  • i watched that whole thing expecting at LEAST one phil ivey hand. Such a shame

  • doyle brunson = YOUNG GUN

    yeeeee buddy!

  • so the best hand freddy deeb ever played was him sucking out on one of the best in the world?

  • Your best hand ever played was a bad beat? doesnt say much of your poker skills

    Doyles hand was stunning

  • @MeShell1010 dude.. calling one guy is different.. but calling with J high.. with "one more" guy to act behind is different... We all did that Ace high n K high calls when heads up.. but Doyle did that with one guy to act behind. hats off to him.

I rem Durrr making such a move where he knew exactly where the other guys are.. and made the better hands fold (AA and 3of a kind) I think against barry and peter ..and later he won prop bet where he said petter had that 3 of a kind ;)

  • It established Doyle as one of the new young guns in Poker, what century was this? lol

  • Image how much pussy has doyle had...

  • you know what.. doyle actually saw the cards in the hand :P

how on humanly earth could some1 call with J high with one guy to act behind??? I mean HOW ??? :O

  • @redhidus some millionar ppl call those hands just because they dont want to have the thought: "i wish i really want to see what he had" so they call just high cards and sometimes they hit the lottery

but that wasnt Doyle´s case :)

  • ...freddy deep's best hand was a suckout. he lacks class when he sucks out on ivey and then says "ppl think ivey was being rude to me." fuck you freddy deeb. you ugly short fuck. arrogant shitbag of a fuck i hope you die, you walking blowjob of a shit.

    ivey ivey ivey ivey ivey!

  • was doyle ever a young gun lol

  • i hope retards call me with just jack high lmao!!

  • 6000 on a brick.. such a retarded play... retarded call too! will be fun for doyle when he see jhonny were bluffig with a queen or and ace.. make a min raise instead of calling! he might even get two pair and worse to fold too

  • i fcking hate freddie deeb. sucks

  • Doyle is the man. if i could play with any player in the world it would be Doyle.

  • wow, doyle's call was amazing

  • awesome!

  • Doyle Brunson's best played hand owns Howard Lederer's "best played" hand hard. Call with Jack high? Crazy.

  • very nice hand doyle

  • long live boyle brunson

  • Doyle has boycott the WSOP for around 10 years, he could have won a lot more than 10 bracelets

  • Deeb's hand was a preview of next week's show

The Biggest Suckout I ever made!

  • @margetgreenbaum506

    no you didnt

  • 1:33 so true...normally when I have a strong hand I will bet something a little bit higher than the pot, so it can look like you want a call..

Alot of players play pot value alot of the time, regardless what they have in their hands....

  • Why would Freddy Deeb pride that hand above all others? It's just a suckout.

  • ivey is the man

    brunson is the legend

but the shirt is the best

  • Brunson is my hero! Called with jack high, omg thats sick!

  • Freddy Deebs best hand was wack... remember the time i sucked out on Phil Ivey?? How could that possibly be the best hand you've ever played?

  • Why was Freddie Deeb on this show?? He raised from early position with a monster, got called in 2 spots. Went all in when was virtually dead and sucks out by hittin a 2 outter...WTF??

  • @wesleyhoulihan its not called "the hand where i played the best" its called "the best hand i ever played" he is on it because it spurred him on, and Freddie Deeb is one of the best NLH and PLO players in the world...

  • @wesleyhoulihan You guys are idiots, it is not the best hand Deeb played it is the best hand Ivey played. Deeb is just there to help tell about the hand.

  • @hubertandclyde

You guys are idiots?? Because it spurred him on?? You wanna be Freddies fuck buddy don't you!! Puff...

  • @wesleyhoulihan I never said it spurred him on you idiot. I only said that Freddie was only there to help tell the story about Ivey's good playing. You are such an idiot.

  • @wesleyhoulihan

    must be the shirt he?

  • @wesleyhoulihan That was the best hand he ever played, ROFL!

  • @wesleyhoulihan It must be the shirt

  • Is Norman Chad really related to Ron Jeremy??

  • I think Norman is Ron's nerd brother that jacks off watchin his brother plough some bimbo throught a hole carefully drilled in Ron's bedroom wall! Ha ha.

  • Can you imagine Doyle beeing a "young gun"??? Musta been about 147 years ago... Loooool! Amazing how he's still one of the top players in the world!

  • "I just couldn't stand to look at his shirt anymore." lol

  • what got the last hand to do with "best hands played" ?

  • maybe he thought the program was "best suckouts i ever played"

  • "He played it good. He played it real good. I didn't expect him to make that play"....yea Freddy, raising with a set is very rare play. haha

  • The board was very dry, it would be probably best for Phil to check his set but since he knew Freddie had a big pair he raised. That is why Freddie got so surprised because he would expect the majority of people to check a set in that position.

  • PHIL IVEY

  • Doyle Brunson = Legend.

  • Doyle's call with J high was the best! Ive never seen anyone play like that before! yes people would reraise there n win it, but a call with J high being sure that he has the best hand! amazing....

  • Actually, he was sure he DIDN'T have the best hand, but that if he called, the best hand would go out!

    ...gah!

  • Although I don't like their reenactment. If there really were two spades on the flop, then Moss could easily have had the flush draw, making it less likely Doyle had him beat. It had to have been a rainbow flop.

  • doyle talks about this hand in his supersystem, and i think it was a rainbow flop

  • poker was played differently back then, he talks about it

  • Stu Ungar made a call with 10 high, he called the other player's hand out, "you have x-x, so I'm calling with this" and flipped over 10 high and won it.

  • "You either have 5-6 or 6-7, so im gonna call you with this"

    Legend!! Best Ever!

  • lol yeah, after i posted that comment i looked for it and put it on my status for like 6 days lmao

  • There was a better version of this kind of play by Stu Ungar against Mansour Matloubi. I think that was the greatest play i have heard of. Check it out... Its nowhere in youtube but there are articles written about it.

  • hahaha who jus asked if esfandiari made it to the november 9?? my god please catch up

  • once i called someones all in with queen high with an ace ,a king and a 9 on the flop. He was drawing to a flush and didnt reach on the river XD

  • 1950s $6000 is like 50k now-a-days

  • without a doubt doyle is the best ever...... better then hellmuth ivey and all morden players... they are way behind doyle and will never be as good as him ever

  • If Ivey keeps his game up, he will ;)

  • yes i agree now..... how is he doing at the minute ?

  • He is in the "November 9"... Think he is 6th in chips or something around 8-10 millions. The chippie has close to 50 million I believe

  • Hi didn't *cry* .....Think he busted around 25th place.

Jeff Schulman is the only other pro at the table

  • Ummm isn't James Akenhead a pro too?

  • no, he just got eliminated

  • Deeb's hand is dumb.....His 'best hand ever played' was a hand where he went allin with 2 outs and admitted mis reading Phil....really?

  • Yeah. Where's the skill or greatness in hitting two outs?

  • I always assumed that one was for Phil Ivey...

  • what else? i don´t think that it was dedicated to deep at all...it´s just that deep is famous and that he and ivey are close friends so they did it kind of toghether...

  • I just couldnt stand looking at the shirt anymore

  • I have had that hand last weekend...

Same situation. I was on 9 10 side... dang.

  • right..

  • I agree with toast. Stu is the best card player to ever grace a a table. He controled every table he was at. He could get you to fold anything but the nuts.

    RIP Stu

  • doyle brunson is legend

  • Deeb trouble

  • Doyle wrote about this hand in Super System :D

  • Indeed. I remember reading it not too long ago, so it was fun when he told the story himselfe ^^

  • i dun understand why johnny moss would bet 6k lolol

  • It was a bluff, you shouldn't call with nothing like J/10 but Brunson read Moss like a open book. I play poker for a few yrs and I can't believe he just call with that(he could raise); amazing call!

  • norman chad is a donk!

  • i dont think deebs hand was amazing at all.. Doyle and Duke are absolutely awesome

  • Deeb was a lucky bastard on that hand

  • amazing play by Doyle. Even if I knew the guy was bluffing me I probably wouldnt call with J-high coz he could accidentaly have a Q or A.

  • Well you didn't hear him say he knew johnny was on a drawing hand? And his drawing hand had the highest cards possible?

  • what if he was drawing to an ace/queen-high flush? That is just as likely as drawing to a straight.

  • PURE PWNAGE BY DOYLE!!!!!

  • yeah, and what's particularly impressive is that guys like doyle and johnny moss had to figure out the game from scratch. they didn't have access to any prior knowledge of strategies, tells, and plays that current players can learn from books and tv.

  • The call was so great that it could either made by some noobs or the greats. There's no way that amateurs or even some pros could make that call.

  • wow, thats disgusting for ivey there.

it makes u think, maybe players should just muck small pairs pre-flop in that situation, while they're a 9 to 1 underdog.

  • 9 to 1 underdog????? 4/1 actually!!

  • You know what, from a sheer poker standpoint, these may not be great plays or spectacular skill sets, but you have to consider the circumstances of most of these. Final hands in '98, '95, hands against legends (Lederer)...

A better description might be Most Memorable hands, but either way, loved this segment and read the book referenced in Part One. Fascinating stuff.

"The Best Hand I Ever Played" by Steve Rosenbloom. Find it at your local bookstore or online, anywhere, now!

  • This has nothing to do with this video, and its only my humble opinion, from experience, but i believe donkeys rule the online tables. Donkeys that call themselves good players need to play in a real game and learn that they will get owned. I consider myself an above average player and every time i lost most of my chips i had the advantage and i was on top, then i would get sucked out on the river alot, i definately prefer real life poker rather than online poker. dont take offense im venting

  • yeah, i agree, i can relate, lol

there's too many maniacs playing online, and i get sucked out on the river a lot also. some ppl just call raise from any position w/ any suited connector, and go all in on the flop w/ flush draw~

yeah, i also play in real life, which is more fun anyways

  • doyle is a living leyend.

  • Come on, if Doyle would have raised Moss, he was only likely to be called by a better hand.. Claiming that he should have raised and bluffed at the pot, is very shortsighted

  • wtf deeb

  • doyle is the god of poker

  • doyle maybe god. but stu ungar is an entire religion, best ever

  • completely true.. he owned doyle when they played.. i think there is one video where he reads out exactly two cards doyle has with the suit.. doyle looking so ashamed..lol

  • yeah, he's got photographic memory and spot on read. He was banned from playing Blackjack at most casinos in Vegas, lol

btw, where can i find the video ?, i tried searching for it

  • its such a shame Ungar died so young he could've have done so much more for poker history

  • he was the greatest!! i think today he would have the most bracelets from all!

    R.I.P. mr. ungar!!

  • I don't know if he'd have the most because of the growing fields but he would have continued to win bracelets. Such a shame that Stu couldn't control his bad habits, he could have gone on to become one of the top ranked players in the world. Few players have a mind like his, to go beyond the cards and play his opponent's weaknesses, that is what made him...one of a kind.

    R.I.P. STU!

  • Phil Hellmuth Jr. has the most bracelets.

  • true, only 1 main event bracelet i think. Brunson has 2 main event bracelets.

  • Brunson's bracelets were won in the 70s when there was no more than 2 tables of players (under 20)

  • fail

  • Doyle is a legend and this hand is legendary too

  • lol Doyle actually mentioned that specific hand in "Super System"

  • okay please tell me how ivey made a terrible call with a set of sevens...and yeah deeb is ridiculous, he sucks out or catches up more than any player i have watched in the last three years and i watch a lot of them any chance i get, you know so i can pretend i am even close to playing on their level : )

  • So..the best hand was a pocket kings with a little bit of luck and a terrible call? Get out of here...what a bad beat

  • at 4:23, deeb's facial expression after looking at his shirt, then looking at ivey

  • Best read ever Doyle!

  • Such a joke when a bunch of online players are criticizing the reading abilities of quite possibly the best cash game player ever

  • best call ever

  • Can you imagine if Moss had a deuce!? Brunson woulda been labled a fish

  • thats funny hahahaha

  • no, if moss had an deuce the doyle wouldnt haven showed his hand

  • but johnny woulda found out after the game

  • oh and response to brunson should have raised

this is jhonny moss were talking about he is capable of a re steal brunson knew he was drawing at a straight from playing w him a million times. if he raised he might have to fold and leave his children in there

  • i like doyles quote about i was a good young gun

now hes an antiqe, still shoots the same just worth more

  • How was the Deeb's call w/ KK the best hand he ever played? Wasn't he dead to Ivey's set of 7's and 2 outer? They should take that hand out.

  • good comment dethbiker.....no offence prekazi

  • well Mr.Brunson the Legend, calling with jack high is a stupid move, he should raise and bluffed, just calling is an idiotic play.

  • Wow you should become a professional poker player because you know so much more than Doyle Brunson. Im sure yuo could take all his money given how he makes so many mistakes you wouldn't. But I guess you already have millions in your bankroll from playing so well, it wouldn't even be worth it.

  • besides, this was 1958. raising the wrong person gets you a bullet to the head and a shallow grave.

  • i dont think the Ivey?Deeb hand was anything unusual or informative. Neither player really made a mistake or showed great insight. -?

  • moss

  • the last one on this clip was a suck out and does not belong in the series. You may make a point that Phil Ivey made a good play. I will buy that. But KK winning over a set after the flop is a suck out and not a good call. Ivey make the right play.

  • I agree, not good poker, just luck.

  • These are the shows that real poker players want to watch. All that other flashy stuff is for the fishes. I really enjoy this show here because it is about great poker playing. I wish ESPN would show more of stuff like this rather than the distorted view outlandish lucky Donkey plays that they usually show.

  • Brunson: "The idiot check twice so I thought..." LOL

  • he said "this guy" not idiot

  • there is one video, which exist, where is a royal flush...

    has anybody this video?

  • the brunson call what amazing...

  • Definately - wow.

  • must b the ugly shirt, i tried that, it works :)

  • this is bullshit

  • shut up idiot

  • this show and the book were very stupid

  • why?

  • phil ivey "i just couldnt stand to look at his shirt anymore." :D
