Yeah, I've been incredibly lazy the past time, so I have never gotten to make any update... Anyway yet, the new episode 8, Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody, which is pivotal to the plot of "The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya," has been out for quite a while now. Since the rerun blends with the new episodes, going chronologically, we'll have to wait till June 18th for the next new episode.

A rerun of the first season began in Japan in April. But the TV stations airing it have written, that it will be 28 episodes. Additionally, the rerun seems to run in the chronological order, which could be indicator for the second season beginning at the end of the rerun. Also, the preview at the end of the first episode of the rerun showed a picture of, what seemed to be a live-action Haruhi in the Kouyouen uniform, which further indicates a second season based on the 4. novel.

The first season started reairing on April 8th. It's on for 28 weeks, which means that the first season would run through July 8th, putting Season 2's debut at July 15th.

Of course, this is all speculation seeing has how absolutely NOTHING has been confirmed officially.

Leaked info in the Japan to U. S. media central stated that "The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya" (Haruhi season 2) will most likely come in May of this year (2009). I know how excited everybody is so I advise you who read this to: read the light novel. This gives a main idea and a more accurate complexion of the main plot. It will most likely be called "The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya," since everything makes the obvious suggestions that it'll adapt the plot of the fourth light novel of the same name. And it's NOT FRIGGIN' OUT YET!!! It's not known if we're actually gonna get it. But I expect that we do, since KyoAni wouldn't advert it for no reason (I hope).

you guys have to admit its not fair for Masterpiece-anime like Haruhi or Lucky Star to have so VERY few episodes. It's just unfair. Look at stuff like One Piece, Sailor Moon, Pokemon, these titles are just average quality ( even tho' i like pokemon) but they get like a couple of hundreds of episodes. and Haruhi only 14 ??? wheres the justice. well it's probably true, if Haruhi S. had like 100 eps then the quality would go down. But they could make it something like 51 eps. Like FMA which is good

Shounen series often get many more episodes and go on for many years. Seinen series mostly stay with like 50 episodes at most. Most only get one (approximately 26 episodes) or a half (13 episodes) season. Some end up having a few half or full seasons but it's only a few from what I've seen.

When you search it the top one should say "Baka-Tsuki" and the one under it should say "Suzumiya Haruhi-Baka-Tsuki" Choose that one and when the page comes up, school down until you see the titles of the novels (The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzuiya, The Sighs of Haruhi Suzmiya, etc) and then find the novel you want to read. When you find it, below are chapters. Theyre in English by the way so you can read them ^-^

If you want to know more of the story, go read the novels, those are the originals. You can read them online translated (I won't post a link!) or you can wait until they come to America, which will happen in 2009.

Bamboo leaf rhapsody basiclly its Kyon's fault Haruhi disaperared when he went back in time 3 years ago while Suzumiya was still at Jr. high festival somewhat Kyon met past Haruhi and telling her a fake identity by the name of John Smith.

Oh, and yeah, it isn't right that it is Kyon's fault. Through him traveling there, the trigger was pulled, so Haruhi would actually get to North High although I don't know whose idea it all was from the beginning, there must have been a reason why the "first Kyon" to do this did it, probably we'll get to know sooner or later. But that Haruhi disappeared was solely another persons fault. I don't wanna spoil, so I won't say the name.

It isn't even official that it's that story, but... it's just far too obvious xD The 18th December (known to all vol. 4 readers) the official Haruhi site "disappeared" and there was a false error message or something. Then there was a "program" that wanted to start and asked for a password. The program was called the "Emergency Escape Program". Everyone who has read vol. 4 knows what it is. Well, use the link in the description and read the rest yourself^^
