Audrey was such an inspiration, i love how elegant she truly was , its so odd though me and her share the same birthday and she died the year i was born in .. she is soo much more beautiful than monroe , theres one thing to be physcially attractive but theres another thing to be stunning and have acting skills only hepburn had that ! =)

According to her biography by Barry Parish (who also wrote Greta Garbo's), she was born into the Dutch aristocracy. Her mother was a baroness and her father an Englishman. Her family lost their fortune during the war. After WWII, she and her mother moved to England where she joined the theater and eventually ended up doing bit roles in minor English movies.

But she really was belgian, she was born there so, legally she was belgian and she was dutch.. she lived in england yeah, but she stays a belgian girl. and your so right ! audrey was great.

@starwars60 she was born in belgium and was dutch, so yes she was.. she lived in england when she was a bit older, but she even did a movie in dutch at the beginning of her carreer so legally she stays a belgian, flemish girl. (:
