  • Amazing "TOY"!

  • o.o

  • wtf is that white truck twice as fast

  • Dear Santa,

  • I just won't to know how much it will cost whin it hits the markit

  • @TheFlyboy005 It's been on the market for a long time now. They even have the second probably 3rd generation models of it out. Pricing started at $250k a year ago. Probably less now.

  • La Guardia Ground, taxi to the ram... what the hell, taxi to the streets!

  • $280,000

  • How much does 1 of these cost. Yo this would be the biggest chick magnet ever!!! And I just want 1 i mean hu doesnt!

  • @Kramerhockeyny $250,000 have fun lol

  • Fantastic! The Jetsons era has arrived!

  • It's too bad the propulsion is still from yester-year. The idea is forward thinking, but the components are still archaic and dated. I think I'd like to see the canard extended out a bit as well for stability reasons. But I give these folks props. I'd have to say that this is the best transitional vehicle that I've seen yet.

  • is this legal for night flying because i didnt see navigation lights on wingtips or anti-colision lights ?

  • Definitely not street legal, but what a great way to get out of a ticket, bye, see ya! lol

  • I wonder if its against the law to talk on your cell phone while driving a car plane?

  • @ems7218 If you're in the air, no one will ever know.

  • Cool, I want a flying 18 wheeler..

  • fuck drink an drive, smoke an fly. lmao

  • WHAT A BUNCH OF BULLSHIT! JUST A GLIDER WITH FOLDING WINGS, piece of trash!

  • What an ugly car! Honestly I would buy myself an electric car, or a sports car. As for flying, I would buy myself a Piper Aztec F, Cessna 210, or a Cirrus 22GT.

  • Can you please help me arrange a flight between Carl and Alan. I know it will be a good thing to do for both entities.

    John Zarlino

    740-964-9905

    KiwanisPlaygroundProjects@LIVE.com

  • Give that to John Tyner so that he's doesn't have to go to the airport to get a patdown or the body scanner crap.

  • what if you ran out of gas on midair O_O

  • @GameFanatic080

what would happen if a regular plane ran out of fuel?

  • what im wondering is if there is a squad of police airplane cars ready to pull over the airplane cars that are driving recklessly or have a tail light out

  • It's not reallylike "a flying car" but more like driving a mini air plane on the road, eh not what i exprcted but yet still a good step

  • wtf happens when the gas light goes on in the fucking air?

  • Looks ugly who would drive this

  • if this goes out.. the terrorist doesn't have to hi jack a plane to crash into a building.. they got this one...

  • @ntt4rz Or they could just buy any other plane like they have always been able to?

  • and once you are up there.. how are you going to land??

  • i love how the guy is just casually filling up his ''aero-car'' at a service station.

  • we need license fly to get this?

  • I wonder if they hire non MIT undergraduates

  • Thats alot of elevator trim drag (up elevator), given the rather short coupling in pitch, (is there a short period oscillation in pitch?) but it beats Rutans twin fusalage for practicality.

  • Now terrorists can just buy a car...

  • 500 miles then what its not like you can just land it on a highway.

  • all it is is a mini plane with wheels attached -_- congrats on making something that basically already exists.

  • Dear Santa .....

  • wouldn't you need a pilots license?

  • @WazziGltd

You take a 20 hour class and your certified :)

  • @CometTheHedgehog okay i'll do that after i buy the £150,000 vehicle hahaha

  • Sweet!, keep the doors locked when your up lol!

  • So Cool..! :) It is actually.

  • u just need 2 airports to land and take off very close to your house and your destination... THAT'S WHAT I CALL PRACTICALITY!!!

  • @ironbil your gonna be allowed to land them on highways

  • @GamefighterX LOL yeah right

  • @ironbil

Eh? What you bitchin about? Most small 4 seater planes cant make much more distance than this either. I live in alaska and even here you got cities within ~350 miles of each other. Every place in the lower US has cities and airports within a few dozen miles of each other thats how populated the country is now. So I doubt this would be an issue. Also most people rarely drive more than 400 miles to go vacation either, thats about the same distance this can do (but this is more fun).

  • Lol... Someone drinking while driving the Transition... Makes you wonder what's going to happen when it crashes your house roof.

  • i want one!

  • Despite a helpful weight exemption from the aerial feds, according to the new spec a fully-fuelled Transition will be able to lift only 330lb of passengers and payload: it can't get airborne carrying two normal American men. Also the price has ballooned from $148k to $250k.

  • Please have VERY strict rules to who gets a flying car license!

  • No car from the 50s would be able to meet modern stringent US vehicle safety restrictions. Unfortunately, to drive on roads you'd have to pay for car insurance and registration and what not as well, BUT, consider that it usually costs several hundred dollars a month to hangar your aircraft, and whenever you fly somewhere you have to get a rental car to go elsewhere as you're trapped at the airport, and this uses cheap regular gasoline rather than aviation fuel.

  • При попытке взлететь был оштрафован за превышение скорости.

  • welcome to the 50's

  • Man I thought is was bad when people drive drunk now think of the possibilities.

  • @PizzieNizzie

    Need aircraft license.

  • @PizzieNizzie terrorists must be happier than the manufacturer lol..

  • So, credit or cash?

  • the best and important

  • Looks where were going we won't be needing roads

  • It's not flying very high.....O_O

  • @daretodream86 Says the retard who watched only one video.

  • @shylessness49 Oh...you seem to be irritated for some unknown reason. *pats head*

  • @daretodream86 See, I can go punch something and stop being irritated. But you'll still be a lazy dumbass who isn't bright enough to click to the video link right next to this one.

Fact is, I'm not irritated. You didn't attack me (unlike me attacking you =P) or anyone. I'm just pointing out facts.

    You are welcome!

  • @shylessness49 Aw, is that so? I feel for you, must be tough being you. *pats head again*

  • @daretodream86 Thanks. It is actually.

But I comfort myself into seeing mentally challenged 25 yrs old who just can't figure out how much of a looser they are instead of admitting they can't make a 2 second research on YT since they're probably wanking off all day. Here looking at you ;)

  • @shylessness49 Aw shucks, being so concerned for my well-being, that's very sweet. Oh and, you're very welcome. *pats head*

  • @daretodream86 Yeah, I am worried about him, you know, cause he's too moronic to get a girlfriend.

I keep telling him how awful he looks in the mirror yet, the guy still wank his baby size weiner.

He really tries hard not to show how much of a looser he is, but everyone can see just from his writing how is mother over protected him as a child after feeling bad for the lack of a father in his life since she slept with so many and couldn't step up from her f-up life.

  • @shylessness49 Now now, don't worry about others seeing me as a looser, it seems you've already taken up that role so magnificently. I am truly touched that you care so much for me to that extent. Did I mention? You're so sweet. *pats cheek*

  • @daretodream86 I am sweet.

But the fact is this guy is OBSESSED with his small penis and I've told him countless of times to just go ahead with the surgery. Yet he still talks about it every day and I can't handle it anymore.

Dude, stop talking your dick, seriously!

  • @shylessness49 You're quite lengthy with your words eh? Keep them coming if you like. Hohoho~

  • @daretodream86 And he has a double personality. He thinks he santa claus and he keeps saying "hohoho" like retard and every girl on the street thinks he's calling them whores. It's awful really.

  • @shylessness49 I'm starting to think you're scared of me since you can't speak to me directly anymore. Aw. Hoho~

  • @daretodream86 That's exactly what I mean!! You are scary man. It's like your mom said "He just takes "the" out of psychotherapist".

You gotta find a job, man!

  • @shylessness49 How pitiful, you're actually afraid. Is there anything else you'd like to reveal about your oh-so-modest self? Hm? *pats head*

  • dumb

  • But, how can they respect the speed limits? And the cops ll need that too? It s as ugly as the Renault and Peugeot cars we ve in France haha. They can now use it on the roads I read that, no need to stop at a "stop", you must also have your air driving license I guess?

  • oh gawd, it looks like it is about to crash. however, it has to start somewhere. later models will be better

in the 50's, they used to have cathode ray tubes for tvs and the picture quality was god-awful.

now they have 3d tvs with an immersive reality experience

  • Someone is coming home from the bar at 2:00 am, flying home drunk over the top of my house! *CRASH!* O.O

  • @15Th15f0rR34l LMAO! Thats what I thought too :) drunk flying... ha....scary

  • extremely ugly and useless

  • "Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads."

  • its really a shame that they can make this technology but they have to make it so ugly....why cant they make it look nice?

  • @jtp6194 give it time :)....cant change laws of physics over night lol

  • @3tangle3 lol truee...

  • @jtp6194 For what reason? Nice is usually not the best design, only the prettiest.

  • That isn't eletrics, this ULM / Car, use an airplane motor ( ROTAX92FX or something else ... ), with normal fuel.

  • i can make beater flying car this design sucks dude

  • i can make beater flying car this design sucks dude

  • @jacobblack26 prototypes are never pretty

  • Thumbs up if John Tyner should buy this to get past through the TSA!!!

  • how come it isnt electric? or using algae for a fuel source?

  • how come it isnt electric?

  • John Tyner should see this.

  • Quick, Donate this to the guy who's fedup with TSA agents.

  • if it can only fly 50 ft., nevermind then ha

  • I did my project on this!

  • MAS HORRIBLE ESTE CARRO Y ME MATO!!! PERO BUENO, LA GENTE SE VOLVERA LOCA POR TENERLO...

  • now we're going to have plane crashes instead of car crashes.....well maybe not.....it's $200,000! This Christmas 2011!

  • @derathath you know this is the begining soon they'll come out with gorgeous models looking exactly like caddilacs guarenteed do drive beautiful as ever

  • Yeahhh this is just a plane. A flying car is a bloody flying car, not an airplane which you have to fly off the airport.

  • @Darathath ...no. it is still road legal and can fit on a road...legal, too.

  • @smeadog2010 i did not say anything about it being illegal, i questioned its morals.

  • Accually, I'm quite impressed. If you look at the safety specs on the internet, it seems to fill all the safety requirements for both aircraft and car, and the chances of an in-air collision are much less likely then the chances of a regular car crash.

  • a little crash in the street with another car and the plane is dead.

  • All these negative comments, my goodness! You can sit in your bumper to bumper traffic... I'll be passing you up not on the shoulder road, but in the air!!!

  • @djbarcode5xyz

The law is you have to take off from an airport.

  • @jcer93705

    depends in different countries

in australia u can take off on a private property, ex, large properties in the outback require air strips for first aid as their is no hospitals in the middle of no where. but one thing for sure is that u cant take off on roads

  • its ugly and stupid

  • Elevator authority = none.

  • I just saw my future garage at 1:32. The bimmer just needs a couple more companions.

  • The idea of crashing in the air is unrealistic. I asume you would need a pilots license to own this thing, so its sort of a moot point because so few people would be able to drive it.

  • Yeah right! Bad idea. Why you should try to fly if we can not even drive on the road normaly?

And what if you have breakdowns in the air? You crash above people on the ground.

To fly brings only more accidents with them.

    Please be realistic!

  • Oh, and i forgot to say, collide against each other in the air, also a bad idea.

  • Try and drive that in a cross wind.

  • how much would this car be worth? :O

  • I Like!

  • Comment removed

  • em um simples acidente de transito você poderia quebrar 1 das asas e aí ??

  • good idea but ... you fly after a collision or even a simple bump into a lamppost?

    boa idéia mas ...

    você voaria após uma colisão

ou até mesmo uma simples colisão em um poste de luz ??

  • fuel consumption ?

  • the thing is not everybody has 100m long driveway

  • @WindBreaker77 well, alaska is the only state where it is legal to fly a plane off of a road :).and actually i think you need more of about 1000M to take off(minimum)

  • omg its 2011 right now! wheres mah flyin' car!

  • ...R U fraking kiddin me!? i can see it now, people texting while driving/flying this!...plus how many people are actually smart enuff to qualify for a flying license? not many...nevertheless its still a good idea but not practical for the ignorant masses :P

  • this will prevent traffic.

  • nossa isso e a melhor coisa que eu ja vi na minha vida e tbm o transporte la no baixaki

  • Puta que pariu carro do demonho Oo

  • Inspiration for all innovators! Thank you.

  • cool, now i can drive from kansas to london lols xD

  • what people don't realize is PILOTS would be driving something like this, not everyday people. What pilots do you know that fly their planes drunk? Very few and far between i'm sure. Also, I'm sure the price tag is above 100,000.00. I wouldn't waste that money with stupid risks.

  • @pickles1979 its 200,000-250,000

  • I'm sorry you're wrong Rock3tcat. I interviewed with the group when they were just setting up in Woburn. They did received money from MIT. All the key engineers were new grads from MIT and allot of the support they received was from MIT. If it walks like a duck! Quack quack...MIT is known to provide capital for MIT based development through investment groups. (see the connection between (iwalk LLC) robotic foot project & (General Catalyst) Academic Nepotism. see video (iwalk on a robotic foot)

  • What a figgin waste of money and brain power! These engineers need to be pointed to a worth while project. This is egotistical grand standing at its best. A flying school bus next :)

  • Get a job with a company that can help you with your grounding to reality. Who funds this kind a project? We need the development of technologies that advance humanity. What next a submersible motorcycle.

  • Another MIT project that proves that money can be wasted on engineering unrealistic products. This reminds me of the iwalk robotic foot.

See: iwalk on a robotic foot

  • @tmdncn30

This is a privately owned company that has developed this product, MIT has nothing to do with it.

  • 200,000 airplane/car that does neither well..... or better yet 150,000 regular plane and 15000 regular car....hmm. Oh, yeah I forgot that i can call a cab or just rent a car when I get to where I'm going instead of a minor car accident causing 50,000 to fix or killing me in the air when I leave. Good concept but impractical use= stupid unless building for you or just to say you can. find a more useful way to spend your time

  • what happens if you run out of gas?

  • @ZebraFishable I'd assume the same thing that would happen if a regular plane ran out of gas.

  • @ZebraFishable, Parachute system for small planes like this is the answer.

  • The Icon A5 is like this, only 100% better

  • Boo. This is such a terrible idea. They are pushing their optimism beyond the point of rationality and common sense. They are selling an airplane, not a flying car.

  • The Jetsons!

  • This won't be for you "average Joe sixpack". I can see high powered business types owning it, espically ones who own residences that perhaps have there own runway out back (think there is a place like that in FL)

It would be perfect for a "silo home" just build a landing strip and drive right into the garage.

  • LOL and moller skycar spent 25 years and millions of dollars of investors money, to just end up getting caught for investment and stock fraud. There was no Moller Skycar...

  • have any of you knuckleheads talking shit about this inovation ever attempted to get a pilots license.. The FAA doesn't mess around and neither should anyone flyin a car. furthermore this thing is too damn expensive for the average idiot alcoholic that lacks the better judgment to get behind the wheel drunk!

  • How far can you travel on one tank of unleaded gasoline in the air though? It seems like it would have a pretty short range.

  • it still hasn't got the looks, the SF looks, you know?

  • $200K or so? It could be greener than air and the average drive couldn't even dream of it. Unrealistic.

  • Cool idea, but still impractical.

  • no more getting violated at the airports! hahaha this is awesome..just think in 50-100 years or less...this will be the dinosaur of 'flying cars' who knows what humans will come up with next!

  • Nolan Ryan

  • A $200,000 dollar price tag? I'm going to start saving now!

  • Body shops in the future will need aerospace engineers. Consumer: "How much to repair this minor door ding?" Bodyshop aerospace technician: "Well, you see a tiny ding. In reality, you have major structural damage to a stringer and a spar. This will cost about $17,000 in repair work and $150 in paint and prep."

  • @Stickman53fe It's a good point but remember that if it becomes more popular the prices will go down with supply and demand.

  • It's only a number of years until much of what we see on the road will be in the air. Trying to argue against this innovation would be equivalent to arguing against the first automobiles. Don't fight it.

  • It's a flying car! All your arguments are invalid

  • @loginlover It's not a flying car, just a plane that can propel itself along on a flat surface. Planes have been able to do that for ummm.... EVER. It was just a question of getting it to a manageable size for the actual roads, but I am certain that it handles like poo. Put it this way, sane people would NEVER buy this if they want a decent, comfortable, everyday-use car, ONLY of they want a plane that can be stored in a a garage and can be driven to the airstrip. THUS: YOUR argument is invalid.

  • @locomotosoto I'm not sure you understand my position, loco. All I'm saying is that it is a car...that flies! EVEN if it "handles like poo" (please excuse the language, your words sir, not mine) it may still be a valuable role in paving the way for the futuristic flying car we all imagine. For the time being, it is still an excuse to use the counter-argument: "Oh yeah? Well, I've got a flying car!" THUS: Your argument is valid, but chill out man

  • @loginlover Lol, no, I get it, but what *I* was saying is that it's a PLANE that drives, not a CAR that flies (which is your position). There *IS* a marked difference! Hence my illustrating the point with the real-world example that its buyers will NOT be people who want a car that occasionally flies, but people who want a more convenient PLANE than a non-collapsible one... I will be proven right, just wait and see.

    Stay frosty! :)

  • Comment removed

  • @locomotosoto Oops, I just saw I made a typo: I obviously meant "ONLY *IF* (not 'of') they want a plane".

    That is all.

  • Haha remind me never to let my lil cuz sit in the front seat!

  • i have to see the carfax

  • I can't wait till 2011. Ima buy one.

  • Looks like a RomiIsetta with wings. Ugly, to say the least. What do you italian types have to say about this cheap copy of your vintage personal cars with wings?

Well, it is OK to dream, but, couldn´t it be more good looking? "It flew, YES" at 57? Did not even the factory crew believe that that shit would ever fly?

  • "Imagine what your neighbours would say if they saw you driving a vehicle like THIS down the street"

    Hmm, idk, maybe "WTF!?"

  • yeah, I want one!

  • future..sp there we go

  • Anybody know how much this thing should be when it hits the market? Thanks.

  • @sk8drumdie0116 about 200,000 dollars from what i have read..

  • @jrox5150 yes it's 200,000 $ I read that too...

  • wow now people can fly away from the cops

  • Soon instead of "Don't drink and drive", its going to be "Dont drink and fly".
