  • America is such a great irony.

  • I understand what is like to be discriminated and anyone who does racial profiling are those who doesn't respect King. So I would never backfire to those who are racist.

  • LONG LIVE FREEDOM!!!

  • So true so true so true

  • And still to this day blacks suffer from racism to a certain degree, that's why I want to go back to Africa

  • Many white people were certainly a part of of this movement. But having grown up deep in the south, I can assure you that racism was without doubt a part of everyday life for the majority of us living there. As unfortunate as it was to have to endure these times, the exposure through the media was often a God send and a curse. Those whites who were more sensitive to the cause were certainly fewer than those who weren't, yet they often without hesitation put their own lives at risk.

  • one thing you always notice through the years in this famous speech in the crowd there are many white people in the audience makes you wonder if it was the media that was fueling the fire (so to speak) back in the 50's and 60's

  • Wow. So beautiful, so poetical, so powerful, so inspiring. Truly fantastic speech

  • Please take a moment to view my channel. I have been writing some poetry inspired by the Zeitgeist Movement advocating world peace and human rights. Please share your thoughts and with others. Thanks so much and again please take a moment.

  • 太伟大了!

  • Only freedom this is and will or shall I say SHALL BE is when the Lord Jesus Christ comes back as King of kings and Lord of lords

  • i have a dream of getting KONY arrested ....

  • Martin Luther King - uses publicity as a weapon in his fight for freedom. Kony 2012 - spammed everywhere for similar reasons. Don't let the Ugandan children's lives continue as long as the civil rights campaign. act now, spread the world. Let the world know

  • Thanks for posting this. I´m always deeply moved when I hear this.

  • So many negative comments on such a positive speech

  • I find it sad that we live in a world where, on the one hand, some countries live in a society of extreme prejudice, racist and homophobic societies, societies where you can die for your choices or status, yet on the other hand racism has become a hyper-sensitive subject. I'm all for equality, but when a coffee machine with 'black' and 'white' coffee is changed to 'milked' and 'unmilked' (I've seen it done) to avoid racism, that's a shame. Let's not over-egg it, people.

  • He's a great man.

He must have known that he was signing his death sentence by speaking these words.

  • This really was the speech of the 20th Century. This speech IMO sums up what America was going through for much of the 20th century - racial equality whether it be education, transportation. The 20th Century was The Century of Civil Rights.

Martin Luther King Jr. as a white teenager in Mississippi(though its irrelevant) , remains one of my heroes. His words have inspired me since the very first time i ever heard the "I Have a Dream Speech". Thank God for Martin Luther King Jr.

  • KONY 2012

  • @InterllectualBADASS Well wasn't that an 'interllectual' remark...

  • How can 200 people dislike? It's crime against men to dislike! No, no I'm talking stupid. Great man, great dreams. Someday!

  • @FightinRebel14 well, first off, let me thank you for your admitting you are a racist. that will detract from your credibility (such as it is), and to remind you, if you are referring to "science" in your proof that this is true, it all went the same way as phrenology - which is to say, all bullshit.

and, incidentaly - referring to all the right-thinking people, not you - again... well, since we're all in it together (literally,on this planet) racists are the last thing we'd want.

  • @lordvynce Considering you called me "mate", I assume you live in Britain. How does it feel becoming a minority in your own country? How do you think your life will be once you are at the mercy of blacks and asians and the politicians who will be mostly non white wont give two damns about you? Take a look at South Africa and see if you still want to "be in it all together"

  • @FightinRebel14 - You have obviously been abused, or abused sexually by someone who is black. lol how can you not like black people?? there fucking awsome! Don't be jealous of them just case they can do almost every thing better then white people. get with the fucking program dude! black people are here to stay so deal with it you racist prick!

  • @crazyhellrazer94 Yes, niggers have higher amounts of testosterone than other races, but no I was never in prison with them.

  • @FightinRebel14 - lol i feel sorry for you.

  • @FightinRebel14 You're a complete pleb.

  • @FightinRebel14

sit down, shut up and realize that whatever you say in this vein will be ridiculed by... well, pretty much anyone who isn't some inbred racist, like yourself.

i think every right thinking human being on the planet, yourself excluded, realizes that no matter what happens in the future, *we are all in this together*.

that being said, if you don't want in, no one would really be too upset if you just fucked off.

cheers mate, have a good one!

  • @lordvynce Lol. Everything I said, is true and everyone knows its true but are afraid to say it out of fear of being called a "racist".

  • It's funny that Lincoln gets so much credit for ending slavery.

If you do your research, you will find it ironic as well.

  • Legendary "I have a dream" section of speech begins @ 12:10

  • make's me tear up every time

  • Joseph Kony famous 2012! This is what MLK would have wanted!

  • such a powerful man im sure if he was still alive today he would have grabbed racism by the neck and banished it from this world god bless Dr. Martin Luther King Jnr <3

  • @matt122484 - fuck you ass hole cracker

  • @crazyhellrazer94 you must be black :)

  • @matt122484 - Nope white/mexcan just sick of backward ass people like you.

  • @matt122484 why would you say something like that?

  • SAY NO TO RACISM!

  • STOP KONY

  • @FightinRebel14

what the mother f***ing f**k man. racist much? XO r u in the kkk

  • Hayirdir Insallah MARTIN ..

  • the 209 people that clicked disliked this video are still living in the racist times :( hehehe

  • @ironman5995 Just saying, you sort of need put your standards into perspective. Sure, reverse racism is bad... But we are not being strung up by our necks just as african americans were all those years ago. We are not having our job oppurtunities restricted by short-sighted rasicts. Our education is not of a worse standard than african american education. And we are most definitely not being sold as slaves to work at a "master's" whims. Reverse racism is bad and socially seperates us.We can live

  • Mathew 5:44

But I tell you love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.

  • ;) that's awesome R.I.P MLK.J

  • i have a illusion!

  • A lot of people do not know that most of this speech was completely off the top of his head.

  • @DrDerpwerth take 10 niggers out ya life and you'd be dead!!!

  • What a great speaker. We need another transformative figure in the US. Look at that time, the 60s--everything was changing. People were fighting for equal rights, there was change in the air. Now, people are too busy checking facebook to think about this kind of thing.

  • I have a dream when the comes where my kids will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character...I have a dream today.

  • man I'm not black but every time I hear this great man my heart stops VIVA FREEDOM!

  • Please explain to me WHY you people are racist... There is no justifiable reason, you're all just ignorant assholes. You won't get respect by posting stuff like: "Dumb nigger". You'll only get hatred. And if things carry on this way, white people (me included) will be the ones that are separated from society just like blacks were a hundred years ago.

  • @DangerDaze14 That is just it--racists can never articulate why they are racists. Like that moron below, "Quitcallingonme", all he can say is "shut-up, dumb nigger lover." He speaks on a 1st grade level and probably has an IQ in the low 70s. Just ignore his kind, racists have always been and always will be a bunch of idiots.

  • @DangerDaze14...you want an honest answer on why people are racist? It's simple. Human beings are mammals. Territorial, xenophobic and tribal animals. War, gangs and sports all stem from the same biological programming that racism does. In a word the behavior can be summed up as "tribalism".

  • I think its time for another man like this.

  • @Tmacone777 He is coming...

  • @UnexpectedWonder ... Sooner than many may believe

  • @Tmacone777 Amen.

  • @Tmacone777 We do have another man like him, and his name is Ron Paul.

  • respect from Iran

  • 'MERICA!

  • how could you dislike this speech, its a bautiful piece of our history and this man deserves only praise for speaking out against oppression.

  • first rap verse ever spat

  • dat nigga just mad cuz his azz is old

  • @johnwaynegacy94 says the kkk member........

  • This speech was plagiarized...

  • Today's world is not what Doctor. Martin Luther King Jr. By what i heard he would have wanted wanted equality. Today's america now has reverse racism. By my standards that's worse than racism

  • We cannot pretend that the kind of thing he was talking about doesn't still exist. The kind of racism that was relevant at his time is still relevant in unfortunate parts of the world. Whatever you call it, racism, reverse racism, prejudice, ignorance, black people hating white people, white people hating black people, people of different countries hating each other, it is still incredibly relevant. Ignorance is ignorance, hate is hate. It is only by love that we will ever grow as a human race.

  • @PinkyInTheSky Yeah it is still much alive, but atleast there's progress. But hate and selfishness put together is only a person's downfall in the end, even if they die never realizing it.

  • @PinkyInTheSky There is no "human race" you fucking lemmon. Every race has evolutionary differences and traits. For example, Blacks have a much lower IQ than Whites, smaller brains and more testosterone. Believing that all races are the same is the same as believing the world is flat, you need to stop listening the the Jewish controlled media

  • @FightinRebel14 Lower IQs and smaller brains? I've not heard of this. If you are not simply making up bullshit and living in the 50s, please point me in the direction of some hard, back-up proof of what you are saying.

  • @TheCaciaTree On average American Blacks have an 18 point lower IQ than Whites and in Africa is it much lower because most American blacks have Native American or White blood. You don't even need IQ studies anyway, the fact that Africans were stuck in the stone age in the 20th century until Europeans came should be proof enough

  • @FightinRebel14 No, the reason IQs are lower in Africa is because of he dictators, poverty and lack of education available there. The reason blacks were 'stuck in the stone age' was because they had no need for sturdy shelter what with the heat, or for clothes or stone houses or candles. They had no horses to ride - were they supposed to ride cows? That'd be stupid. Were they primitive because they weren't Christian? They had their own religion, own language, own society.

  • @TheCaciaTree Africans (more specifically egyptians) were THE first civilization to have come up with modern medicies/medicinal use, mathematics, astrology, and many other highly advanced achievements that would be considered today to be remarkable. The ONLY reason why Afircans/African Americans are treated so poorly or in such 'uncivilized' conditions is because they are part of (the white man's) self fulfilling prophecy.. we say they are stupid/uncivilized, therefore we treat them accordingly

  • @TheCaciaTree College standards in America are lowered to accept black students who are only there most of the time because of affirmative action- official racism in their favor. They're also more genetically prone to crime as they are much more primitive by nature. And no, they were stuck in the stone age because they havn't evolved like Europeans and Asians have. If Europeans hadn't colonized Africa, they would still be swinging from the trees to this day

  • @FightinRebel14 well, isn't someone the hellfire rascist? im surprised your vast stupidity and ignorance hasnt gotten you vicously beaten or something. and really? genetics? just like that extra chromosone causing you to be more violent, that is botched science. your severe idiocy astounds me. although, your name does state you are a rebel, so it's not your fault, but your bigot upbringing.

  • @daithos11 Theres nothing "ignorant" about what I said, it's just politically incorrect.

  • @PinkyInTheSky well said.

  • @PinkyInTheSky Extremely well-put.

  • 12:29 I am a Canadian. I am white, but I am 1/8th African. This man is someone I look up to, and I see as an amazing hero for the African American Community. He should have been the first Black president, not Obama.

  • this speech brought tears to my eyes

  • @DrDerpwerth Your dream will never come true grand dragon racist LOL

  • Let's pretend everyone's skin color is rainbow, then start judging them :3 (So they're forced to review actions not appearance)

  • Martin Luther King would be wallowing over his grave if he saw the Black Panthers and Affirmative Action today.

  • @DrDerpwerth You're really stupid... Hey dumb ass look at the society we live in now... desegregation prevailed so live with it cuz its more beautiful than your sickening, cold heart

  • This man is my hero. I only wish he were still here to see his dream come true, but sadly, racism still exists in this world, and it's disgusting. As Martin said, he wanted his children to grow up in a world where they are judged by the content of their character not the colour of their skin. I am white, and the people who have spread their racist language over this video, are white, and I tell each and everyone one of you racists that I'm judging your characters right now.

  • Free at last, free at last.......

  • 240p we meet again :(

  • Dr. King may have managed to make the government put in the Civil Rights Act, but the only way racism will ever go away is when the color of your skin becomes as important as the color of your eyes. And to the others in the comments speaking of racism, hate, and anger, I ask you, why are you filled with such misguidance and rage? Hatred will get you nowhere, in real life and on the internet.

  • Wonder how much of this was plagiarized?

  • is martin luther kiing black?

  • @lynch03 >/=(...Of course not. He's a southern white redneck who spends his time shooting dogs and who is a member of the KKK and says that all blacks, jews, gays and all others who do not raise their hands in love and loyalty to the Fuerer are children of Satan and must be cleansed of this earth.

    WTF, MAN!?!?!?!?!?!?!

  • @lynch03 No, he is brown....

  • @lynch03 not really. he was white and had a black birth mark and it grew and grew and grew and it covered his whole body. :)

  • This speech still brings tears to my eyes, no matter how many times I listen.

  • nigger

  • @SirKnightStalker douche

  • @SirKnightStalker Racist... BLACKS DID NOTHING WRONG AS A PEOPLE, sure the majority of criminals ar eblack people, but all aren't bad. White people steal, rape, and kill too, you know.

  • @SirKnightStalker You need a hobby.

  • @SirKnightStalker racist

  • Great speech, we should all be looked at as individuals not as groups such as white or blacks.

  • @SATANlover69fartpoop LMAO, AHA

  • @SATANlover69fartpoop @SATANlover69fartpoop You both are terribly retarded confused. -_-

  • I know black people constantly bring up his legendary status in conversation like pulling a verbal gun, but he really was a great man and I give respect where it's due. All people should look to men like this and to Bob Marley and princess Diane and to anyone that shows us how to live by their ACTIONS. Not gangsters, dirty politicians, drug dealers... whether FDA or street dealers. We need more good people like him.

  • I didnt know people where so racist until I read these comments. It's sickening, and I hope to god that these people. These people so blinded by ignorance, by misdirected hate. I hope to god that they dont teach their poor children these values.

  • This speech has actually made me EXIST ! I'm white AND black. I love my white friends just as much as my black friends. Get racist about white people I WILL SNAP ON YOU ; Get racist about black people I WILL SNAP ON YOU ; Ha, I have the best of both worlds. (: . I Love People Of All Colors (: Especially Asians ! Haha, Those Are My Homies (:

  • sooo sick ! perfect example of the public speaking ! he touched my heart !

  • How can this be disliked?! I'm neither Black nor American and i appreciate this and view it as one of the most signifcant moments in human history (not that im implying you need to be black or American to appreciate it). He had a dream, millions had a dream, Obama had a dream.

  • Open Hearts are Strength

  • Bless the people and the couragous ones that will stand up and represent. Thankyou all so very much....YOU ARE LOVED FOR ETERNITY...Peace be upon all who struggle for goodness

  • only 1.3 million views? poor effort!

EVERY single American should be made to sit here and watch this speech atleast once.

  • thank you for your humanity and your example dr. King. Thanks for being a vessel that allowed god to work through you .

  • In his Speech, Dr King intimated foreseeing his own death and it was not the first time. He must have been wondering here whether or not he would survive to the end of this Speech. The saying that "The Pen is mightier than the Sword" could not have been more apt for here was a Soldier putting himself alone on the front line armed only with words...and such Words!

  • 48 years later, Dr Kings inspired Speech remains the template & the bridge for change. Deceptively simple, brilliantly crafted, it cannot be parodied; attempts to make it a cliche fail because its message is the humanity in all of us which is precious; and from a gentle unassuming man, spoken with a voice of effortless gravitas that calls to arms the sins of the past & the present to unite in common brother & sisterhood wherever and whatever form conflicts exist. His Speech is the 8th Wonder.

  • Beautiful dream

  • black people can't swim because they are born with a low I.Q.

  • @megaloadtoface

    So why are you drowning?

  • 193 members of the KKK disliked this

  • 193 people are in the KKK.

  • This speech is truly inspiring. It would be dumb to not like itm

  • @PlanetZelka I'm sorry, I've gotta intervene right now. Gayness is not a sickness. It's not like you can catch it from someone, it's not contagious. It's just a part of who some people are. If you're "like that" you can't change. Sure, you can hide it and not be your true self, but why would you do that? God may not have created homosexuality, but he certainly won't condemn anyone who is. If God truly loves everyone and forgives as I know He does, being gay won't condemn you to hell

  • @GatorGirl1418 Thank you for being respectful, I don't get alot...

The Bible makes numerous references to homosexuality being wrong. Sodom and Gamorah (sorry, bad spelling) were adulterous cities, with all kinds of adultery; physical, mental, and homosexuality. They were evil cities, so God destroyed them.

You are right about God loving everyone, but people naturally break His laws, and He wants them to turn to Him. God created ONE man and ONE woman, and that's how he wants it. (continued)

  • @PlanetZelka Actually homosexuality is never mentioned in the destruction of Sodom. The only time the word homosexual is mentioned in the bible is when a rogue translator decided a word meant homosexual, contrary to most scholars. Look up Mel White, and fix your ignorance please.

  • @MsAwesomeZebra BUT, 1Corinthians, chapter 6, verses 9-11: "Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be decieved, neither fornificators, nor idolators, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, not sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, not drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inhert the kingdom of God."

  • @GatorGirl1418 (i was running out of charectors...) God loves His children, but like any father, He punishes thse who don't obey Him. Typpically, Hell.

God is merciful, and if we want Him to forgive us of our iniquities, He will.

    God Bless you, GatorGirl1418

  • is there a way i can download this and save it to my computer?

  • Very inspirational speech by MLK jr.

  • @shadow80081

I bet you have a black boyfriend. Its ok...tell your dad you can no longer satisfy him sexually.

  • Black, white. It's all the same. Look at the yin-yang symbol. I truly admire you MLK Jr.

  • @TheAceOfSpades9999 ironic analogy to the ying yang asian synbol, but i guess the thoughts are what counts

  • Race and religion means nothing to me. It is who you are as a person. Thank you MLK Jr. for your great contribution to this world.

  • he is truly a hero

  • @quitcallingme. okay first MLK did not refuse to move off his buss seat, that was rosa parks. and when you put he wouldn't get OF its actually OFF. you should really spell check before you put things on line, it doesn't really make you look smart when you are calling someone else dumb and you are not spelling things correctly. and he did not get shot because of a bus seat, he got shot because people are ignorant (like you) and thought it was okay to oppress a group of people based on their skin

  • I went through the same thing in the Bahamas, but I'm white. So I have an understanding even though I am white. Some Bahamians don't like white people.

  • i hate racist people. i know what he went through.i went through the same thing and i was only 10 when that happened and know i am 12

  • @nayslay1 you didnt get killed....

  • @thedumperful he is still only 12...

  • I wonder how disappointed he'd be to see the negro community in today's society and how they've become..

  • Hosanna! This was Once, My Hope. That is Why I as a young Individual travelled aroud the World to be able to Compare the Ballance of Fellowship and Truth from the Words and Belief of Martin Luther King's " Have A Dream".
