  • Love it! Are you using a purple brown color? Or is it the lighting?? It looks beautiful with your eye color!!

  • This has been so very helpful! I always do my makeup like that! Thank you :-)

  • I loved this look!! Thanks for sharing it!

  • She does have hooded eyes! There are different degrees to which your eyes can be hooded. Her hood may not completely cover her eye, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have one.

Beautiful job! Thank you for the tutorial. :)

  • You don't have hooded eyes.

  • Nice! Thank you!

  • you dont have hooded eyes hahaha, i have hooded eyes and i have much less space than you do!

  • Your lashes are gorgeous and you're telling me max factor LEFT? D:

  • The best make-up tutorial for hooded eyes I've seen so far, and believe me, I've been looking! :) Thank's for sharing.

  • You're seriously so pretty &you work wonders! I've never been able to do my makeup without me feeling like it looks too much (b/c of hooded eyes), this helped so much! Thank you!&question! Does that Urban Decay liner smudge?

  • wow. this was very helpful :) thank you!

  • very pretty!

  • I have a problem with this. The same as you, I have very small lid space showing, and putting such a light color on th elid against such a dark color on the hood, accentuates the fact I, or you, have small eyes. Myeb a medium color on the lid and a darker color on the hood would work better

  • Pretty :)

  • you did a great job with this tutorial i really appreciated all the tips. thanks:)

  • Thank you so much!! this really helped!!! your eyes are really pretty btw :)

  • It dont look to me like you have a hooded eye......

  • Thankyou for taking the time!!

    Your eyes looked great.

  • is the shadow insurance the same as primer??

  • You're really beautiful!!! :D

  • okay love your nail polishh

  • THANK YOUU:)

  • Thankyou doll. xxo love, from Australia.

  • omg your eyes are beautiful

  • i love your eye color! what color is that? it doesn't look blue, grey, or even green o_o I'M SO JEALOUS DX

  • Thanks sooo much! I'm 34 years old, and to this day have not been able to locate a proper smokey tutorial for hooded eyes!! I can stop looking now!! Thanks again!

  • Thank you so much for creating this tutorial for hooded eyes! (I only just today learned what my eye shape was called.) I'm so glad you didn't use eyeliner on the top lid because I have a SEVERE hooded eye and can't afford to use the space. This was a great tutorial and I've saved it to my favorites for help!

  • Hhahahah yeyo, thats a very creative name for white eyeliner.

  • this was a very well done tutorial, one of the simplest smokey eyes that I have ever seen and slight enough for daytime, thanks for being a great makeup artist with hooded eyes!

  • Really helpful!

  • Thank you so much!! I've always seen and done it the opposite way- with the white near the brow and dark at the eye, makes it even worse! It almost made me want to cry when I tried this out. Made a world of difference. I've always worn eye makeup and it always looked like it disappeared and pictures I've had taken look like I have no eye makeup on at all even professionally done! Finally, someone who knows what they're doing. I love this!!

  • Hey thanks for this video! I have struggeled with my stupid eyes and tried everything to make them look good, with bad results.

This technique looks super easy and pretty. I'm gonna try it!

  • BEST tutorial on hooded eyes, hands down! Thanks for your effort, you have beautiful eyes! :)

  • omg! you made it look like your eyes arent hooded at all! :-O

    and its GORGEOUS!

  • Absolutely beautiful. Thank you. Never really knew what to do with my darned hooded eyes (can't wait to get older and even more hooded), but this is a beautiful look. Here's hoping!

  • When I was younger, I always wondered why I couldn't wear eyeshadow like my friends. . . (I don't think any of my friends have hooded eyelids like I do. . . they're genetic and my Grandfather had them.) - but this looks REALLY great and I would love to try it out. :) Thank you so much.

  • May i know what contacts are you wearing?? thanks :-) n what a beautiful look! keep up the good work!!

  • Thanks so much. I can't wait to try out the look!

  • great video - I learned alot!

  • AYY ! Ayo For Yayo ! Lol , Like This Comment If You Know What I Meaan ! ;)

  • oh wow I have the exact same eye shape wideness and everything! thank you! can u do one for pple who have glasses with the same eyes?

  • wow i just about gave up wearing eyeyshadow until I found this!! thanks so much!!

  • I LOVED this tutorial. The colors you used were so pretty. You also had some great tips- I never thought to mix white eyeliner w/ darker eyeliner and I never thought to put eyeliner on my upper water line. I can't wait to try this look. Again thanks for this video!!

  • Wow, I really liked this tutorial :-) My eyes are even more hooded but that look maybe can work for me too? And that tip you gave in the end, that you can make a little wing without have eyeliner on the lid as well, was a great tip. Because that's one of my problems, I can't have eyeliner on my lid because it make my lid look smaller.

  • Thanks for years I have struggled with my hooded eyes and yours are so similar to mine with the high eyebrows. I never knew how to fill them all in! I'll just have to get a better blender blush. Really helpful thankyou :)

  • What nail polish are you wearing?

  • I'm glad that you kept it matte. There are too many gurus who have not taken the care to realize that their viewers do not always have their creases near their socket. Awesome!

  • Your hooded eyes are beautiful! No need to deemphasize the fact that they are hooded, embrace them pretty girl!! :)

  • AWESOME! I'm doing my Mom and an Aunt's make up tomorrow and they are both, apparently (LOL), older women with hooded eyes. This really helped me get a good idea of how to do that. ALSO, I wanted to share a trick I learned from a make up artist on how to blend your shadow when you feel like you're still having a harsh line. Take a blending brush and your face powder and go over the edges. All your blending issues as well as any mistakes will disappear! Thanks again.

  • Awesome info!!! Keep up the good work....

  • This is the best hooded eye tutorial for me... easy and simple tips... thanks for that!

  • This has to be one the top 3 make up tutorials ever for me. Very beautiful but PRACTICAL. The eyeliner wing was such a great idea. Very wearable day to night on a hot summer day. I think I will try this look in a couple of weeks when I visit Disneyland. Thanks

  • Lovely work, girl! And beautiful eyes too!

  • great tips :0)

  • i think you should def go for a brown eyeliner/mascara instead of black cause black closes and defines (not in a good way on smaller eyes). just a tip! <3

  • Freestyle has a good point. I think you'd really look great with a soft brown eyeliner. You closed up your eyes (a little bit) when you applied the harsh, black liner. I LOVE the lid color.

Thanks for helping us "hooded eye" gals.

    Linds

  • It's so hard to apply eyeliner to my top lashline, it doesn't show up when i open it.

  • Great tips! Thanks so much;

  • thanks for these tips!

i hate my hooded eyes. and my brow bone is low too! so my eyeliner always rubs off onto my brow bone as the day goes on. any tips for that? its really annoying.

  • again i love your vid1 but.. im like younger and i think it might look like a lil to much make up.. and i was woundering if you could make a smokey eye shadow thing just just like 13-15 yr olds <3 thanks like email me back plzz<3

  • I recently realized that I had hooded eyes and have unknowingly thought for years that my eyes looked better with a light lid just like you did here. And I also use studio tools brushes and they're amazing for $2. They're right up there with ELF brushes for my favorite cheap brushes.

  • eyes look like yours! i always had problems wearing eyeshadow! Thank you!

  • VERY helpful!

    thank you!

  • love your video! it's awesome it's really pretty to.. i think it will work well! thank you <3

  • Some absolutely awesome tips here! Really well explained too, thank you :D

  • This is a really amazing tutorial! I always thought there was something wrong with my eyelids until I found out that other girls have hooded eyes, as well. (I've even got the wrinkled lids :-S)

Your tips have really revolutionized my eye makeup, I'm even using my old brushes more effectively. Not to mention, using your technique, I've gotten tons of compliments on my makeup recently. Thank you, thank you, thank you! ♥

  • THANK YOU, I have always had hooded eyes, love your hooded eye video, please do more!!

  • really great tips.

  • Thank You!!

  • finally a hooded eye tutorial from someone with hooded eyes! ive been watching all the YT gurus for years and have collected so much eyemakeup and nothing ever looked right on me. i've always had this eyeshape and I love makeup but I get down on myself for not looking the same as "everyone else" even though i think hooded eyes are sexy. i want to look good in makeup. so thank you!

  • MOST lovely!! I have somewhat hooded eyes too. Your makeup looks GREAT! :)

  • Thanks for the liner idea. I have super hooded eyes. An liner always look weird on the lid, im going to try this out!

  • Thank you so much i thot i was the only one at school who couldnt do makeup because i have hooded eyes! :( thank you!!!

  • Great! Loving your t'ude

  • great vid! 5 stars (=

    love it!

  • i have hooded eyes and im proud so fuck the haters lol

  • your eye color is so different and pretty!

  • thank yoU!

  • Thanks for this tutorial!^^ Does this also work for really hooded eyes? The fold comes down all the way to my lashes ! (though i'm only 20years old, I was born with it!) xx

  • yup this should work for any eye especially hooded. Just make sure not to put any liner on your top lashline, tightline between the lashes from underneath to get a lined effect without taking up lid space:)

  • Your eyes look very pretty. What product did you use to make the little wings on the side? I tried to read the name on the tube. You said it was a liquid eyeliner/ I have hooded eyes and am 50+. So far I have not been able to do the winged eyes and was wondering what you used?

  • I'm sorry i forgot to put that in! lol it's actually a little Wet n WIld Mega Eyes liner (MAC Penultimate dupe) that i was trying out. It's decent if you like marker-type liners.

  • i've watched a lot of hooded eye tutorials and i've seen vids where you put white on the upper lid, but they really slather on the white... however, you put the teeniest amount and i love it! i think this technique will work for me. typically, i just swipe the lid color above my crease so it'll show through when my eye is open, but i think i'm going to start using my Yeyo liner now. thanks so much!

  • i personally find that Yeyo is only good for that and i'm a die-hard 24/7 fan lol. glad it helped!

  • Thank you very very much for posting the tutorials for hooded eyes. I can't wait for more posts!!! I also have hooded eyes and small :-( and now I can learn how to wear my makeup correctly.

  • I just noticed today that my eyes we're hooded :(

boo! But I love this look, I'll try it and hopefully it will work for me..

  • why boo? don't boo! lol. everyone's eyes are obviously different and the only inconvenient thing about hooded eyes is that the traditional techniques don't always work and need tweaking for your shape. I am probably going to a few more hooded eye vids as the quality of this one really sucked. haha

  • lol!!

I would love to see more makeup looks for hooded eyes..

There is not many videos on youtube for them.

  • haha! me too! i just realized that my eyes were hooded once i saw this vid. i always wondered why my eyeshadow didnt come out like other tutorials...now i know. this is a great vid with some really good tips! please keep them coming!

  • lol!

  • I have to say, you've got really nice tips there :) I've got some reeeeaaaally hooded eyes, like, if I put even the thinnest eyeliner line on my lids it looks like I've got that color eyeshadow on my whole eyelid.. So I've never known actually how to work well with my eyes :(

You've helped alot! :D thanks veeery much! :)

  • definitely glad to help!

  • beautiful eyes and make up! very useful too!

  • thank you:)

  • Ohhhhhhhhh love it. I have hooded eyes and need as much help as I can get. Please do more tutorials. I love it!

  • thanks:) I'll definitely be doing more tuts soon:)

  • Thank you soooo much for doing videos on hooded eyes!! I've found it so hard to apply most of the makeup tutorials to myself because of my hooded eyes. please keep giving tips for hooded eyes.
