  • 3:05 hahha mario

  • I was just waiting for "It's e meeee, Mario!" xD

  • a huge factor in this is track experience...even tho they race once a year, the veterans of the sport still know the track more inside out then Block does so he's really relying on his co driver you can tel how the co driver panics and feels he's not listening...sucks that he crashed earlier in the season

  • Comment removed

  • damn mario has gone a long way from mario kart 64

  • @transmordas: i think when he gets the hang of it he may drive wonderfully, coz what he used to do require a lot of concentration.. just wait and see.

  • LOL its MARIO!!

  • Soo... Is Ken Block driving Mario to save the princess?

  • Co-driversounds like Mario

  • @BluesodaMania good job you can copy the highest rated comments :/

  • he tried that gymkhana thing 500 times to get it right and everyone consider this guy as the best driver now but comparing him on rallies like that when it really mathers you can see that compared to some real talents such as loeb he kinda sucks. dont get me wrong, i love ken's gymkhana :)

  • the fucking whistling is soooooooo fucking annoying

  • @thezennmaster well, thats the consequences of being a rally driver,

  • 100 6 right opens over crest 40 3 left tightens into 5 right opens minus into 6 right over crest into left 4 opens long into straight 200 into 2 left tightens into 5 right into 5 right opens into left 3 into...

  • Kimi better :)

  • God if this guy was my co-pilot i'd lose the stage just because i was laughing all the time 'cause of his accent. :D

  • Glad to see so many loosers around here criticizing Block.

I wonder how many of you at least touched a WRC car in your life because asking if you ever drove one is too much!

  • @MirceaBv i´m a rally driver here in peru, where tracks are very very dangerous and complicated i can tell you man that ken block, is going to slow, and that is a very easy road compare to what we have here and in other countries. not wish to fight, i just think than ken is going slow

  • @chalcuchima

Man that's his first year in WRC. Many who are champions now had the same performance as Ken at the beginning.

I didn't say he is fast but don't talk about someone when you are not even 1% as good as him.

  • slow and steady wins the race ken.

  • I don't get how the driver can keep up with the co-driver's instructions!

  • much better than mario....please compare the navigator with "Count count" from sesame street ! i love to count

  • Block, change the damn co-driver, I can only take so much of Mario, GET LUIGI!

  • wow that looks terrible slow

  • low pressure at 4:30, LOL, unlucky rally for block

  • @upn0rth1: "its a ford focus RS. not available for sale in the US". It's actually a Ford Focus WRC works car, not on sale anwhere. You can get a one or two years-old models for approximately $1 million (without spares). The running costs of such a car is approximately $1'400 per competitive mile :-)))

  • Ok the DC videos are amazing, but this is not a big deal to take a tape with best moments from 100 tryouts, you can even see many skidmarks in those videos, so it's clear - the cool moves and amazing looking car control is made, thanks to 100 takes and all the rest of filming and editor crew.

Legends are Loeb or MCrae for example, but not this show ass with CO-driver MARiO. :D:D:D

P.S and sorry for my English if there ... :)

  • @transmordas Very few could pull off what Block did in the DC videos, even with 1000s of takes. Don't kid yourself. KB will set a precedence for WRC. Give him a couple years and it's over for most of the top 5 guys

  • @skumbuck In your dreams, he´s over 42Yo. He is a mediocre driver at he´s best days.

  • @bengtsson45 it sucks for you Europeans that an American is going to dominate. Yep yep, it's gotta suck!

  • @skumbuck Most guys in three classes below would drive the pants of Ken Block.

He payed his way into WRC. That pisses me off becasue it lowers the standard of WRC and it takes away the glory from the real drivers who worked there way up from the lowest classes and gave it all. Not every wannabe rally driver can afford to buy WRC spec cars.

  • @bengtsson45 what horseshit are you talking about? he bought his WRC spec car? Sorry pal, he got a FULL factory ride from Ford. He hasn't spent a single Euro on this endeavor. Do the research before you talk trash and make yourself look ignorant and jealous.

  • @skumbuck I am talking about the energy drink company along with ford that payed for this publicity stunt!

Ken block is not in WRC because of his driving skills and i think that lowers the quality of the championship.

We got tons of guys here driving 20.000$ rally cars that would drive circles around Ken and his 1.000.000$ car.

I would also like to ad that i hold no personal grudge against Ken and given the opportunity i think most of us would take the chance to drive in the WRC.

  • @transmordas if you watch Ken's show-off videos more carefully, you will see that he is still VERY SKILLED, and those tire marks are never far off. Also, check the shots where he's doing some pretty elaborate maneuvers, for example, next to a ledge or around the buildings. There's no significant marks on his car, so it looks like the 100 takes are just for the perfection. He's still getting it mostly right. However I agree, Loeb and McRae are/were still far better than Block, but he's improving.

  • its a start. hopfully ken scores ponits before the season ends

  • the legendary ken block..

  • @edwinwalong WHAAT????? c'mon he's a fckng clown NOT legend! I was surprised/shocked when i saw Ken Block name in WRC, because fia rally isn't place for clowns who are TRAINED to show off. The right place for these kind of ''Rally'' drivers are CIRCUS, and WRC 2010 is living proof of that. I knew at the begining, that this will be a 100% FAIL for Ken Block, when i saw him first time on WRC.

  • @transmordas: with time he will get experience, what he used to do required alot of skill and understanding of the laws of physics..

  • but at the end of the day its still just a focus

  • its a ford focus RS. not available for sale in the US. There was one for sale in mexico (just over the TX border) that got bought for 45k. The focus is actually a pretty nice car. Easily on par with the STI.

  • It's a Ford Fiesta and Gelsomino has been Ken's Co-Driver for ages.

  • its a focus st

  • @TheFlight815

    Ford Focus RS WRC

  • @Matt5195 no, that's for Rally America, his WRC is a Ford Focus RS.

  • Its really, really good to see an American in WRC. This is much better than going in circles (literally) for 2 hours

  • He's not consistent because he is not ready for WRC (I doubt he will ever be). Please stop spreading BS about Ford, apparently You don't know too much about rallying (if You were You wouldn't write such stupid comment).

  • I don't know why you are smack talking Block either... This was his first competitive WRC event in one of the most difficult rally stages...

  • haaah ^^ obviously american.

  • @OuijaB0ard better than those damn brits

  • almost as shitty as Fox

  • You are a moron. They are a very successful car company especially in europe

  • if you dont have anything constructive to say then s t f u. ford produced some of the best rally legends in history. lets see you try a course you are new at with a car you just started driving. it is hard to do. just give him a few rounds and he will get good with the new car. i doubt you can do better.

  • @driftkid93308 it's more Monster putting out Block than Ford, see Block is sponsored by Ford, not endoursed. He is Ford-supported. But his main sponsor is Monster, who buys the car and all that stuff for him..

  • i wasnt really talking about sponsors

  • Ford R200, Ford Escort RS Cosworth...

of course those are pretty rare cars... Let's not forget about the Ford Mustang which is a legend by itself (minus a few models).

  • you obviously know nothing about ford and the WRC.... it is not the same as the focus that they sell in the states..

  • Ouch

  • Ken Block is a very funny guy but I have to say, he is still not a fast and consistent driver.

  • because it was his debut if you wait 2 or 3 more rally i hope he may be as he ever been

  • Donde puedo encontrar mas de estos videos..??

  • wrc channel..

  • @vamonozricky77 subscribite a WRC a la derecha y siempre te salen videos Onboard sino pones en youtube On Board o Onboard y el nombre del que quieras ver... hay muchos

  • lol how on earth did ken block end up with him as a co driver...he sounds like he can barely pronouce things and he also sounds like mario....

  • lol!! Mario + ken, they should consider asking Nintendo to sponsor their car. Ken must be thinking "OMG, what the hell is he talking about"

  • i doubt.....or he would find a new co-driver....idiot.

  • @oliroolz IF you actually meet Alex in real life he talks really good western english, with a slight italian accent. I would assume Ken chose him on his co-driving ability not the sound of his voice.

  • that's why ken shouldn't have changed from subaru to ford

  • @johnolazabal He wouldnt be racing in WRC if he hadnt have changed...

  • @johnolazabal Than tell Subaru to come back to WRC then:)

  • Luijjji & Maaarioo in WRC... xD

  • hahaha.. damn! I'm the guy at 00:28, but I got really nice pics :P

  • Damn it, i'm italian and my pronunciation is a lot better than his one...

I (as italian) truly apologize for that guy...

  • I think Ken should have perhaps tried to hire a more experienced co-driver. All right, maybe I'm jumping to conclusions too soon, but I think that the co-driver doesn't provide a good rhythm. Ken was quite obviously mislead by the pacenotes into almost missing a right-hander at about 1:36--his late and shallow turn-in caused him to hit his first big pothole. I think Ken was gradually moved into driving by what he saw.

  • @barsorrro Gelsomino has been co-driving since '92. He's spent about 4x the amount of time in the co-drivers seat than Ken has spent in the drivers seat. He's a solid co-driver just the WRC pacenotes tend to be more indepth and called earlier compared to Rally America's automated system. Though I do agree, it would help if he waited to call some of the turns until he passes the previous portion. But who knows, I'm no professional

  • @TheMARPATNinja7 i gess ur right about when he should say the next corner but the thing is what if theres like a left - right chicane followed by a hairpin. i think thats the only trouble of what your saying

  • long... Looong, open...okkk

  • Its ame. A mario.

  • it felt like ken block all of the sudden would say "SHUT THE FUCK UP SHIT!"

  • Now we can see, who is showmen, and who is the real DRIVER

  • right threeeee...

Block get back to selling shoes

  • iiinnn toooo

  • It's correct guys! U CAN be penalised if you're not buckeld up when moving. even if the driver doesn't wear his gloves when moving, the crew can be penalised!

  • U got to love Alessandro's ( co-driver ) style reading the pacenotes. " Right Laaaate oonne thirtyyyy" : D

  • grande Ken!!!

  • thats wierd, right when the car shut down the video decided to freeze!

  • HAHA if i was ever to become a rally driver i would of course pick someone whos voice was nice or funny to listen too...like mario over here.

  • "It's me, Mario!!! Let's go!!!"

  • HHahhahahahahhhaha, super Mario is in the WRC!!! :-))))))

  • @strasharo cling cling (mario coins)

  • Ken Block is newb

  • Much better than his subrua Group n spec car

  • its meeeaa marrriioooo

  • LOL, at 4:33 Ken thinks: Ford, (why Ford)

    SHIT !!!

  • @TheCruiser93 Because Ford WRC is much much faster than his former Subaru WRX production car..

  • that co-driver f'ed up badly! why was he leaving the car if ken (a better mechanic than him for sure) was trying to start the engine AND how was it possible not to manage to buckle up in a decent speed..... u can even see Ken shaking his head at that moment.

  • i think you can get penalized if you're not buckeld up when the car is in motion.

  • well YOU DO but what i was saying was the SPEED and that he was leaving the car.

  • @tohtorigyro Yeah you can, Daniel Elena unbuckled himself last year when Loeb was still moving and they got a penalty.

  • Listening Alex I remeber my videogame...WELCOME TO MARIO CART

  • Isn't Ken's 50th B-day coming up?

  • @30mmBalistic

lol.. dude he's 41. A fair way from 50 still.

  • no he's 42.

  • Go KEN and ALEX !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i waited hes onboard thanx wrc

  • boop boop go ken man it suck he crashed on day to the guy was doing the second fastest split times made a rookie mistake and it cost him cant wait till his next outing. he should be doing the rally of Jordan that rally is exciting

  • Mario voice detected.: 3

  • It's always funny listening to an Italian speaking English .. Even if you live around it every day. Everything seems to end as an exclamation!

Thanks for upload. Although KB broke my little heart when he left Subaru .. You win some you lose some I guess.

  • thanks for uploading

  • it's very funny to me he has an italian co-driver... funny voice. but gotta love'em both! cheers for the upload! i love these onboard vids

  • very nice
