Strange about all elevators over there for me is it have beep signs every level it's passing. I never heard that over here. Over here there are only signals arriving at a level and sometimes for leaving a level but never a sound signal for every level where the elevators isn't about to stop. Although nice video's!
Nice elevator. I think they should have gone with Gen2 though. I agree with you, the fan isn't bad at all. I didn't even hear it until the final part of the video.
I think the fire door is only required to be kept closed if there was an actual fire, to prevent the fire from spreading. If the fire alarm went off, the magnet would be automatically disabled, causing the door to close by itself anyways.
Cool! I live in Illinois. I love those new Holiday Inn Expresses and the one I was at also had an Otis elevator. My library has these exact elevators.
Awesome looking hotel! Did you stay here, or in your truck? What time of night was this filmed? I just say that because all the guest room lights were off. My main question: why is it a "no-no" to have a fire door propped open?

What's nice about MPE's is that the doors can be open, and they still work.
Nice elevators, mechanical, and MPE.

Otis door timers are interesting. They are usually VERY short.
