I think the translation for what Gong Li said was a little off. When she said I don't want to show off by telling people whatever brand it is I'm wearing, although this year I've been wearing Cavalli, the subtitle said This year I'm wearing Cavalli because it has a little Oriental touch. That's really weird, it's like the media is trying to exaggerate the her Orientalism by distorting her statements.
