i agree, as a vehicle and a concept, i think it is a great idea; but would be better with wider tracks for increased mobility in snow/mud etc....although, is this already being done?

hey they succesfully drive with those tracks in yuma american desert (where germany tests its vehicles for desert capabilities) and the Gebirgsjäger (mountain infantry) drive around witht hem in the mountains, and all that at high speeds.

they dont need whide tracks it only would slow it damn down

Not all that necessary. The entire vehicle weighs in at less than three tons and it doesn't exert much ground pressure with the current tracks.

@lknkprkninflamesbest If you widen those track the wiesel will lose the airtransport capability for transport Helicopters such as in the sikorsky Ch53for what its was designed for and will increase the average weight, its purpose is to give airborne infantry Recon,Anti Tank & fire support .
