Hey how do you do a backwards chain.

Put it into "shuttle mode" You have to make sure that there is a lift behind the station. Then double click on the lift segment to get to segment settings. Then you click on "reverse cable lift" and "release when reaching end. On the station have it set to "reverse cable lift". Then turn off the transport device in the station. On the other chain just click "release when reaching end"

I can't put the chain behind the track. It keeps adding it on the new track.

Instead of adding a segment "before start". There is a button for that right next to the add segment "to end" Or, on a mac you can go to the edit toolbar.
