  • To all of you who have it, please look forward to natural treatment, do not used medicine or shampoo with ingredients that can damage your liver and other organs,

Thera- cream double strength works perfect for me, and I dont poison myself with this unpronounceable products.

  • well for my dandruff b/c it is bad i use LOCOID (hydrocortisone) lotion on my scalp and it doesn't seem to be working and i cant get rid of my dandruff

  • you should check out Desaundrea's channel. She has made an all natural soap for a friend who suffers from SD and she sells them on Etsy. Her vids are very informative as far as things you can use to help with the symptons and she explains them in detail. My daughter has SD and yes it is an ordeal. good luck

  • i'm just posting this comment for the good of the whole. if you can, consult a dermatologist because sometimes OTC products don't work as well in bad flare ups & U may need some Rx's. i was prescribed: loprox shampoo, derma-smooth scalp oil and beta-val ointment. i think after i finish my treatments with those, i'll be able to control it w/ OTC and natural remedies. glad i'm not the only natural w/ this condition. best wishes to all. :-)

  • I have a question. I got my hair twisted to be locked up two weeks ago and it was itching bad& my dandruff was bad so I washed it. I lacth hook edto tighten my roots& twisted along the lenght with some lock& twist gel mix with coconut oil. The next day I still have dandruff. What did I do wrong? And how do I get rid of it?Here are theproducts I use.Loc and twist gel,Coconut oil,Herbal oil mixed with water as a hair spritzs,Dr. Bonners tea tree soap as shampoo &acv rinse as a pre poo

  • Well is the dandruff on your scalp or in your hair? I don't use any product b/c i don't want buildup on top of my dandruff to try to remove, and when i used coconut oil on my loose hair i noticed it left build up. I don't know about the other products. I would try doing another wash using some anti dandruff shampoo. I know that if I wash my hair 4-5x/wk, I can keep the dandruff under control much better than washing 1-2x a week. Keep working w/it..it took a while for me to get a routine i liked.

  • Ketoconazole 2% shampoo; tar shampoos may be equally effective; If these do not work, then the old standard, 3% sulfur precipitate and 2% salicylic acid in an oil-in-water base is effective; this must be properly compounded. Also, 12.5% hydrocortisone cream daily will work, but patients should be monitored for signs of atrophy. 1% pimecrolimus cream and 0.03% tacrolimus ointment are safe and effective.

  • Thanks. The Neutrogena shampoo is 3% salicylic acid and honestly..i haven't been really impressed with it while I have locs. I loved it when my hair was loose though. I will try the creams.

  • You're the first person I've seen with seborrhea and locs. I've wondered if you could have locs with that condition (I have seborrhea as well) cause you have to wash the scalp so often. Thanks for sharing!

  • But do you still get flakes after washing? (cause I get them after I wash, then the next day theyre almost gone because I shake em up, then the day before I wash I can feel that my scalp is itchy again. Not flaky, till I wash) oh and I meant to ask if u wet your hair when you DONT wash :P thanks for your reply!

  • If you are seeing a bunch of flakes right after you wash then it sounds like the wash is getting them off your scalp but they are stuck in your hair? I do see a few flakes right after i wash that just didn't get rinsed off but i try to remove those w/a towel. Before i tried baking soda i would wash my hair and there would be A TON of flakes still in my hair after I washed it b/c the shampoo wasn't removing them from my hair...just from my scalp. The baking soda helps get them out of my hair.

  • You have to make sure you rinse really really well and really work the baking soda into your scalp and hair to get everything out.

I spray my hair everyday w/a mixture of water and olive oil. I don't saturate it, just a light spritz- so it gets a little wet everyday! - i hope this helps!

  • A few are unnatached but most of them are still on my scalp, even if I wash REALLY well. This also happened with shampoo. Probably the baking soda is getting rid of flakes in my hair, but not my scalp? Later on the day that I wash i get them all over my hair cause they get unnatached from the scalp, the next day theyre almost gone till I wash again, or maybe the day before I do.

  • have you tried the t-gel shampoo? before i locked my hair i used it all the time b/c it got the flakes off of my scalp really well.

  • Hi, how is your scalp doing lately? Ive been trying baking soda for about two weeks but havent seen any results yet. I get flakes right after washing...How long did it take to be effective? is it still working for you? do you wet your hair when you dont wash? Thanks, your video has given me some hope :D Im not sure if I have this condition though. I believe so because my scalp becomes red and flaky, not sure if its the same. Can you tell me some of your symptoms?

  • With the baking soda, I do not wet my hair first. I just mix it with water and spray until my hair is really soaked. I aim at my scalp and the base of the lock. Then you have to really work the mix into your scalp to break up the flakes. Then in the shower continue to work in in and rinse really really well. It gets the flakes out of the lock- it doesn't help the condition...my hair will begin to flake up again after about 48hrs.

  • My symptoms - I get big flakes on my scalp and if I scratch them up, it's raw underneath..so I don't scratch, i rub b/c scratching seems to make them regenerate faster. I'm experimenting with the T-gel shampoo..trying to see if it helps lift the flakes up combined w/baking soda...i'm still not sure yet. One week I baking soda washed almost everyday and it really helped remove extra flakes from my locs but i don't have time to do that all the time. Thanks for watching and let me know what works!

  • thank u thank tthankkkkkkkkk u for this video now i feel i can get locks

  • Your welcome. I know how you feel. I was on the fence for a LONG time...but so far so good!

  • Thanks!

  • Thanks for this kind of information. I will try it because I too have scalp psoriasis so you definitely not alone.

  • Funny video yet very informative. Thanks
