This was my Dad's favorite piece of music, which I arranged for the guitar and played for him often, even at his funeral. Nice to see Ohta-san's legacy lives on. Thanks for posting this.

I never get tired of listening to this Song for Anna played by Herb, Sr. with his ukulele which I have my own MP3 copy. Now I discovered Herb, Jr. and Daniel Ho, have a duet of it, I'm looking forward to buy it online. My question to this popular musicians is: who really composed this song? Was it Andre Popp or Pierre Trousaant. Does anyone out there has a good answer?

gorgeous piece! I still have the vinyl Lp released in 1973 which I've treasured ~ I've only played this record a total of 3 times keeping it close to mint condition & dust-free! I love this new version (that Daniel Ho arranged?) ... I'm gonna purchase their "Step 2" CD !! Thanks Herb Jr & Daniel ... and Ohta San ... for this timeless piece!

I am a music lover with wide range of taste. This is hands-down my favorite song. It took me forever to find the name of the song, and then the artist, Herb Ohta Sr. This is a real treat. Paul Mauriat's version is great too!!

This song is tabbed/written out in "famous ukulele solos and duets" edited by John King
Some of the extra ornamentation is not on there, but the basic song is, with fingerpicking/chords diagrammed out- playable with a couple hours of practice for novice to intermediate skill level
