  • If tat's in San Deigo, I saw the exact same one!

  • Kayla! She is so cute, I love her!

  • Even if they are originally from the wild, if released they would die either from the stress of removal or from bacterial diseases that their immune system cannot handle in the ocean. The orcas born there on the other hand, know nothing else. That is their home, and they've made pods with the other whales they've come to know. I'm not for captivity, but just putting it out there that it's a death sentence to release them. I hate how people are always putting negative comments on Sea World!

  • @BleachOrcalover13 thank you i totally agree and pple should really undestand this statement..... people should really do their research before accusations..

  • Yes They Di I Went There The Whales Are VERY happy So Much better Then In The Wild ... Srry To Say

  • Awh. Was that Kayla towards the start that was waving to the world!? She is so cute!

  • @sweetnessboy1 she almost always wiggles her pecs it cute!

  • The animals only perform if they want to… If the whales or dolphins didn't enjoy it, there would be no show. SeaWorld offers a rare opportunity to learn about these amazing creatures and protect the species. The animals are fed weather they perform or not, and they are never punished. Positive Reinforcement is used to train the animals. I cant imagine not having the opportunity to be up close to these amazing creatures.

  • @klbsl8r How is this learning? They are preforming a circus of behaviors they would never do in the wild. The only leson there is that it's ok to abuse nature

  • With respect to those who like SeaWorld, I think the complete opposite, for example, the Killer Whale, arguably the most feared predator in the sea, top of food chain, humuliated in front of thousands. SeaWorld care little for their animals, their main aim is to make money out of caging animals. Dolphins and Killer Whales are used to travelling up to 40 miles a day, they can't even travel more then 70 metres in their so called habitat tanks which are just concrete, thumbs up if you agree :)

  • It's really nice! I went there last week and it was amazing .I feel sorry for the trainer that was killed by the whale.

  • that's how we do it at Sea World San Diego

  • @justinbieberfan1591 There such magnificent creatures and 1 of thing i know about them is they can swim up to 35 mph

  • i love love this like alot of my heart

  • no they are not going to take anymore animals from the sea as soon as they come to the park they are taken care of then released .

  • as long as people keep coming to these rediculous expensive parks..they wil never shut them down.. and i heard sea world will look into posibilities to capture more sea animals.

    bastards!!!

  • @charleyy82 agreed, SeaWorld, as a whole, is just a massive money making scheme, humiliating animals just for profit. The wild arctic area, the new manta aquarium, dolphin and killer whale enclosures are all depressing, brings a tear to the eye

  • I want to work with shamu during the summer or holidays i go see shamu and thats my dream to work with shamu!!! im gunna be a shamu trainer when i graduate collage after highschool!

  • freedom for the whales!!!!!

  • Is it just me or do cute women make good whale trainers. I love watching women trainers work with the whales.

    Good example 3:36

  • This just isen't right...

  • whats not right about it?

  • this mgith be a bit of an impossible task, but where can i get the music which is played in the various shows (including shamu rocks, believe, odyssea, etc.) as i live in the UK and i cant find any of the music no matter how hard i look, any help much appriciated

  • Thanx! ^^

  • What is the song on 4:12 Write back plz cuz I love the song WRITE BACK PLZ

  • something far greater is da song :) xx

  • Comment removed

  • Yha me too. I just want that song, and seaworld is selling the cd with it for 90 bucks...I just want oe song lol

  • its called part of something far greater, i think, you can buy it at sea world, and maybe itunes, i will have to check

  • Evaluation of the performances scripts and settings, as well as

observation of the audiences reactions, reveal that a performance

is not an educational vehicle but a show in which miseducation

(in the form of inaccurate representation of such things as normal

behavior, life span, appearance, and social structure) occurs more

often than not. Naomi A. Rose PhD 2009

  • look, the whales get a choice in doing this, they are not like human beings. . they do what ever they can to get food. the reason the whales are here is becoz they wouldnt have survived in the ocean, seaworld wouldnt of been able to have just stolen whales from a family and split em up. the point is that they have these whales in captivity so the can breed this kind of specie so there isnt such a big chance of them becoming extinct. i totally agree with what seaworld has done, i think its awesom

  • Sorry, but you need to get your facts straight Sophii1994. Literally all of the wild-born orcas were taken away from their families in captures. NONE were rescued/wouldnt have survived.

Orcas are not endangered. They don't need "saving" by breeding in captivity. A captive-born orca is a distorted version of a wild one, an animal that is completely different than its wild counterparts. Even if orcas were in danger in wild- captive orcas wouldnt help the species.

  • But if they didn't save Orcas they might become endangered and I work there and I save alot of the whales they were usually beached or abandonned You do not have your facts straight and you don't have experiance there like I do

  • I TOTALLy agree with you sophii1994, dnt listen to noobody else your facts are correct x

  • Get your facts right. Every wild-born orca in seaworld was captured in "whale drives" either in Iceland, Norway, or the BC area. No captive orcas surviving today are from "rescues". Seaworld has never tried to release one of their orcas into the wild, they are absolutley NOT breeding to "save the species", they are doing it to insure they can make money in the future.

  • so true!!!!!!

  • @sophii1994 so you agree with SeaWorld humiliating the most feared predator in the sea, if you're thick enough to not know what i mean it's the killer whale? so you agree with the way they treat their animals with no respect? do you also agree with the ridiculous enclosures/tanks/fake habitats they've got to live in? these animals won't be able to be released as they're so reliant on humans, they'd just die as they've completely forgotten their natural instincts...does that sound awesome to you?

  • orcas are not WHALES, orcas are dolphins.

  • The orca or killer whale is a toothed whale that is an efficient predator, even attacking huge young blue whales. Their only enemy is human beings. Orcas live in small, close-knit, life-long pods and have 1 blowhole. The killer whale belongs to the family of dolphins and is the biggest dolphin. It is sometimes called the "wolf of the sea" because its behavior is similar to that of wolves.

  • their enemies arn't human beings

  • Everybody knows this here, kptwillard. Their species name is a killer whale, which is what everyone is refering to.

  • How about when you have a child, I take them away from you, put them in a cage, then tell them to jump and ill give them some food, oh, and you can NEVER see them again. Forgot to mention that. Oh yeah, and they have to perform infront of thousands of people. Forgot to mention that.

You can't say the whales enjoy this. You just can't.

  • Taikkah you're a complete retard. Comparing orca's to humans? Orca's don't take 18 years until they can function on their own. Most animals don't stick around with their parents for too long... They get food regardless of doing any behaviors (tricks) they just get treats for doing them. Some animals even like the attention. But no, you're completely right, you are so smart you know exactly what other animals and people are thinking and what they enjoy because you're just that fuking amazing

  • I'm comparing the living situation to a human. Orcas live in tight-knit groups called pods in the wild in which they live in all their lives. Most of the pod members are related. Each pod has its own dialect, or language in which they communicate.

In captivity orcas are given food regardless of their behavior, I NEVER DENIED THIS. I never denied they were content either, but come on. They aren't /enjoying/ doing the same tricks over and over again day after day show after show EVERY day. no.

  • I'm a marine Biologist and they eventually leave there pods I've been studying the whales on a boat

  • This show was amazing, Its nice that all the whales actually enjoy doing this. I thought it was really good! Got a similar video on my phone! :)

Really Well done to Sea World and all the Shamu's. :)

  • @WoahLikeWoahLike 'Its nice that all the whales actually enjoy doing this' gonna back that up with sufficient evidence? they probably hate being humiliated but because there's food on offer, they'll suffer for the sake of entertainment, I cannot believe people like you actually like and support SeaWorld

  • @wackytackybacky Well, i enjoyed watching it, and if it was that bad then they wouldn't be doing the show would they ;S But can you prove that they hate it either? .. Otherwise they'll be doing the show for nothing if no one went. ;\

    good luck with your theory!

  • @WoahLikeWoahLike No I can't prove that they hate it, hence why I said 'they probably hate being humiliated'. I'll admit, the show is brilliant, it's just the way that they treat their animals with little respect which annoys me most, the small holding tanks the killer whales have to live in, the dolphin tank is of adequate size however, there's too many dolphins in the tank. The new manta aqaurium tanks are too small, the wild arctic area as a whole is very depressing

  • Shamu! Shamu!

  • LET THE WHALES BE FREE

  • That my dear is HELL!

  • what is the little whale name?

  • they dont disresect there orca's

    so go fuck your self

  • My vocal teacher is the one singing the "Believe" Theme Song = ]

    Go Nancy!...and Shamu!!

  • really? tell ur vocal teacher she makes the show epic RESPECT!!

  • they are given there natural diet

  • they are given there natural diet.

  • what food are the whales feed. Also do they live just as happy there as they do in the wild because they certainly looked cared for.

  • Orcas eat fishes there, sometimes they give some proteins and nutrients in the fishes, maybe when they're sick or something like that, but it's nothing different from what they would eat if they were free. SeaWorld orcas are nowadays mostly born in captivity so there's no way to compare if thy are happier in captivity or in the wild and the ones that were captures, it's been a long time since they were free, they probably don't remember how it is...

  • i will be there this coming feb it looks amazing

  • Thank you! Of course I'll say hi to Aurek for you!!

  • there safe there

  • orcas dont need to be kept safe, there perfectly capable of lookin after themselves, they hav dun it for 1000s of years. orcas are wild animals that deserve to be just that - WILD! they are very inteligent creatures that hav better sences than we could eva hav and are therefore perfectly capable of protecting them selves. after all what would u rather have - independence, choices of life, gaining new experiences at every turn, OR be kept in one space for the rest ov your life, being spoon fed

  • I agree with you completely.

  • thanks :)

  • there safe there besides they love there orcas

  • there safe there.seaworld loves there orcas

  • dude they have a fucking perfect life there with like few other whales

  • Now I see the show of Shamu has been great. When I was in Seaworld last summer something must happened with the whale cause all my family thought the show was so poor, boring and desapointing, nothing to do with the performing I'm seeing now in this video.
