does being a "good drummer" mean you play "cool gigs" that no one has played before? or does being a good drummer mean that you can actually play? because if a drummer is judged by his gigs and not his talent, then that means youre fucking amazing!

what gigs u play is irrelevant. I played a huge venue when I was a beginner but that didn't make me good and neither does it make u good but it's difficult for beginners like yourself to judge what's good and what's not. But it'll come with experience, believe me...
I stand by my comment and opinion of Mr. Blackwell's playing. I've been playing professionally, not a day job like you, for many years. How you play isn't as important as what you play. Please Mr. "Sabiano", may I see a video of you playing?
