I have a place in a small rural town in Missouri, and have Ameren U.E. for my electric service. I pay on average 8.6 cents per kw/hr. On the farm I have a coop that charges 18 cents per kw/hr, crazy ain't it. Big gap in cost! Guess where I would charge my electric car?
@TranshumanCyborg People can always leave a few minutes early for that matter. I blew a tire at 65MPH and nearly lost control, with a compact car. These cars with their 12' wheels can't take any potholes either, with out tearing something up under the car. The electric ones would be better in an urban area, but if you had to drive 60 miles a day from work to home, you have to pay somewhere to have it charged.

Some companies might be trying to use global warming to make money. But that doesn't mean that global warming is false. You can even test it yourself. Look at a chart of average global temperatures for the past few decades, they're going up. It's simple!

I know that location. Palace of Fine Arts in the Marina District, one block north of Lombard St. and not far from the Golden Gate Bridge, about a 1/2 mile. I have no question many people watched this being filmed, because there are often a lot of people out in that area at that time of day. A serious question is if increasing CO2 from 200 ppm to 380 ppm is sufficient to warm Earth. I believe that it is, but I can calculate as a physicist. We did indeed have an ice age 10,000 years ago. As the ice melted, the city of Dwarka was flooded. This is an important issue, one that we need to treat seriously.

Regardless of whether the power mongers are making money off of this. There ARE pollution problems. How many cities in the world stink from pollution. If they suddenly said there is no global warming, they would just find another way to capitalize off of it. If there is any truth in global warming, then at least we're still safe.

I have a place in a small rural town in Missouri, and have Ameren U.E. for my electric service. I pay on average 8.6 cents per kw/hr. On the farm I have a coop that charges 18 cents per kw/hr, crazy ain't it. Big gap in cost! Guess where I would charge my electric car?

@TranshumanCyborg People can always leave a few minutes early for that matter. I blew a tire at 65MPH and nearly lost control, with a compact car. These cars with their 12' wheels can't take any potholes either, with out tearing something up under the car. The electric ones would be better in an urban area, but if you had to drive 60 miles a day from work to home, you have to pay somewhere to have it charged.

If we were really serious about pollution we would out-law these gas-gusilers, and the increased number of big-rigs on the road, doesn't help any either. Our want it now life style is what's killing everything. It wouldn't hurt to go back down to 55 MPH, like we did in the 80's.

The thing about it is that 40 years ago it was all about Global Cooling and that was the scare back then. 40 years from now it may be the same issue given a full circle. Ok one thing that really blows a hole in this is that the U.S. loses money by following UN resolutions and epa regulation. China doesn't follow shit, so we are just losing even more money to china in manufacturing as companies avoid regulations in the U.S. And the U.S. has independant scientists. there is this dud down the street from me who had solar panels on his roof from like almost 30 years ago the only resaon why they dont have them today is because its to simple and it would be so affordable. Development has been im sure slow down and manipulated on purpose the dud told me it stop working and he had to take them down because there not even attainable any more but they did a good job for like 15 -20 years and they where made in 1970 come on just look how far computers has came

The one scientist who claims he is hiding from death threats said "it is the Sun to blame"... This is false. In fact we are not seeing the full effects of GW now because of such low activity on our star.
Why didn't they show what our little star has really been up to for the past decade? Oh well, At least they exposed the money making scam part of the equation. GW is REAL! We are rapidly screwing this planet up, and it's not just CO2 that's the problem.

Global warming is a fact. FACT. If you read any peer reviewed scientific journal you'd know that.
Some companies might be trying to use global warming to make money. But that doesn't mean that global warming is false. You can even test it yourself. Look at a chart of average global temperatures for the past few decades, they're going up. It's simple!

@daffodyllady I assume you meant to ask "why ISN'T Mars warming." First of all, while the Martian atmosphere is indeed 95% CO2, the air is so thin (0.636 kPa) that it cannot hold heat well. Secondly, given Mars's greater distance (1.5 AU) from the Sun, it receives significantly less solar heating than Earth. Third, the gravity is only 38% of Earth's, thus the atmosphere is higher, allowing for greater radiational cooling. I hope that answers your query.
