this music video and the song itself are masterpieces and should go down in history as such. the idea that their planet is being consumed by ice an hence they are being sent into space to find another planet. is a great idea. but then the irony that they land on our earth that we have since destroyed is such a big symbol and sign, im so glad they thought of it. After looking up the words I interpret the vid as a poignant metaphor for the desolation expressed by the lyricist for an hopeless love. Poe would've loved it! The flight from a dying world only to find a dead one (Earth) and the fiery fall "from grace" (Complete with the souls-never-to-be-exhumed from the abandoned cryo-module at the end) work well metaphorically as a warning too. (Thanks Hedphelym, nice point!) My only technical niggle was the cryo ejection looked wind-blown....without air!
