It would does sound different in a live situation. But I guess you are all 15 year old guitarsts who actually think you could play. Grow up!
@dintubmongo i have to agree with him his tone is poor during this performance compared to the dvd it is very poor even at his other live blue performances his tone is way better.
and i make song i agree with what u said about the mixer issue but overall i think his tone was just not that great in this version of the song it is clearly lacking presence and it could use a tad more gain

If he wanted the stage lights that were shining up at his face to be turned off, it's probably because he had probably ask it before the show, to protect his eyes. It's the problem for most artists : the stage lights are so powerful that it hurts eyes of artists. And if there's so much artists or famous people that wear sunglasses, it's npt only for the style, but also because their eyes are becoming very sensitive to light.

If you're on stage, and you're trying to perform but you're hindered by blinding lights whenever you try to look at the guitar, it gets annoying. A douche move would've been if he'd pulled an Axl and just left the show altogether. He played on. That's called being professional.
I do think he's a douche because he's ywngie actually haha, I've watched enough vids to get an understanding of his personality... and... I think he's a douche. Just sayin.. my personal opinion. Gilberts got a much better personality--indisputable.

The direct from mixer set up is really lacking reverb.
