  • Hmm, they'll go down faster than a balloon full of lead.

  • Ummm this isn't 1968 this is in Denmark I believe & it's April or may 1969.

  • I've been on both sides of this song. Once I left after I could not stand it anymore. Another time, she left, but said I was great, but that she wanted to keep moving. Powerful message. Great song.

  • Everyone in the audience was very lucky to be there. God bless tinternet

  • Very very best!

  • 6:45

The audience member in the white shirt on the right is like "umm, did anyone else jizz there pants from awesomeness?"

  • This is one of the best songs Zepplin did...among all the others! lol

  • amazinggggg

  • baby baby baby oOoOooooooohhh

  • what a feeling!!!!!!!!

  • One of the best videos ever!

  • Its a shame all their live shows weren't this tight......Youth has its advantages. Long Live LED ZEPPELIN!!!!!

  • @sm6860 When they were sober, they were absolutely unparalleled. Unfortunately, especially as time went on, they weren't always sober.

  • @sm6860 However, their later shows were equally awesome in different ways... heroine has it's advantages too...

  • Long live the Almighty Zep.

  • i am just amazed that this incredible video was made and that it has lasted all these year. just incredible. i watch it over and over and think what it must have been like to be there live.

  • the 3rd best rock group ever!!!!!!!!

  • This is actually March 1969

  • Anyone know, is this the first time they played together in front of a live audience, which would have been 7-Sept-1968?

  • yes,yes...YES!!!!!

  • most epic haircuts ever.

  • 4 dislikes???I don't believe this

  • @carrietide Those are all the uptight Christians who think this is the music of the devil.

  • @TheJSExperience

If the devil had music, it would be dubstep.

  • Boy I bet RP got the chicks!

  • damn! performances like this one are the reason why I need them to invent time travel once and for all!!!

  • such a band and musicians its sad that you dont see this anymore cmon people lets bring this back

  • @juliocesar1056 yeah I really love this part!! awesome...I can feel the emotion

  • this song is a farewell to marijuana ... it's a ritual when you are not going to smoke more in your life ...

  • OMG! What a voice!!! It's the most powerfull voice ever!!

  • 1969

  • God gave us Led Zeppelin to give us a taste of Heaven. Those who understand know what I'm saying. Those who don't, I'm sorry.

  • @metgot1971 I understand you perfectly. Pure Genius = Led Zep!

  • @metgot1971 Amen

  • wow they are all high as fuck

  • oh my god!!! I'm just in love with this video how is it possible to have such an amazing voice robert plant is incredible and I think there is no many artists who can sing like that in live wow I'm just speechless and the song is just great, I can't stop watching and listening it I think led zeppelin is like drug!!! Bravo

  • they're all so young!! Plant and Bonham are 20 here, Jones is 22, and Page is 24. Even so early into the awesomeness that is Zeppelin, they are giving their all. I'm 18 and a girl who loves Zep more than everything. What I'd give for a time machine...

  • @randompandemic2 Haha ... me too. I'm only 15, and I just got into them 2 years ago .... I haven't looked back.

  • If you had the Devil covering your arse you wouldn't give a shit about the 'correct distribution of royalties' either..I doubt !! Peace Rx

  • Those 4 dislikes are women that were left.

  • September 7, 1968: Jimmy Page's new band, Led Zeppelin (formerly the New Yardbirds) make their live debut at Teen Club Box 45 in Gladsaxe, Denmark. ☺

  • Absolutely excellent.

  • the lyrics is different in this version... but i liked it! :D

  • My god how could those people just sit there, so close to that power? If I were that close I would run up screaming trying to fuck all four of them simultaneously AND NOT SIT THERE AND SIMPLY GAWK! Jeez...I mean that close to Led Zeppelin is like being that close to the key of life.

  • @Dandyincursive Would you like to come to one of my gigs !!!???? RX

  • was this the year they formed and under the name the new yardbirds ?

  • @sticksformetal Read my post above yours. ☺

  • i gotta have alot of respect for page and his classical picking technique only trendy faggots say that people like hendrix is so much better heck any1 with any knowledge knows that plant isnt anywhere near close either

  • this is just.... perfect!!

  • Yeah so Robert Plant was still like 19 when this was filmed. OMG . I have yet to see someone with such a powerful, amazing, fabulous voice like his, no matter how old!

  • Did they pass out Quaaludes to the audience before this song?

And why did the camera start out on Jonesy?

  • 4 people were left by robert plant

  • Awesome!

  • 4 people are unhappy.

  • Que originalidad, que tema. La mejor banda de todos los tiempos. Poca electrónica por eso son los mejores atraves de los tiempos

  • Not only is this the greatest song of all time, Zeppelin is the greatest band of all time. EPIC!!!

  • At 2:43 John is thinking: "HOLY SHIT THE RYTHMIC PATTERNS ARE AALL UNLOCKING IN MY HEAD!!!!!! IVE SEEN THE ANSWERS NONE COULD FIND!!!"

  • 1969.. not 68

  • We wanted to make a Cover Band few years before. But trying to reach the original is like to try to reach God.

  • Wow Plant's voice...and Bonham's drumming...

  • Jones looks like he's never pick up a bass guitar before-

  • @TheEDZEPPELINBAND He looks bored to death.

  • I think you may have got it mixed up.. This is actually 1969, not '68. They did play in this same Teen Club in 68 though, which is why you may have been confused. Thanks for the great upload though!!

  • Love the way Jimmy's left hand is up and down the neck and you can HEAR him switching ranges even when you can't see what he's doing,... Plant's disregard for the lyric reading on the recording makes it clear: this song is NOT about lyrics per se; it's about interpretation, about FEEL. The FEEL of heavy rock was what this band was about, along with their ability to interpret a ballad -- and both are well-represented here.

  • I love Robert's voice

  • 69, not 68.

  • nothing better than led zeppelin in the beginning.

  • Better as any drug

  • this song is soo amazing only cuz of its origionallity and because he DOESNT LIP SING!!

  • this song is soo amazing only cuz of its origionallity and pecause he DOESNT LIP SING!!

  • The day of my funeral, this song have to be playing while they are taking me... home...

  • OMG I am 40 and I just realise I am born 10 years too late ..

  • @Bullvision Guess what? I am 16 and I just realise I am born like 55 years too late!

  • @xoxoLal : Being 16 and considering this as a masterpiece : God has blessed you for sure !

  • @xoxoLal : Being 16 and considering this as a masterpiece : God has blessed you for sure !

  • @Bullvision LOOL im born fucking 60 years to fucking late.

  • @Bullvision Yea people like jeff bridges who are born around 1950 got all the best stuff, but at least we're born after they made they're music :)

  • 3:19 - Take a look at Bonham's legs; it looks so chaotic but the drumming is simply amazing

  • absolute masterpiece. not to mention unbelievable live vocals!!!!!!!!

  • this one of the best performance I've ever seen...its perfection.

  • I WAS 8 YEARS OLD!!!!!!!!!! .... AMAZINGGGGGGGGGGGGG

  • Babyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy I'm gonna leaveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

    Babyyyyyyyyyyyyyy Babyyyyyyyyyyyy Babyyyyyyyyyy !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This whole little concert thing is sooo beyond great !!! My favourite Led Zeppelin live and this song is what drugg me into it when I first got the Led Zeppelin DVD. If you pay attention... the lyrics are intended as if hes talking to two different woman. The first one hes leaving but the last two verses are for his first love or whatever , the , "been soo long , its been soo long" part . FUCKING EPIC!!!!!!

  • this music is like art, different every time they perform or record it

  • @informationwarfare lol music IS art, didnt you know that?

  • @dreamfuelz yea but some is shit, when i say art i mean good art

  • I love the first verse how he just didnt give a shit that he fucked up the lyrics, such an awesome song.

  • experienced that while performing music to people haha

  • the yr my brother was born, luvallwho read this!,

  • their hair is envious

  • GOD HOW I WISH I COULD HAVE DRUMS AND PLAY THE SONG RIGHT NOW

I WOULD BE SOOO MUCH HAPPIER

  • @oconnorjoe

they would all be uber high. but yes.

  • Loved this epic video...thats one lucky crowd. This is the kind of Robert Plant singing that would make you get up and leave a naked hot girl during sex to go be apart of...EPIC

  • they are very high

  • Led Zepellin is The reason, the because and why i love rock..

  • @FreeLanceWarrior you're so fuckin right dude. when i looked at it again that was all i could picture him saying. haha

  • Holy SHIT Bonzo's right foot o_O

  • this is before rock music was pussyfied . Robert Plant was about 20 years old here but he sang like a man that has seen everything and been everywhere. people matured quick back then. today you got rockbands with pretentious douchebag vocalist that sound like whiny high schoolers that havent hit puberty.

  • 3:00 Robert plant still sounds amazing even when he voice cracks!

  • @hurricaneofrock Yeah watching him look upward after his voice cracks was priceless ! It's just another little moment that makes it all the memorable @3:00

  • Robert plants smiles at 3:06 because his voice cracked.

  • @JDALIVETUBE Oh haha I didn't notice that was a voice crack! I just thought he went all high because he damn well wanted to XD and then smiled because he's so awesome. haha your version sounds more plausible though XD

  • Well, they should've given credit to the original songwriter, which I think they did later, but dang--this is just a gorgeous arrangement, and the guitar is so beautiful it brings tears to my eyes.

  • weren't they still the 'new yardbirds' at this time?

  • ya and its not like the stones, beatles, who and Hendrix did any covers lol.

  • @FreeLanceWarrior that is funny...I was wondering what that was about, I love them no matter what though

  • this aint plagiarism!! this is very orignal material! joan baez version is completely different! page arrangement is so beautiful! the lyrics r same but they r also quiet simple! the gr8 thing about this song is melody and plant singing!

  • @ozair16 not a baez song. nothing but the blues

  • @juniorsgv88 its by anne bredon, it was first recorded by joan baez and then it was adapted by jimmy page with a blues-rock touch :)

  • @ozair16 And actually joan baez its not the real creator of the song...

  • @xroax yeah i knw, its written by anne bredon, but it was first performed by joan baez

  • Fantastic! That's one of my favorite songs of all time it gave me chills watching it. Thanks so much for posting this

  • The great thing about this band is that you really love each member. The only other band I can think of that i love each member would have to be the clash.

  • @PBANDSNOW That's so true... They've all been my favorite at some point, but right now I can't decide between Page or Bonzo...

  • @SpiirytStarrchild I like page most. For me its Page, Plant, Bonzo, JPJ

  • i would trade my life and soul to be at that concert

  • my lifes work is to have Robert's hair....might take a while

  • @numba5mvp I wish you luck ;)

  • this term is slang for the best

  • Plant is so handsome here.

    I'll love this song forever.

    <3

  • You can't steal Songs. Either you write something that sounds like something else - which is to be let alone; Or You cover another song - and let every one know who wrote it.

If you change a song - you share it, as it then basically is Two compositions in one.

Sying that someone else has stolen an aspect of your "creation" and taking them to court - Is like suing a painter for portraying the same motive as you.

The Problem is that the law supports this insanity ...

  • Sure they borrowed from others as many bands apparently did in that era. I'm not defending it but I bet their manager Peter Grant was behind them not giving full credit. If they didn't rewrite, rearrange and perform the songs so well. They would never have become so famous and no one would care. They still wrote a lot of totally original and great songs. Not sure why people who hate them even watch these videos? You won't see me watching Rap videos and making comments :)

  • I just realised after many viewings of this video that Page had a pick in his mouth until 5:45 or so

  • @omgiTsmeJon yeah so he could do the fingerpicking part i do it quite a bit.
