllly goooooood. :)

  • i thought you were good :-) im a celloist too and i know how nervous i get lolz hopefully i am improving but keep it up ... you will improve and that nervous shake will go away =]

  • lol u shud try out 4 interlochen arts academy

  • that is some weird stuff...but good job for truing :D

  • Good job

  • what.

  • man that was stupidly off topic

  • dude nice... but thats just mean, its not like shes uberly obese or something.

  • But there are so many people who have watched this video, I think that's already kind of a big success ;)

  • very good :) , it's sounds anyway more real with the background music, would have been a good idea to do so for me, too. i wish you good luck and maybe you'd like to have a look at my performance aswell

  • I actually never got to do a real audition. Both of my cellos are school cellos and they have a terrible squeaky sound when I try to play fast staccato notes. :( Which is most of this song.

You only can't hear it in this BECAUSE of the background music...

also I got angry at myself for never being able to play it all the way through without messing up.

  • U might get the part. i was gonna audition but my camrea broke :0 i was gonna do it for the tuba. i would have made it because theres no frikin tubas auditioning lol

  • WOW YOU ARE VERY GOOD!! I HOPE YOU MAKE IT!! will u be my friend?? i wanted to try out but i am too oyung...and by one stinking year too!

  • your good ... just keep practicing always do your best cuz practice makes permanent

  • GREAT!!! Don't be afraid....get lost in the music!!! What a gorgeous piece. ...

You did great!! Really.....don't freak yourself out...you can totally do this with no problem.

Go get it!!! :) I would only suggest to watch your meter....but great!!!

  • 3:48 ! I love it!

    BRAVO!

  • I'm sorry, I can't read that. ^^;

  • holy cow you are good!!!!!

  • That was really good

  • Awesome! I, too, am trying out for the YouTube Symphony Orchestra as cellist. Keep up the good work.

  • auuggh, more competition. xD

    thanks though! Good luck. :)

  • Couldn't see any shaking besides the vibrato. I love your "practice".

  • Good job!

the "shaking" isn't really too noticeable

I'm sure the actual audition will be great

but maybe try backing up so we can see your bow

  • well, I can't really back up since my room isn't as big as it seems. If I can find my music stand, I was thinking of recording it with me in a different spot of my room...

  • good luck... very good... just practice the changes of harmonics notes

  • your play really nice :) ! I'm cellist

and well your relly good ! :D

  • sounds pretty cool! good luck, your play is really nice )

  • Good morning, weeaboo faggot!

Assumedly you woke up to Ayumi Hamasaki singing about pocky, but please try to keep your Petroleum Jelly off my lawn.

    Regards.

  • whats wih that comment?

  • And you would be what exactly? Applying to play parts in anime fandubs and singing anime songs on your channel and whatnot?

It's not like I care, but that comment was just really ironic.

By the way, if you checked that girl's profile, she's from Hong Kong, which happens to be in a different time zone, so saying "Good morning" to her doesn't make any sense.

  • I honestly did not make that comment. My boyfriend was over and we were on my account, and I just let him post that. xD

Honestly. If it were really me, I wouldn't have said anything at all.

  • Great job, girl!!! You sound really good! Good luck to you on making the cut.

  • GOOD FOR YOU laying this down!! You did way better on a tough piece than you prob think. Best of luck on your "real" run, I'll look for you from the French horn section!

  • Great :P

  • you have a rich sound and good vibrato:)

    keep up the good work:)

  • lubb teh soundd

    keep it upp :D

  • awesome girl

    ull do great!

    ^^

  • Good Job!!! That was awesome! =D

Im trying out for the violin part.

  • Totally awesome!

I would suggest doing the Violin 2 part instead of Violin 1, because everyone so far has been auditioning for first part. That leaves room open for second part!

  • haha yep thats the plan!

  • i was gonna try out for bass but hahah nope. great job!!!!!!!hope both of u make it!!!

  • OMG NOW IM NERVOUS TO TRY OUT FOR THIS THING hAHAH

    well good luck!

im probably going to do this like the last day hahaha

  • very good hope to see you in newyuork by cherrybunny

  • wow much better than your viola video. well done. my advice, dont play the whole cords. the intonation is a lot harder and i dont think you have to play the whole chord. or at least i hope not, because i didnt...

  • I would hope I did better. xD

Actually, since this video's been made, I've gotten better at playing the chords. I've practiced~

Thankyou! You did very well in your viola video, and I know you'll make it!

  • That's really quite good. I didn't feel your nerves at all. I think you are going to do great!

  • Oh gosh, you're so good! And jeez, you're so humble too!! :D I wish you the best of luck with your audition!! <3

  • holy crap that was amazing. i wish i could play as well as you did. i fuckin suck. and i dont even play that instrument. are you still in a school band?? not a rapest :D

  • Haha, you're funny! :)

I don't know anything about cello, but that still sounded cool! And you're favorited on the Symphony page so they must think it's pretty good!

    :)

  • Oh wow, I have been! :D Awesome!

I'd be practicing some more, but yesterday I accidentally broke one of my strings. I'll get that fixed soon...

  • hm.. work on your vibrato

  • you are amazing. I'm sure you'll do just fien on your audition. Cant wait, subscribing now.

  • intonation and your fingering hand is 'collapsed' make sure it is round. pick up a soda can, drop it then plant your fingers on the fingerboard. sounds good so far!

  • ur pretty good.. at least u stayed with the rythm. i wish i could join but im still 13

  • how old do you have to be to join?

  • 14 to 108

  • 14 and above

  • i have the same problem

  • hehe you're a very funny and adorable person!! i was laughing at the end after u finished... and towards the end the 4/4 bar offbeats u went "i missed a beat....." LOL.. but GOOD JOB.. you wont have a problem with your real audition :)

  • This really good :D

  • kinda

  • WOW! THAT WAS SOOOO COOL I ADMIRE U!

  • lol~ 3:49~

  • how long have u been taking Cello lessons? Your really good and I hope you did good on stage because it sounded beautiful right there :)

  • I took them for 2 years, but I stopped this year. ^^;

maybe I should've continued to help me on this piece? xD

    thankyou!

  • i have a question~ your good by the way, but like I'm 13 and Im trying to get in the YTSO, but, exactly how do you read the sheet music? cuz i don't know what program to use to view it! and I really want to join~ thank you so much if you could help me~

  • You need Adobe Acrobat to read the files...

usually computers come with that program (even macs). Did yours not?

  • THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!!! no, mine didn't..

  • megadethrox444, sorry to tell u that, if you check their rules, only 14(before Dec 1,2008) or above is allowed to join.

  • That was really good. ^^

  • Look on dark cellist below. Hey, you should see how fast they trill capriccico espagnol (spelling errir?), it's basicly like, I don't know, supersonic or something.

  • You're good!

  • Nice... Good luck!

    some of my collection.

(Gioconda de Vito, Berl Senofsky, Vlado Perlemuter,

    Carl Schuricht, Gina Bachauer etc)

  • That was amazing. I'm a third year cellist and I just got the sheet music to the YouTubeSymphony a few days ago. You are so gonna make it to NewYork:)

    P.S.

How do you trill so fast?

  • I enjoyed that a lot, thanks for sharing it :-) Beautiful sound!

  • You're supposed to FFF then lower every measure - you went through it without slowly going down!!!

  • Yeah, I have to work on dynamics. I was at first just working on getting the rhythm and the notes, so now I can work on that. :)

  • great!!!!!! just keep practicing!

    and u ll be in!

    how long u play ?

  • i definitely thought you were great. the only thing is, as my teacher always told me, don't go into something already dissing yourself, you know? i thought you were good if you didn't point out your fault
