this band is cool.... clearly deathcore though. Tech death is more about constant changing time signatures and breakdowns don't normally happen as much.

compare this band to a certified techdeath band such as Neuraxis, Gorod, Necrophagist, etc.

not quite the same. I'd say they're among the best deathcore out there though.

That's not why I'm not a fan of deathcore (btw, this is deathcore/ melodeath fusion. sheesh.) But some deathcore bands would be great if they didn't have those breakdowns. IMHO.

nah its good to still notice the influences, like ofcourse i noticed they had eastern influences they have sections with flamenco guitar and sitars and all kinds of interesting shit, just people get so fussed about which little sub genre they can pull the band into,im sure the band likes to think they are more diverse than being put into some minute subbranch of a sub genre of a genre. obviously they are great musicians and are experimentingbut however you look at it they're great

Melodic Death, Deathcore, Metalcore......I don't even know what the difference is between all these sub-genres, but the truth is: it doesn't matter. Metal is metal is metal. There's no point in arguing about what band belongs to which sub.

I mean, come on! Are there screaming/growling vocals? Are there ripping guitars? Does the drummer use double kicks? Almost every band in all the sub-genres can answer yes to these questions, which means that arguing about this is stupid. Just enjoy the music!

Trust me, I know the difference between the major genres of music. Knowing where a certain band draws its influences is important. Like with this band: I can hear some Jazz, Latin and even Classical influences (more so in their instrumentals). Hell they even throw in some middle-eastern guitar riffs in there (check cimmerian shamballa).

My point is that sub-genres aren't all that important, and especially not important enough to argue over.
