  • damn the roast duck looks good

  • didnt the asian epidemic 'sars' come from dirty infested duck farms?

  • @swiffstep no

  • @terrorhunter look it up. it came from ducks then pigs then spread to what was known as sars. but i love duck. so much more fat than chicken

  • @swiffstep it came from civet cats and was spread by respiratory droplets.

  • yea, well I believe the only reason they left the feathers on the heads is so they could tell male from female. the males have green or blue-green heads...(Mallards).

  • "Go north for Duckskin"

    Ah. SO True.

Beijing Peking duck is the shit. ^_^

  • EEP! 2:07-2:11 - the duck eye just STARES at you! *shudders* creeeeeeeepy!

  • Well... at least these ducks don't still have feathers on their heads. Sorry but that still just creeps me out.

  • agreed.

  • but did the other ducks have thier eyes open? I just watched that episode and can't remember. The feathers hid them. THESE ducks have their eyes WIDE open

  • i love this show, thanks for posting...but one quick note, ever note how the chairman always says "If my memory serves me correctly", says it for the introduction of every challenger and every main indgredit, lol

  • It's his motto.

  • A magnificent setup for a legendary battle. A luxurious ingredient--one of my favorite meats in my predominantly protein/starch diet--with chefs representing two disciplines that make excellent use of the ingredient using very different approaches. What I would give to judge this one!

  • That duck intro video with the slicking of the chinese bba duck got me salivating!

  • the way chairman kaga says アヒル in the beginning is amazing.

  • He says "Allez cuisine".

It's French I guess. Maybe not.

  • it's the japanese word for duck, before he says allez cuisine

  • Wow Sakai is leaving his hat on for this battle. Very interesting. :)

  • LOL. Nice saying, and true too. Peking duck in the north, crispy spit-roasted pork in the south. Though it must be said that southern Chinese cuisine (I'm thinking Cantonese here) beats northern cuisine Chinese everytime.

  • shan dong style is the number one.

beside, u should learn more about the 8 major styles.

  • This is going to be interesting, I know both the French and the Chinese have some really good duck recipes, wonder what they're going to make
