Saosin are an average band for me... Mostly because Alex Rodriguez is a demi-God behind the kit, but Cove's live vocals are shocking, so they kind of even each other out... He keeps it relatively together for this one, but stuff like Follow and Feel and Sleepers sound dreadful... Still, love the studio music and will always be a fan

Cove was a phenomenal vocalist. He had incredible talent. The reason why he was asked to leave Saosin is because he let his abilities deteriorate. His power, range, clarity, and consistency all slowly withered away because he didn't take the time to rest his vocal chords, warm up, or train when he needed to. Smoking cigarettes before each show didn't help much either. Singing as well as he did is hard, but totally possible if you keep at it.

IF they were using some sort of effect, it wouldn't be autotune. It's called pitch corrector, it doesn't make them a better singer, just helps them out on albums incase their voice cracks, it's just to make a little bit more perfect. Autotune is what dumb ass Li'l Wayne uses.

For example, if you correct the pitch on a vocal track in Pro Tools, ur auto tuning in/ "Auto tune" does not just apply to rappers with their digital voices. Practically, every recording artist uses auto tune to some degree. Some more than others. Every professionally recorded live performance that is released as an album is auto tuned, such as this one.

Pretty much ever DVD live performance is auto tuned. This is no different. You can really hear the auto tune in the "I'll never tell." That is straight up auto tune. It is ridiculous to deny that.

Do you really know what you're saying? How is he using pitch modification that isn't classified as auto tune. The only reasonable explanation is that that the producers are manually modifying the pitch of his voice digitally which isn't auto tune but manual tune. That would be highly unlikely and isn't the case here.

However, many bands do auto tune the voices when they release live DVDs such as this one. Many labels won't allow DVDs to be released without being somewhat enhanced. So Cove using auto tune really isn't a big deal. That doesn't change the fact that he's using auto tune.
