  • I have a dance recital 2nite and I'm nevous . We are dancing infront of 700-800 people today and 2morrow is about 50-300 people . I dance hip hop btw .

  • @aleksa1341 That's a challenge. . .yet just imagine you are dancing for one person only, and you'll be fine every time.

  • You actually made a mistake while saying "we make mistakes" but you managed to regain your words. I envy that, on stage I would skips a few words so it doesnt make any sence. I have a final drama exam coming up next week and i'm so nervous. I'll be shaking and have sweaty palms and I wont be able to get my words out or anything. I really dont want to do this exam :/

  • but how do you magically appear in different rooms like that?

  • @Dave9309 LMFAOOOO so funny dude!

WHAT SHOULD I DO!!!???

  • @ehryn20 I suggest you realize that becoming an expert in a skill requires the ability to endure some failures. Look on each one as a learning experience that brings you closer to the expertise you want to acquire. Even as a professional speaker, I have endured some presentations that didn't go as well as I wanted. So you are not experiencing anything unique. Eventually, your preparation--and your persistence--will allow you to sing with poise.

  • Hello.. I have stage fear since my childhood... I think i have good communication skills, i can speak well... But the thing is i have little stammering problem from my childhood.. The only thing that keeps running at the back of my mind while speaking is " WHAT IF I STAMMER..??"..Even while i speak with my friends i think a lot while speaking as i dont want to stammer.. This is the only thing that comes between me and confidence..

  • thank you very much for uploading this video; if you hadn't, i probably wouldn't have passed my final music performance exam :)

  • @kungfucowofgooeynes You demonstrated what I have believed all along--that my stage fright control strategies will benefit us with any type of public performance. Congratulations, and thanks for sharing your success with me.

  • Thank you for confirming what I already know, but was insecure about.

  • @heavenbliss Well stated, because an important part of learning is confirming what we knew already. Thx for letting me know that this video did that.

  • Your videos are excellent

  • @vford43 Thanks plenty, and I'm delighted to see that you subscribed to my videos.

  • @doclampton Will you be uploading any video on interview soon? Please add Frank Sintra as your background music:)

  • Great to know that the video's suggestions have helped your musical performance. How nice that the Internet allows me to share my advice with a Singapore musician!

  • Great suggestions well presented!

  • I appreciate your positive response, and I'm delighted that you subscribed to my videos. One of my 2010 goals is to produce videos more regularly, with messages that help viewers directly in their professional and personal lives. Again, thanks for your interest and support.

  • Thank you so much, this helped me so much with my final for school!

I have bad stage fright but not anymore!

  • You made my day. Always like to hear that I have helped an aspiring speaker. Keep that high confidence level going, and you will enrapture many audiences.

  • Fine question. The earlier videos I produced included a slower pace because it took me awhile to get completely confident with the camera. Videos I produce today will have a more rapid pace. My speeches for live audiences employ a rapid pace, which helps maintain attention.

  • Hello Sir, I notice that the cadence and measure in which you deliver your message is a bit slower than most people naturally speak- is this the way you normally speak, or is it a tool you use to help get the message across? Respectfully, Gail

  • Wonderful video!

You mention that there are ways to "tone down someone who is very high strung". What are those ways?

    Thank you!

  • The very high strung person is probably concentrating too much on the impression he or she is making. I advise them to get so wrapped up in their topic and so thrilled over the opportunity to share their ideas with an audience, that they stop worrying about the outcome. They will remain energetic, yet channel the energy in a positive channel. Thx for asking.

  • Thank you so much for the videos. I am taking valueble notes.

  • Nice to hear that you are dedicated enough to take notes on my advice. Thanks for your interest, and for writing me. All the best for your progress in speaking.

  • When we know we have a huge fear, at least the target is big enough for us to identify and control. You are very dedicated, to take notes about my suggestions. Watch one of my other You Tube videos, "Six Ways to Control Your Stage Fright." More than 12,000 viewers so far, and I believe you, too, will find it helpful.

  • i want to be a singer but suffer with stage fright and big crowds and have not got the confidence to sing on stage so instead i take smaller parts but really wish i had the confidence to sing on stage :( do you have any tips please write back xx :)

  • i am taking notes as i write this, thank you so much, HUGE FEAR!! Short clips are great.

  • Happy to hear that this video helps you. I predict that you will enjoy these upcoming speeches, and enjoy your new level of confidence.

  • Wow! Another great video!! I have another performance tomorrow and for the next 3 days:) Thanks!
