i got this record out of a thrift store for a buck.

it really sucked and i dont mean in cool/campy way.

it made the Mandrell Sisters sound like Motorhead!

The "New Wave Lover" Pinups were Bonnie Benedict (Lead), April Clough, Susanne Roleton and Kern McLeroy. But none of them sung in real like the phenomgroup Milli Vanilli. The singer of New Wave Lover was June LaVonne Polichio. In the late 80´s she took part of the german disco projekt "Sweet Connection" and released the singles "Need your passion" and "Dirty Job". Today she is a teacher for english an lives in Berlin.

This song is awesome!!! I have become totally fascinated with The Pinups since i have seen this video and "just about a dream". I can find ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about them anywhere on the web. I remember seeing their album in the stores when it first came out. I would LOVE to get in on cd now.

Wow ! wasnt even aware they had another video..the girls(the singer specially)don't even look like they did in the video I found of "Just About A Dream"(which would have been performed about 1 year later than this)

just about a dream was when June La Vonne Polichio, former Bonnie Benedict was not in the group anymore. She is my mom by the way ( lead in purple). If you liked this song you would probably like her hits in Sweet Connection as well :-)
