Yes, I think the MAV riding needs to be patched. From what I understand they did something similar in BC2 and they patched that so why not patch it for BF3? Roadkills on the other hand, I could go either way. It is annoying but I don't die from them regularly. But the frag ammo for the shotguns does seem a bit much since all people really do with them is camp hallways and stairways. Hell, maybe I need to start carryin' a shotgun more often if thats how its gonna be hahaha

@totuyoijuju You are misinformed. The MAV is an actual motion sensor from Honeywell. It is way bigger than a football, and would most definitely kill you if hit at top speed. (in the head of course). This has been allowed in BFBC2, it never got patched, it is part of the game. Deal with it, or go play MW3. CRying gets you where

Also, armor isnt always available/worn. Youtube is not the place to try improve the game, go to EA or DICE to complain-see what they say to you.

It's overpowered if you're giving your team constant spotting and motion sensor, while also being able to run people over and not possibly even get killed. (In rush). And all it takes is someone with an ammo pack, and you've got yourself an endless supply of MAVs.
I think the MAV should not be changed they should just put invisible walls over the fence or whatever to close it and make it impossible to get through. The MAV elevation is just fun most of the time and gets you killed anyways.

I hate recon, it's a troll class. There are good recon players that play the objective. But more often then not recon players are trolls. Some camp 2 miles away and don't really contribute. Others are annoying trolls that do nothing but roadkill with the MAV. Others exploit the radio beacon so they can parachute onto tall objects where they wouldn't normally be able to go. Others ride a MAV up to tall objects that they wouldn't normally be able to go. It's hard not to hate on the recon class.

i dont think it should be prevented, it bring a new perspective to the map. when i am sniping i want to be on a spot where the enemy least expect me to be and the MAV makes that possible, but i must say: they should fix the out-of-the-map glitches with and without the MAV.

@01Lagger well then they need to change the hit boxes, because I can't even run an enemy over with a jeep without going straight through them. I can say the same for the MAV. I've tried it and out of all the times I've tried, I only got two kills. The hitboxes should be altered to where its not as random as it is now.

Looking at Metro from underground... Wow. It's a wide open space with a few options, then BAM tight hallways with no flanks. Then hey... More open space huh? It's a very weird map design, Wave 1 and 4 are good, 2 and 3 are just silly.
It shouldn't be possible... Thanks to several people posting videos about it, on how to get on tall buildings with no stairs, almost every game I join has at least one person doing it. urgh.

There is no way that a small recon drone will be able to lift a person off the ground or kill someone for that matter. You might get a bruise from it but that's about it.

I absolutely LOVE riding the MAV. In bc2 we had the ability to hide in trees and if someone wants to come at me on Tehran HW on the bridge then lets have at it. Its not cheating beacause anyone can do it and mostly only snipers do it
I found a large green square of land to the right of C flag and I used the mav to go under and take me up.... The I ran out of bounds and right before it died a large hill... Like tehran highway showed up but it was full of color and it was beautiful. Go check it out it's pretty crazy. Also I you zoom in on the planes they are generic grey and the wings propellers are spinning
This is way worse than the video makes it out to be. You can actually cap c flag from underground, and you can even kill the enemies if you fire enough at them from under c flag.
I'm still waiting for them to fix that annoying glitch where if you die and respawn while your MAV is still alive on the battlefield, upon respawn the MAV self-destructs and you do not get given another one.
It's pretty irritating that unless the enemy spot and shoot my MAV out I only get a MAV every second life if I play recon, and the MAV is pretty much the only reason to play recon.
Also good luck trying to get blind support players to give you an ammo box for another MAV. :/
@thetute59 It is a team based game, however a large portion of the player base of any multiplayer game are nooby people who don't really know what's going on around them, so getting them to drop an ammo box for you can be a challenge a lot of the time.
@DibbzTheLoner I know I know :P I played bf3 alot, but I just wanted to point out how teamplay can be pretty rare in bf3... The times I really enjoyed bf3 alot was when I had a squad which was playing together (SQD-Leader was giving orders and everyone followed it). We also balanced kits + sqd Perks, to play our best. I think there was more teamplay in bc2... :-/

MAV'ing so you can access high buildings should not be possible. Only noobsnipers that dont PTFO do that. Also, did you find this particular glitch in metro yourself?
Get rid of it. Every map mav riders just camp whatever the highest point on the map is. That leads to less players playing, not just the objective, but pretty much the game. It's dumb, it takes away form the entertainment of playing the game.
This isn't game breaking because you can only spot and suppress enemies. Don't encourage DICE to take the fun out of this game and make everyone play like tryhards.
DICE should only patch spots where you can get out of the map. All else is acceptable. I don't think flying on top of a building is cheating, because you can be EASILY taken out with a mortar.

I Personally love the mav it can give u an advantage is certain situations example when get spawn trapped on terhan highway in the spawn closest to c instead of wasting tickets trying to get through the tanks and hmgs and can simple get on the bridge and get to a using the mav elevator though u have a point shown in the vid not everyone is going to be wasting their time going under the map to not get kills.

I think you should be able to ride the MAV but not be able to go outside of certain boundaries. MAVs are just chicken noodle soup.

I absolutely LOVE riding the MAV. In bc2 we had the ability to hide in trees and if someone wants to come at me on Tehran HW on the bridge then lets have at it. Its not cheating beacause anyone can do it and mostly only snipers do it

I found a large green square of land to the right of C flag and I used the mav to go under and take me up.... The I ran out of bounds and right before it died a large hill... Like tehran highway showed up but it was full of color and it was beautiful. Go check it out it's pretty crazy. Also I you zoom in on the planes they are generic grey and the wings propellers are spinning

This is way worse than the video makes it out to be. You can actually cap c flag from underground, and you can even kill the enemies if you fire enough at them from under c flag.

I'm still waiting for them to fix that annoying glitch where if you die and respawn while your MAV is still alive on the battlefield, upon respawn the MAV self-destructs and you do not get given another one.
It's pretty irritating that unless the enemy spot and shoot my MAV out I only get a MAV every second life if I play recon, and the MAV is pretty much the only reason to play recon.
Also good luck trying to get blind support players to give you an ammo box for another MAV. :/

@thetute59 It is a team based game, however a large portion of the player base of any multiplayer game are nooby people who don't really know what's going on around them, so getting them to drop an ammo box for you can be a challenge a lot of the time.

@DibbzTheLoner I know I know :P I played bf3 alot, but I just wanted to point out how teamplay can be pretty rare in bf3... The times I really enjoyed bf3 alot was when I had a squad which was playing together (SQD-Leader was giving orders and everyone followed it). We also balanced kits + sqd Perks, to play our best. I think there was more teamplay in bc2... :-/

Get rid of it. Every map mav riders just camp whatever the highest point on the map is. That leads to less players playing, not just the objective, but pretty much the game. It's dumb, it takes away form the entertainment of playing the game.
No MAV riding, EVA.

DICE should only patch spots where you can get out of the map. All else is acceptable. I don't think flying on top of a building is cheating, because you can be EASILY taken out with a mortar.
