HELP!!! The most thing i cear about the graphics sis that it is a relistic shadow on the ground from props and such
^^. But when I go to options, clicking Video and after that clicking Advanced (The button that makes you come to the graphics tab) And i change shadows to medium, and when I click OK on both, it says in my console something like coulnd't write to userconfig.cfg
Host#Write into config.cfg. And when I resume game nothing happends!!!!!!!!!!
I remeber back in 2004 when I played HL2 on my integrated g card. It ran smooth on medium. But, now we have these. Oh well. I upgraded to a 8800gt, so Im happy.
Integrated graphics cards are 500 times better than in the old days. They aren't solely designed for only 2D rendering and have some decent 3D support in both DX and OpenGL.
That is some pretty decent 3D rendering for an integrated GPU, though it still seems to have problems with shaders as the world textures are distorted.
What is Your GPU? I have GMA 950 and it runs Gmod 9 (HL2: DM Engine) all on High with shadows and AA off.

I can run Episode 2 with like 10 FPS on my laptop.
I can get 30 FPS on Gm_Construct in Gmod.
50 on Flatgrass.
Perfect thing to do in the office.

lol hl2 isn't hard to max out. Half life 2 lost coast is a little harder though!

Yeah, but i don't care because i will get my new mainboard with an integrated HD3200 and a HD3650 and u can run them in Hybrid CrossFire :)
