@DirtyBrownMexi 2) But the monologue is boring for the hedgehog (the husband), it answer in a distracted mode because it's thinking about the lonely experience that has just lived in the wood, when it was surrounded by the fog. This is my interpretation so I'm not sure that is the right one, the one intended by master Yuri.

At the end the bear (reminding a wife) talks like in a usual speech of a tipical married life (like find raspberry jam and juniper twigs for "shopping").

It's brilliant artistically, for sure, but it ends like an mere exercise in animation; as if it were done for a class assignment or something with no thought of storytelling.

@DirtyBrownMexi I'd say that the whole thing is basically a metaphore for how loneliness changes things and leaves us kind of pondering through a 'fog' of some sort,and we're lost,and the river mostly represents 'the flow' and the hedgehog leaves himself to go with the flow and he finds the bear cub as his salvation from the lonely fog. I don't know,that's just how I understand it,but it it might be complete bullshit :))))

@RunningEagle2011 i am assuming, he meets his bear friend regularly but& this time he decided to bring jam. on the way there he encounters a horse in the fog &questions if it would drown if it were to sleep.he decides to step into the fog to see for himself. the bat and owl seem to be the dangers in life. the snail, dog, the mysterious somebody seem to be the miracles in life. in the end he meets his friend after all the ups and downs.& appreciates life or realizes how different it really is.
