I have to agree with Didymus-I see the Erlking as the Messenger of Death-not necessarily evil. Certainly, not well-liked! He was the Death Gatherer of Children. Not a nice job! If you have access to Steve Gilette recording of this song(his version); it paints this picture. The father tries to outrun him, but ,of course, doesn't make it. The Erlking shows the boy all the cool stuff he will have.(maybe, maybe not). Good version of song, interesting story.
I never really thought of the Erlking of evil. I always kind of saw him as the messengerboy for death. He offers for people to come to him when their time is up and they can go to him, like have their spirit leave their body so they don't feel the pain when they die, or stay and let death take them.
Put it up! :D Seriously I've just spent all night doing 6 different musical settings of teh poem and this was the best related light relief I could find!
LOL... Yea, this thing is pretty old now... And this was a rough cut of the trailer. There's alot I wish I could have done with the actual movie. We finished it, but I was never pleased with the final product. That's why I've never put it up. If that answers any of the questions I've been sent :-P
That's not a problem. The poem can be the inspiration for a whole a movie - I mean it can be expanded to great extends, it's not difficult and I'm sure there are plenty of people who can do it. Just think about it - there can be more told about the characters around the scene in the woods - what's before and after? And exactly over what period of time does the action in the woods take place? The whole thing is perfect for a movie, I totally agree with Sanguiluna!
If you can't put it into 1 GB can you put it in parts that way it'll fit?

The music from Carmina Burana certainly enhances the effect of this trailer.

The Erlking would make a damn good horror movie. I'm surprised no one has ever done it yet.

Sanguiluna, you have to realize this thing is like 2 minutes long! It's too short. Still would make a great movie though =)
