@gicks87 can this work with metal instead of wood? i have some molds that are pretty big they weight about 50 to 60 lbs with out the plaster.. or do you think that just by using thicker wood will work?
@chahueto Metal should be fine, but you might want to use some bearings for the rotating parts. Also make sure that the machine is balanced, it will make the rotating a lot easier.
Look up Stelter Creative here and on the web. They have a heavy duty yellow metal one (very expensive to buy). See how it's built from their pictures. This will give you an idea how to apply bearings.
Could you tell me where the gears and chain came from?
