extreme G was the first game I had with the 64 and I too had the memory card issue where it wouldnt save my progress but I was so little i thought I was done after winning the atomic cup... but there was one night when i beat the whole thing and it felt like it took forever but in reality it was a matter of 40 min... but I remember being the happiest kid in the world at that moment.
when I first got my n64 it didn't come with a memory pack for somereason so I had to look up the cheat codes for this game and whenever I see this game I think of 81GGD5 for some reason... :D
Well, to your friend I would say: graphics don't make the game. Remember too, that what constitutes a "good game" is different to everybody. Some ppl will be nintendo fans who play Super Mario, Zelda, and Metroid. Others will prefer Microsoft and Sony's products just b/c they put out the kinds of games that are more for their styles of gaming. But good graphics don't always equal a good game. Super Mario 64 is considered a classic (for good reason) and look at its graphics.
@Beta311:yeah graphics never make a game but i most people prefer COD and other FPS these days for good reasons wht reasons you ask I do not know but eh its everybodies opinion right.
i remember this game as a kid, i lost the cartridge though :[ n64 probably my most favorite game system, just wished there was online play. then this game would be alive more.
Ah man, I miss this. I really wish they'd make another one, especially one like the first one. Extreme G III was also great, but I prefer the gameplay of Extreme G. Imagine how awesome the online play would be for this! :)
Yea, Acclaim never could make sequels as good as the original (Turok anyone?). I played XG3 on gamecube, I thought it was terrible in comparison (boost wears down your shield.. copy FZero more...).
I played it on Gamecube as well. And wow, I don't even remember the boost wearing down your shield. That is lame! I enjoyed XG3, but it wasn't something I could play all the time after I beat it a couple of times. The first one was much better, I agree.
