  • amazing - needed o state it once again! :)

  • incredible melody: simple and amazing. i found this video last year - and return to it when I`m feeling bad - it helps me to relax

  • dude i dont care what any of the haters say,I dig your tone and your playing, these assholes would probly say hendrix sucks because he doesnt drop tune and rectify, love the vintage vibe of your playing, and the tone is just superb, just one question because in the 70s strat were kinda hit or miss as far good bad or great ,which do you prefer your reissue 70s strat or your real 70s strat?Ive been kicking around the idea of buying a 70s vintage one and thought maybe the reissue have better quality

  • how much are these babys?

  • nice guitar!

  • Good job on the video and playing!

  • Damn... really nice .. i have 70's classic too.. same colour as ur's with the black pick guard.. nice man.. =)

  • Damn... really nice .. i have 70's classic too.. same colour as ur's ith the black pick guard.. nice man.. =)

  • horrible playing

  • i just watched your vids. you are a virgin arnt you.

  • @weavzy not until i met ur maw

  • @rtfan13 Ur fucking idiot, guy like U need die

  • @weavzy not till i met ur maw

  • @rtfan13 well my maw does look a lot like malmsteen. no wonder you wanted to fuck her.

  • @weavzy thats a shame did you not know your birthmother

  • nah, but i know yours real well. so do all my mates. she's a real pest. always ringing us up and begging us to root her. she's a pest your mum. tell her to fuck off.

  • @weavzy when do you realise you are arguing with a person half your age

  • @weavzy i actually like the playing, you've got a cool sound and all

  • @weavzy @rtfan13 how can you say he's playing is horrible, it's genius!

  • @rtfan13 please quiet children, the playing is good and you are a tool...

  • @weavzy so you didnt know your birth mum

  • @rtfan13 so mclovin, your a small little guy, i can tell because your guitar is almost as big as you, you hide behind the internet so you dont get hurt right? yea. you cant enjoy the beauty of a 70's strat, you have to demote someone with twice as much talent as you.

  • @JeffFiske first of all i actually say if i think someones bad in the real world so i dont really rely on the net for protection. secondly i would enjoy this strat if myself was playing it and finally mate if you cant hear that this guy is very sloppy or its "intended" this way then you know nothing about talent and i see you have no videos so be critical about yourself before others. good day

  • @rtfan13 "be critical about yourself before others." you reeeally need to take your own advice here. just saying, and i think we are done here, i dont want this talented musician (weavzy), not yourself, to be bugged.

  • @rtfan13 wow are you sure your a musition? people put effort into there peices and u just say there crap. we all have our styles. you leave ours just like we leace yours

  • who was playing that? hendrix? hahaa cool track man

  • amazing

  • Does somebody know when the 70's (sunburst and black) were made ?

    Thanks :)!

  • ended 06

  • @ACDCKissLuki proboably in the 70s

  • Comment removed

  • @ACDCKissLuki I believe 1976 they started using the black pickguards. Maybe as early as late 1975.

  • man, billy gibbons should be proud of you...awesome strat..I love the 70's headstock...

  • Each time i come hear to listen to your track : i'm always impressed by the tone, the playing, the style and the composition ; and each time i wish i had the mp3 to listen to and also to practice over it or even the bt , because it's really inspiring music.

    Cheers.

  • thanks brother. i recorded this a long time ago. so dont have the rhythm track anymore. i'm pretty sure it was just an A - G - F minor chord progression. glad you like it. its simple but alot of people seem to get a real feeling out of it.

  • @weavzy that's because it's an amazing soulful piece of music, really well done

  • Nice looks and sound. I like the red before it goes to black.

  • very sexy...

  • so washy.... I'm going take my shampoo :$

    (y)

  • i dont know what that means. is it a good thing?

  • x me yes.. it's like water falling sound .. i like it.. that's the means :)

  • aah. nice one . thanks

  • your very lucky, because i heard the reissues were just as bad as the Original 70's models. Very nice must of cost you a pretty penny to get it customized. I bought a relic'd JV 72 reissue on ebay. i hope it turns out ok.

nice wah wah riffs, a that guitar has a sweet sunburst.

  • its a beautiful guitar in every way. its not customized tho. i put the black plastic wear on myself. i've heard more good things about the riessues than i have the originals 70's. i think that the three bolt neck has a very bad reputation and this colors peoples opinion on 70's strat, original or reissue, but once you have the knack nof ajdusting them, the are fine. i now prefer them over 4 bolt, because of the micro tilt, you can get the neck exactly how you want it.

  • oh damn! i was gonna give it to you...

  • nice grain on the body dude

  • omg.. nice played, lovet that music, can u recoment the 70' ressiue strat, or is there anything i should know about it, plz tell me

Keep up the good work mate

  • the only thing you shpuld no about this guitar is how to use the micro tilt neck adjustment on it. a lot of them need a bit of tweaking when they come from the factory. once you have it set right you are in heaven. they are amazing guitars! but they dont make them in sunburst any more.

  • Its you who wrote that review on harmony-central right? :=)

  • yep thats me.

  • Love those big headstocks, And great sound too.

  • i love big headstock strats. i'll never pay money for a strat without one.

  • I'm very interested in a 70's era Strat like this one. How much did this particular one cost?

  • $3800 australian dollars.

  • Where can i get that backing track. Thanks

    oldmanguitar64

  • i recorded it all myself eccept for the drums.they were just a loop.

  • That is a bad ass recording you have soul i want to learn to play thatI would love to hear the whole thing could you send a cd?Thanks

  • i have been recording constantly for the last 5 years and am half way through my 7th album, but i just do it for fun. i print up cd's at home and give them to family and friends. it is just a hobby. i may post a few more tunes on youtube coz this one has had such a good response. thanks for the kind words.

  • nice amp cable!

  • Hey weazy,

I prefer the big headstock, too! But Jimi Hendrix playerd those Big Starts only in the last two years in his life! The big Headstock of the Strat came in ´69.All the time before the strats had those "normal" headstocks!

  • the big headstock came in in 1968. jimis woodstock strat and his balck beauty strat were both 68 made strats,so of the four years of his fame, it was really only 67 and a bit of 68 were he had small headstock strats. his black strats are the guitars which are most associated with jimi.

  • Hmmm.....okay!Then I was wrong....I always thought the Big Headstock came in 69,and the big logo in 70...but it seems like I was wrong!

  • nope..the big headstock came in 1966 Stratocaster. But the logo was a bit different from the 1968 stratocaster.

  • i don't like the way the stratocaster logo is so big and the entire headstock they sound great tho

  • ah yes! i am one of the rare off shoot of strat players that prefer the big headstock. I love that fat assesd logo. i have three strats and they all got big headstocks. wouldnt play them any other way! i geuss it comes from watching all those hendrix videos as a kid! HA!

  • yea i know wat ye mean iv got a sixtieth aniversery strat brand new but the headstock is nice and small and neat its just preferences really isn't it

but i wouldn't play anything else i have a tele too but havn't played it in ages

  • Weavzy Did You Really Do That Song?? Holy shit man its fucking nice dude.. i love your one and btw what a 70's beauty!

  • yeah man. its all me. glad you like it.

  • I meant to say your tone... on my last comment.

  • Nice!

I did have one of those US made 70's Classics myself, but I didn't like the neck. To fat for my taste, but the guitar itself was great.

  • i love the neck. i have big hands.

  • Absolutely one of the best clips i´ve ever heard, i´m a big fan of instrumentals you see... Where did you get that rhythm track (bass & drums), is it taken from internet?

And another thing, i´m planning to buy MIM 70´s classic strat, you said there is huge difference between american and mexican made so could you specify a little bit, i mean is it in the sound or playability? Woods, polyfinishing and tuners are the same i think. i know that fret finishing is better in american made strats...

  • the bass and guitars are me but the drums are a loop. not sure where i got it from. the woods are different in the 70's strat. th usa is swamp ash anthe mex is poplar i think. the usa has nitro paint and the mex has tone killing half inch thick normal paint. the genaral tone of the guitars are very different and i think the nitro paint has a lot to do with it. the neck on the usa is unbelievably awsome. where as the mex one is average at best. hope this was of some help.

  • actually the bosy on the classic 70s strat s ash to.and on the fender site the only finishes that they have for the usa one's are natural and olympic white so how did you get your in the sunburst?

  • dunno! i originally had a black one on order! but then i changed it to sunburst. i got mine when they first came out about a year and a half ago. maybe they have deleted some colors. i'll check it out at the site.

  • wow man! thats really weird! there is no mention of balck or sunburst ones on the site at all. the only thing is in the photo section there is a picture of a sunburst and anatural one standing next to each other near a case. i wonder if this means mine has just gone up in value?! i hope so. I have to try and find out more about this...thanks for the tip off! man...wish i'd bought a black one too now!!!

  • just got off the phone from fender. they said it is not uncommon for them to change color options year to year on certain models of guitars. the dude said that sunburst might come back next year. but it also may not. he also stated some what disapointingly on my behalf that this change would not in any way add any avalue to my guitar...they aparranly still have a lot of 3 color sunburst ones on the market an in warehouses ect.

  • thanks for the info:Pthat helped.I'm more of a dean guitar freck:D but thanks

  • Great playing! Does this guitar have a 7.25in neck radius?

  • i heard your penis is so small that it is classed as anti matter by the scientific community.

  • There are no 2 strats the same, its their discrepencies that give them character and make them unique intruments.Or am I being too kind?

  • stiring and accurate words my friend. couldnt agree more. i know it's a cliche but they all have different "voices". i believe it all comes down to minute inconsistancies between each one made and that a large part of tone is truly in the fingers of players.

  • Fuking great man1***Just great!&&&

  • AWESOME MATE ! SIMPLY AWESOME !

This track is hoooot ! I'v listened it like one hundred times lol. I was wondering what effect did you use to have this sweet weird fx and this fuzzy distorsion.

Thanks for this good music : I dig your style !

  • if your talking about the swirling effects inthe background, thas just some random guitar notes that i twisted up with heaps of flange, delay and chorus. i have a lot of pedals and i'm not real sure what distortion is on the guitar tracks.

  • Thank you bro ! I can't stop listening to your track. I wish i had it in mp3 :(. Don't hesitate to send it if you don't mind ;).

Take care and keep doing this good music. I stay tuned...

  • I like your song, it sounds kind of like Late-Hendrix Era stuff like "Pali Gap", and "Somewhere over the Rainbow"

  • nice guitar. ease up on the gain. otherwise awesome!

  • hey I just seen you in this months issue of guitar world

  • really? in the defenders of the faith section? i sent in a picture but i wony get it in australia for a month or so.

  • it sucks! unluckily i bought it junky construction! my mexican classic 70s is far better than this crap.

  • looks like you got a lemon mate. mines an absolute beauty. i had a mex classic, and this shits on it.

  • nice- i like it more this listening. u got a cd, weavz?

  • Great guitar, dude. Actually the 70s US Strat is the reason I got my 69 CS NOS reissue. A friend of mine got this I tried it out, loved it and decided to buy one, then my dealer offered me a really cool deal on the 69 and I was never sorry. Still, both guitars sound awesome and I don't think I'd ever be sorry for buying it.

    Great playing btw :)

  • this song is soooo good did is that you playing it weavzy? if it iz what is it called???????????

  • yeah it me all me. it's an intrumental called "The Spiders Web". glad you like it mate

  • I lke your plaring particularly the fluid descending riffs, very nice. Too bad you're not likely near here, Id love to play some misic. I'll send you an mp3. Here's a video with me p[aying Maggot Brain many years back.

  • So cool dude... I tried one of these today at the store... They cut like a knife... did you compare this to other guitars?

  • nope. i ordered it sight unseen. bit of a gamble but it payed off. i've had a mexican 70's strat for about six years. i just love big headstock strats. when i found out that they were now making american vintage 70's strats, i just had to have one. and i have no complaints. it is leagues ahead of my mex one.

  • i find the pickups perfect. the whole guitar is beautiful. i've read reviews on the usa 70's and alot of people complain that the neck has a gap from the body. well mine did too. all i did was loosen the neck screws, took a good hard grip, pulled the neck in tight to the body and screwed it back in. neck to body gap gone! its the case with a lot of strats. they can become loose in transit.

  • Remember, a feature of the 70's strat is the "micro tilt" neck adjustment... along with the "3 bolt neck" feature... The micro tilt adjuster allows you to adjust the angle at which the neck leaves the body... there may indeed be a gap where the neck meets the body - intentionally. PS, I had an original 79 strat that I got rid of about 10 years ago... I wish I had it now.

  • I've listened to this about 100 times. It's makes my eyes close and my shoulders melt. awesome dude!

  • gotta love the woody sound

  • uw bro alwaaays the great talents and the great music have to be apreciated and u did great job realy so hats off bro ...keep it up id love to listen more to ur works

  • absloutley amaazing sound and by the way sooooooo perfect sound and guitar playing ..willlld bluesy phrases so clever talent

  • thanks mate. i appreaciate the compliments. wild and bluesy sounds good to me.

  • Nice work. Did you change the plastic parts from white to black, or is it the way it came from the factory?

  • nah mate, i changed it all to black. i think it looks heaps cooler that way.

  • hey i really like tha backtrack, love all the layers.

  • They are beasts arent they, i am addiced to my kneck pick up at the mo..lol i model all my sounds around it. i might put a seymour duncan hot rail in the bridge position though. need a bit more pnuch.

  • Interesting backing track lol.I love 70's strats. I got a 1979' one and i love it. My kneck is perfect !

  • ha! yeah it's one of my tracks called "The Spiders Web". you very lucky to have an original, but i love my reissue all the same.
