Great video. I had the same experience this week outside of Chicago. The noise level was astounding and the trees and ground were covered by robins. I had no idea that they migrated in groups. I count myself among the lucky few to have witnessed them. At least, after seeing your video, I know I'm not nuts.
Thanks for your response! I was pretty surprised to see so many Robins down here in Missouri. Pretty cool that other people who've seen them migrating have been able to find and watch this little video :)
@charissamarluk: Feb. 28, 2011 - Chicago (far SW Side): They are back indeed! Saw hundreds arriving a couple of weeks ago in one of our many local cemeteries and even more today! Such an awesome sight! Both times they came in between 5 and 6 pm around sunset! Usually the males arrive first, so I assume these were the females we saw tonight -- soon there will be singing in the middle of the nights! :>)
This is an amazing video. I have always been amazed by the Robins. They are so pretty. Thank you for sharing them. Our state bird in Michigan is the Robin.

Nice, I'd like to experience this sometime. What kind of Robin is that?
RedBalls101 3 years ago
To tell you the truth, I didn't really know there were different species of robins. If you know what kind it is please share :)

You're welcome! I always loved when the robins returned to Alaska in the summers. I love their songs!

Actually, I think it's just an "American Robin"... Ha, anyway. The American Robin have awesome song, probably my favorite bird.
A Redbreast's song is kind of high-pitched and annoying in comparison!

Yep, just something about their song that signals the start of summer to me :) Thanks for watching :)
