  • Well I learned one thing... EVERYONE wore hats in 1903

  • London!! I love you!!!

  • This is great! Wish I could lip read. Saw on the tv once a lip reader reading from real WW1 footage it added something extra to the scene I love these movie fossils... any lip readers out there......

  • I have never seen so many hats in all my life.

  • I would stick out like a sore thumb walking dow petticoat lane circa 1903.

  • "Listen to this old bean, astonishingly, rather happy folk will be watching us cheering and smiling at this wonderful new technology in 108 years to come!"

  • amazing footage, life back then seems more appealing than today in someways, thumbs up for sure

  • 0:27 its the great-grandad of all annoying idiots who wave and call people behind reporters on tv!

  • Been there many times & most of it still looks old today .

    good find *

  • @DJBA55 yes only there are no English people left there today

  • Plenty of hats wearers there.nice to see that the women were probably at homee looking after the dinner & children unlike nowadays.

  • @locsman too right lol!

  • yeah my ancestors could be in this film wow and the way they all pose for the camera . They must be wondering what it is or maybe wondering how long before they make star wars

  • hello

do you think that ole woman at the end is dead now

  • hello

  • yes ,I noticed the lack of Women ......all at home cooking the Dinner !!!

  • where were all the women?

  • Too funny, not a petticoat in sight :)

  • People were so well dressed back then. Shows a kind of respect for public life.

Could you imagine anyone mooning or being rude...probably...as they'd probably avoid the dodgy areas just as they do today.

  • Absolutely amazing.

  • Truly fantastic footage of london liverpool streets ,petticoat lane, my mum and dad used to shop there back in the 50s brilliant. more !more!

  • this is so interesting, they all are so intrested about the carmera lol, i might have seen a relative

  • Astonishing footage of Middlesex St. And fascinating to see how 100 years ago many of the traders seem to be Jewish. Really important to have a record of the old Jewish East End. Are there any other films showing the Jewish community? Thanx

  • @twyborn29 All of the traders were are and likely always will be jewish.

  • @twyborn29 I'm sorry but Jews have destroyed not only this country but every other country in the West. It all goes back to the 1600s and the formation of central banks across Europe, from that point on Jews secured monopoly power over the banks and subsequently the nation's capital. Once you control the money, you direct the policy and from there a domino effect takes over with each industry and service gradually falling under Jewish control. Once in power Jews ravaged every good thing in sight

  • a great glimpse into the ghosts of the past. youtube is genius.

  • Really fantastic! I love this era...That what we call here in France the "Belle Epoque"!

You Tube is a time machine! ^^

  • Staggeringly clear footage for it's age. Many thanks for posting it.

  • I love how they all freeze and pose! Apart from the guy who's selling.. wonder what :)

  • These are so amazing. They've given me a great amount of enjoyment. Thank you so much.

  • this is fabulous, you can see the jewish connection with the name Isaacs and in one scene also at sydney street, I believe there was the seige of Sydney street wasnt there back around 1915

  • @JohnATcgfap

    Sydney St. seige 1912-W.S.Churchill was

    home secretary.

  • This is amazing footage! Please can you include more of these very early films about our city! Thanks
