  • Can you tell me how thick the rope is and what kind?

  • @rocker43mike It's possible to make it by all kinds of ropes.

    I'll recommend to make once.

  • @shinomun Tried making one recently with jute twine of around 1.5 mm circumference. Took more than 3 hours to make. Clearly too thin. Have access to 3mm and 6mm alternatives. Can't tell which to use. Limited budget so can't experiment with both.

  • @rocker43mike

I will challenge you, very impressed.

Japanese technology at the time, to make a thread of 1.5mm, please consider it very difficult.

I do not think the comfort, I think the best would rope over 6mm.

If this is possible within 1 hour production time.

  • Trying to figure out what you did at 1:40

  • @tkbomber Same here... =/

  • Thank you very much, you help to make a old dream!

  • How much line is needed in total (for the two sandals)?

  • @AlucardZeppelin It's partial by the size of the foot, but when approximately 6 m can be prepared, I think it's enough.

  • realy awesome, thx for help :)

  • also, what do you mean by 'woof'?

  • @sankosa1 and contexts

  • what is the process when you suddenly switch scenes?

  • Wow!!! Thanks dude!

  • the music sucks...

  • ありがとうございます!

  • i need to make these as part of a costume. but it is actually quite fasanating to see how it is done.

  • This is trully wonderful. I love ths type of craftmanship and it's really simple. Thank you so much for this tutorial.

  • とても立派な作り方ですよ。音楽はもとてもすきです。ありがとうございます

  • Flaco gracias a ti, pude completar mi cosplay de samurai!!

  • @javichinzeo como se llama el tipo de cuerda que usaste??

  • @Ferxholaxwey Probablemente sea hilo sizal.

  • so like...did you add another thing of straw rope? cuz I'm having difficulty understanding 1:36-1:50 :P Any help would be MUCH appreciated :D

  • @Strifedragondude Yeah, he adds 10 feet of rope (he mentioned that at the beginning) and does a pretty simple over/under weaving pattern.

  • Thank you very much.

    The instruction is very clear.

A great idea for green earth !!

Lets reduce the usage of plastic and rubber!!

    GO GREEN!!

  • This is fascinating. I think I'm gonna make these. Just a thought; things might go a little faster for you if you make yourself a shuttle to hold the long length of thread instead of pulling the whole length through each time. You could wrap the excess around a cardboard square and just unravel more as you need. Thanks for the video. I'm rating it high and adding it to my favorites!!

  • how do you put them on

  • Absolutely fantastic job. I would much rather learn something like this in person, but seeing as that isn't currently possible, this will have to suffice. Heh. I've actually seen waraji also be made on a board with pegs and a similar pattern, but this seems somewhat superior. Fantastic instructions, can't wait for part two.

  • Hey..... Where is part 2?

  • Thanks, bro. Best tutorial on the net. Please finish so I can make mine! Thanks again!

  • Excellent video, can't wait for part 2.

  • yes a TRUE WARAJI
