Then they left Activision to the title so they could work at something new(Rock Band) Activision is like cool lets make guitar hero encore and guitar hero 3. then now their like heh were copiing you. and no the rock band 2 drums feel more like real life. Most drum set have 1 snare 2 toms and 1 of the other thing plus a few cymbals. aka 4 pads(Rock Band) and then a few cymbals(Rock Band 2 has 3)

On Guitar Hero, I can play the songs on guitar better than i can on Expert on the game. These games may be no relation to real skill on real instruments, but it is still fun to play, and it doesnt stop me playing the fact my friend (with no musical talent what-so-ever) can beat me on songs i can play all the way through on the real guitar. :P

Well it'll take more than a few days to master the songs at expert actually.

And one big factor as to why it would be quicker to learn on the simulator is cause the motivation is a lot stronger. The game aspect of the thing is rewarding in the short term so tends to motivate sticking to it.

Also, I'm not convinced that with such motivation, someone couldn't learn the same songs on the real instruments in a matter of "days" as you say.

Of course they wouldn't learn the theory for it.
