7th grade. RS 1964 in Fresno on a track field, Sat morning 11. Byrds opening act. RS arrived in an armoured car...played 3 songs and then the crowd went nuts and jumped onto the field. The Stones got back into the armoured car, laughing, and drove away.

Their 1st Calif riot.

Rear view tickets $1.50. Front view $3.00.

(A Mc Donalds cheeseburger was 18 cents). Adjust for inflation = about $8-$19.

Yeah. The song 'Reelin and a Rocking' drove us so crazy we all jumped over the railing to get closer to the 2 foot high bandstand. It was funny as hell. Good thing they had that Brinks armoured truck ready and waiting. haha.

There is an 8mm film, in circulation called "Riot in Fresno & Long Beach". I wish someone would post it here on YouTube.
